I joined the Closer in its second season and have been a die-hard fan ever since. Kyra Sedgwick is brilliant as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson of the LAPD's Major Crimes Division. It's a procedural show, so you don't have to have seen every episode to start watching. But you'll definitely be hooked as soon as you do.

The show follows Brenda as she and her team of Detectives investigate murders, rapes and other major crimes in LA. One of the best-written female characters on television, Brenda is beautiful, feminine, brilliant and can hold her own amongst the mostly male department. She might be wearing a skirt, but she can take down a bad guy. Best of all, she's a brilliant Closer - great at eliciting confessions from bad guys.

I'm a writer, so I'm usually good at guessing the outcomes of mystery shows. But my favorite part of The Closer is that, unlike so many other shows, The Closer keeps you guessing right up until Brenda gets her confession. And it always makes sense...

One night I was just flipping through the channels and when I flip I might pause for a minute or two, then go on, but I paused on "The Closer". and I couldn't stop watching! Oh, my word, I did not do my regular go through all of them then weed out what I want or flip back and forth. I could not turn it! I was mesmerized. The plot of the show caught my attention right away. My husband came along, asked what I was watching, I explained to him and before you knew it, both of us were hooked! Snap! Just like that!

I love Kyra Sedgwick! She makes the show! I got so wrapped up in her character that I was getting upset when she was upset. Ha! I loved to get involved! She is actually rather funny also. Her humor fits the character. I did not feel like I was watching a show, because she was so into her character that I felt like I was right there.

I love crime shows and this one definitely got me! Love it! Love it! Love it! Right up their with Law and Order!

I need to add this show to my list of...

The Closer is an amazing police mystery show. I enjoy watching her find the clues etc. for her cases. This show lets people know that a woman is just as capable as a man when it comes to solving crimes. When at work, she is all business, at home she is mom! Never saw Kyra before but hope to see her on other shows soon.

The Closer is one the best crime series on television today.Krya Sedgwick is great in her role as Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson. She is the leader of a special unit of LAPD that handles sensitive high profile murder cases. Recently we've seen some changes as they have added a broader spectrum to include major crimes also. But no matter what case they are working on, she leads the way in her usual style. I can't imagine somelse playing this role. The show wouldn't work without Kyra Sedgwick.

This is one show I watch without ever that leaving the room. Phenomenal episodes this season keep you wanting more. I'm yet to be disappointed with any episode of this show. Fast tracked action keeps you on the edge of your seat for the full hour it is on. I dread the words final episode. And love the words season premiere where The Closer is concerned. It's a cross between soap opera and prime time drama done as never before.This show is the best of both worlds. I only wish it had a longer season....

"The Closer", starring Kyra Sedgewick, is a twist on procedural police programs we are accustomed to watching on TV. It is on TBS, a cable network, and I believe that furthers the storylines; as the conventional networks stifle writers into predictable plots.

Kyra's character, Assistant Chief Brenda Lee Johnson,&******* a neurotic, secretive candy-holic, emotional person who happens to have amazing intincts and powers of delegating her motley supporting cast of assorted detectives, each with their own unique talents and ambitions. She is the essential Southern Belle come to the big city, and has earned the respect of tough guys in and out of the station house with her unconventional ways.

She is also a loving, but sometimes confused, wife to an FBI agent-and their relationship often causes interesting on- and off- the job entanglements. Her mother and father are real "characters" themselves, and often figure into the stories; as did Amy Sedaris, who played Brenda's husband's annoyingly...

There aren't many reasons out there why one should be excited about Mondays but here's one: The Closer. A good way to start the week is with a good show and here we've got one. The Closer is one of the best dramas out there. It is fun, intriguing and suspenseful. It has a great cast and the writing is witty but serious at the same time. Each week the plot is interesting and catching. Krya Sedgwick does a great job at getting into character with Brenda and her quirky habits, such as reaching for chocolate or some sweet of any kind in high stress situations or short comments she makes because she can't swear on cable (and probably never would in real life either). The hour long show feels like it flies by - even with the commercial interruptions. Sometimes the endings can be a little cut short, specially in this last season finale; it felt like it all ended too quickly, but the relationships that are built within the cast are strong enough to make me linger for more until next season.

