The first years really will get you through the first years with their products. They are sturdy, reliable and trustworthy. I bought the First Years baby monitor and it helped me relax. I knew that i didnt' have to worry about hearing my children when this monitor was plugged in. I knew that it would do the work for me. I felt confident leaving the room and knowing that i could hear my children shoudl they make a sound. I could hear them if something was wrong and i could heard them if they woke up. I liked this monitor better than others because I noticed that I didn't ahve to worry about the interference factor like you normally do with other monitors. I give this first years baby monitor a thumbs up. I would highly recommend it.

The First years baby monitor is a great thing. I can put the baby down for a nap upstairs in her bedroom and I can go down stairs to do laundry without any worry. I just love it.

I checked reviews and did my research. This item was more highly rated when I did my research so; that is why I registered for one.

I would give it ZERO stars if I could.

The first one we got from a shower conked out after ONE MONTH. I thought it must be the unit we had so I exchanged it for another...that one lasted about TWO months before it quit.

It would SEEM to be on, but I never heard anything from the baby's room. We were on the deck the first time this occurred and when we went in the house the baby was totally crying!!!

I was VERY upset that the monitor picked up NOTHING! We did not realize it had stopped working until that time.

I have decided that in monitors you get what you pay for; we now paid over $50 for a Fisher Price model that even picks up the ticking of the clock in our bathroom. MUCH Better and I am now happy.

I am a grandmother , I watch the g'kids daily and needed this for the new baby. It is a great item, the FIRST YEARS MONITOR works great fro when I am down stairs or outside with the older children, It will work out in back yard, have been as far away as 60 feet, and ehard the sounds of the baby.

I cannot remember the rate it is given for distance, but I am happy with the way it works for me. For what I need and the times I have used it, it works great.

I would reccomend The First Years Monitor to anyone budget minded, to buy it for a gidft. Buy it for yourself, or for your child care person.

It will give you peace of mind.

I had never used one with my child, so all this was new. Glad to see somethingI could plug in, putin batteries and carry on my belt. And not worry about missing a cry. or even a phone call, as it picks up any noise in the room.

I will pass this Monitor along to another person whenI am done, Iwould not toss it, but will sell at a garage sale, telling howit works of...

The First Years Baby Monitor is an affordable option for a standard baby monitor. The price really drew me to this specific brand and model. The First Years Baby Monitor doesn't offer the latest technology, but includes two receivers that are helpful in hearing the baby all around the house. The First Years Baby Monitor does not have great reception; it is somewhat fuzzy. The monitor gets a lot of interference. Also the static through the receivers is irritating when trying to sleep with them in the same room. When listening for a newborn, the volume on the First Years Baby Monitor must be turned up all the way to hear baby clearly. However, if listening for an older baby or toddler, the sound quality is sufficient. The long distance range is pretty good, I can travel 2 houses down the street and get decent reception. The belt clip is helpful for toting the monitor hands free around the house or outside. The monitor have taken beating at our house and still work...pretty durable!......

I have used The First Years Baby Monitor for three children. Overall, I like this product. It picks up baby's sounds well and the portable monitors sound clear. It does give back some staticy feedback at times which is annoying, especially at night. I do like the security I have in being able to hear my baby when I am outside or in the basement. ...

It picks up on the slightest noise, but if you have other wireless devices around the house, you are likely to get lots of feedback....

I received one of these baby moniters as a gift for my baby shower. I loved them at first. They do pick up the smallest sound and help a lot; however, recently one of my moniters just stopped working. It might turn on for a couple of seconds once in a blue moon, but now I'm only limited to the one other moniter (it comes with two hand held moniters). And it's not like I even had it very long, only one and a half months. It also says it goes for 600 ft., but if the battery isn't FULLY charged, like brand new, it won't go that far....

I have four kids and finally decided I must have a baby monitor! Wow has my life gotten easier! This one really works well. I am able to go outside while my littlest one sleeps and feel confident that I can get back in the house before she wakes up completely. Not only does it pick up her crying...but the reception even lets me hear her roll over....

The First Years Baby Monitor is the only monitor that I have found that reaches through out my whole house. We have a two-story home and other monitors do not always reach downstairs into my room. I have used this for my second child with health issues and never missed a sound it is so clear it sounds like they are in the same room! I used a more expensive one for my first child and it didn't last. So I got this as a gift and I love everything about the first years monitor. It has been going strong since 2006 and it is still clear. I have only once picked up other sounds i think from a cordless phone but overall i wouldn't waste your money on any thing else....
