The Body Shop is one of my favorite stores. I'm one to pick up just about anything in the store to try it out. At The Body Shop I can try out most products in the store before buying. This saves me money sometimes. I've rarely bought something from The Body Shop that I decided after getting it home that I didn't like it. So what all do they have?

The Body Shop

The Body Shop is a retail store that sells bath and body products, makeup and skin care products for the most part. The unique thing about The Body Shop is that their products are made from natural ingredients. Those "natural ingredients" are purchased through trade agreements in third world countries.

Why does this matter, you may ask? First of all, it gives a disadvantaged community an income and money coming in that they normally would not have.

The prices are a bit on the high side when purchased at regular price. However, there is always something on sale. I always stock up when they have the 75% off sale....

The body shop was to my way of thinking one of the first, if not the first of the mall based (or big box if you will) bath and body products speciality shops. Granted it was first in only the higher end malls, including on in the Pittsburgh PA airport, but mall shopping none the less. It predated Bath and Body Works, and the bath product lines by Victoria's Secret, and the GAP etc.

The Body Shop has higher quality products than its imitators, and seems to use more natural ingredients. They are committed to not testing on animals, and using fair trade products, all positive things in my world.

Many of their products are directly responsible for me buying beauty products in obsessive fashion. Their Peppermint Foot Lotion, their Scent it your self Bath and Shower Wash, their dewberry oil for scenting said shower wash. I love their Vitamin E line, and think their body butters are quite fine. I would recommend their olive oil line, anything they make that smells like grapefruit and I think...

The Body Shop is an amazing place full of different skin therapy items. I can go in and spend an hour or more browsing through the different herbal lotions and items in this store. The prices are very reasonable and the quality is impecable. The ladies that work there always seem to know a great deal about the products offered. Any time I need lotions, scrubs, or anything else, I shop here first. I have never gotten something that I didn't like, and never noticed anyone having an issue when they needed to return something for various reasons. I have bought many gifts here for family and friends for different occassions, and always been praised for having the knack to give good gifts. I know that if you buy something from here, you will definately be pleased and shop here again. Try giving it to someone as a gift, and I promise you will get nothing but rave reviews! I shop here a few times a month and have numerous products at home currently.

As far as skin creams and body butters I have sampled too many to name. I have found the products at The Body Shop to be of good quality. The main reason for the 3 stars is due to the cost vs. quality. I will start with the body butters. They make my dry skin feel silky, it lasts all day and they are not overly scented. I have tried several other products that get the job done for half the cost. I can not believe what they are charging for those body butters! I do not think it is worth the money. The second product I will discuss are the home scent oils. They smell great but I feel they are overly scented to the point of giving me a headache. I get the same feeling when I walk into the store. When they have the oils burning they are overwhelming, not to mention expensive. I would much rather smell clean!! Lastly, I must mention the frequent shoppers club they had going on a while back (not sure if they still do this) but you had to actually pay for the "privileged" to save on overpriced...

the bath and body products are wonderful, i shop there for my body cream, shower gel, candles and everything. The fragrance of bath and body products lasts longer than the any other companies.there are many other companies whose products are execelent but they are not affordable at all. They have lots of coordinated products so I can match my body lotion with my bath gel etc, and they all smell so nice.
the experience of the walk in the store-all of the sweet aroma from the lotions, candles, body spray, perfume etc, mixed all together is divine.
The smell of bath and body product is great.The fragrance of bath and body products lasts longer than the any other companies. They are really good quality, smell fantastic, and their only downfall is that they are expensive. but if you wait for the sale and use coupons you can get a good deal. coupons are commonly available on internet. i love the bath and boby products products.

The body shop body butters are my favourite. They are really good quality, smell fantastic, and their only downfall is the price. If you are going to buy the body butters I would suggest waiting for a good sale. The burning oils are also great, try watermelon. ...

so there is a bath and body works in salem, oregon in the salem center mall, its on the other side by nordstroms and on the 2nd floor. the employees were very..non talkative i should say but the merchandise is wonderful, i shop there for my body cream and everything, i love the different scents that they have and im talking ALL SORTS of different kinds. i think the employees could try talking more instead of just sayin hi and walking off, but the products are very good...

Their products are something else. i mean really, can you go anywhere else and smell good products like that? I dont think so! And then. you been in the store? Since i was 12 years old, i have been using bath and body products and now i am 21. Doe last 9 years, i have tried to use other companies products, but somehow i end up falling for bath and body over and over again. I know that we can find body products for cheaper in other places, but there are reasons behind why bath and body is expensive. The smell of bath and body products lasts way longer than the other companies. It also has a lot of different options to pick from. The smell of bath and body is great. The products are I believe that bath and body products rock. You all should try bath and body products....

I love going to Bath and Body for my skin care needs. They have lots of coordinated products so I can match my body lotion with my bath gel etc, and they all smell so nice. I have never found one I didn't like and if you shop sales and the internet for special coupons, they are very affordable.They also make good gifts....