I absolutely love The Closer, it has the best actress and actors in its cast. They all work well together. The Closer usually starts with a dead body and the Major Crime Unit gets to work. The Closer has comedy, action, and good old fashioned who done its. Also, Kyra Sedwick's accent on the show is so cute, along with her huge purse that has everything in it. Her marriage to Fritz was a great episode and I can't wait to see how it all turns out.

I enjoy a good drama. I also like for it to be quirky. That is why I enjoy the show. The stories are very interesting, with some strange twists. I am always rooting for Brenda to get the bad guy. Her relationship with Fritz is endearing. The supporting cast does an outstanding job.

The Closer, one of TNT's wonderful prime time programs, is a well written, well acted, fast-paced drama with a clever touch of comedy. Kyra Sedgwick shows her versatility as an actress as Deputy Chief Brenda Lee Johnson of the Los Angeles Police Department.

The title of the series comes from Sedgwick's character's ability to close the most difficult cases. She is a police officer who has been brought to Los Angeles by her former boss (a man with whom she has a romantic past) to head a department devoted to solving "priority homicides". Her rank of Deputy Chief places her above a number of officers who at first resent her but soon learn to respect her talent. Since the series began, the department has expanded its focus to include all "major cases".

While she is brilliant in her ability to solve crimes, it's in her relationships with people, both at work and at home with her FBI boyfriend (who has since become her husband) and her parents who occasionally appear, that the comedic moments...

The Closer is one of televisions finest programs. The premise centers on Deputy Chief Brenda Lee Johnson from Atlanta, who heads the Major Crimes Division in Los Angeles. She has been given the nickname "Closer" for her unique ability to get a suspect to confess, thus closing her case. Each week, she tackles a new murder, which frequently has no witnesses and odd circumstances. She is often met with resistence from rival divisions and other law enforcement agencies.

Each case is unique, and the obvious or not so obvious suspect is not always who you expect. Viewers enjoy the investigation as much as they enjoy watching, Deputy Johnson get a confession.

Helping her in her investigations is an ecclectic group of individuals specializing in different areas of law enforcement. Each detective gets a chance to shine and display their unique talents. The actors do an excellent job of making the detectives both human and comedic. Rather than blending into the background, the cast...

The closer is one of my favorite TV shows. It adds a different twist to the usual cop drama and Branda is a delightful character. Introducing her parents added a lot to her personal story line, and the writing is very creative but consistent with the characters. You won't regret watching this show!

The Closer television program is the highlight of my T.V. week. I love the idea that they keep you guessing until the end of the program. The writers are fabulous. I prefer this program over the others on the air because it actually draws you into the story line. It makes you think and analyze as if you are part of the crime scene. The fact that they deal with solving the crime, and not the blood and quts is refreshing. Unlike others, there is a bit of comedy in it with the other characters surrounding Kyra. She doesn't act like the leading actor, but and equal to them all. It's refreshing and should be considered as an equal to NCIS or Law and Order and not secondary. It should be a weekly program year round not just in summer. I would prefer to see them replace on of the others and place this one in it's time slot. It's well worth watching and all the actors in this program are worthy of first place status.

I have been a fan of this show since the beginning. It is probably the only show on television that I make a point to watch every episode live while it airs. In the day and age of on demand and tivo it's not as common anymore for people to actually make a night out of a TV program.. But with the offerings that TNT has given for Monday night with "The Closer" and "Saving Grace" It's a can't miss evening.

At first glance this would be a run of the mill cop show. Yes it is, but it is hardly run of the mill. The story lines are interesting, carefully thought out and in some cases absolutly brilliantly written. I find myself trying to figure out who done it right along with main character Brenda Lee Johnson played by Sedgwick.

Brenda Lee is a recent transplant to LAPD major crimes unit. Where she is charged to solve some of the most outrageous crimes that LA County has to offer. Brenda is a closer, CIA trained closer. Her job is to get that confession. Which she does...
