Not only does Dan write a good tale, he gives you a million facts to research and LEARN! While he weaves a wonderful storyline he inspired me to look up untold details he lays out....the Divine Proportion (look it up!) the Illuminati, the Masons, the Vatican, the Last Supper painting...on and on it goes! I've read all but his last book and can't wait for Santa to bring me that!

Dan Brown writes a compelling book and once you start reading this book it is very difficult to put it down. The Da Vinci Code is one of those books that causes one to think about many of our belief systems. Dan Browns writings are very well researched.

I first came across this concept of Jesus being married to Mary Magdalent when I read Holy Blood, Holy Grail by Michael Baigent, Richard Leigh and Henry Lincoln. This book is a hypthesis as there is little documentation to support their writings.

The Da Vinci Code begins in Paris, France when Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon receives an urgent phone call. Thus begins a enthralling story which takes you from the Louvre to the French countryside then to London, England ending in Scotland in search of the the Holy Grail.

There are many obstacles to overcome and enemies from unexpected places. Does the Priory of Sion exist and, if so, who is the current leader?

Get very comfortable and prepare for an exciting read.

Dan Brown's Da VInci Code is really nice. It seems like all its plots are really true. I read it twice and I am still loving it. The book is a lot better than its movie! I am a christian and it made me doubt of my belief at some point but still i dont mind it even if i read it twice.. It's really intertaining. The info about arts is great! i love it.. I think Dan Brown made a very good masterpiece!...

Loved this book. It is a real pageturner and Dan really keeps the suspense in it's book until the end. I am gonna read more books of this writer....

I really enjoyed this book. I didn't exactly believe anything that it said, and I took it as completely fictional. That being said, I still thought that it had a very interesting and intriguing plot and I couldn't put it down until it was finished!...

The DiVinci code was an interesting story but totally unreal. I think Dan Brown found his following shrinking so he decided to write something to shake people up. It did but it also started the strangest cult following. People who are easily led astray from the truth, maybe don't even care about truth. ...

Completing the trail of cryptic clues simply becomes an end in and of itself -- think Sudoku: The Movie -- with little in the way of whimsy, star chemistry or excitement to enliven the dour plod. Even as a visual aid, The Da Vinci Code is a deep-dyed disappointment. Paris by night never looked murkier.

My daughter introduced me to this book. I enjoy reading especially if the book has some controversial facts in it. In reading the book a few questions were brought up. How do we know Christ wasn't married---did he have any children? Where was Mary Magdalen in his life? People assume the Holy Grail is a chalice, but, do we know for sure. Does anyone really know what Michael Angelo painted (I mean like hidden pictures or meanings)? We go by other peoples opinions so why should we criticize Dan Brown's opinion. I feel a book was written for enjoyment, not to criticize. I am not a good writer (as you can see) but I do enjoy a good book. If a book brings up questions and has a person doing a little research on the topic written, then I think it is an interesting book. Thank you for reading. Nancy

P.S. I am Catholic if that matters any.

An excellent read--I tend to be a book snob, soo many un-intelligent rantings running around out there these days< but this was definetely worth my time!!!! A must read!!!!...

I really enjoyed this story, but afterwords found online that there were many facts that were twisted or incorrect. Read it, but make sure not to believe everything he says....

Okay story. It was a good read. If you know history , you can see the book is filled with inacuracies. The whole conspiracy about Mary Magdelene being not given her rightful place in the Catholic Church I found a bit to much especially when the Church puts Mary the Mother in such a place that this story believes was lost to Mary the "Wife". Remember folks this is FICTION not fact. ...
