http://www.viewpoints.com/Terry-Goodkind-Wizards-First-Rule-reviews Wed, 03 Dec 2008 23:44:46 GMT Latest reviews about Terry Goodkind - Wizard's First Rule http://www.viewpoints.com/Terry-Goodkind-Wizards-First-Rule-review-e7255 Wizard's First Rule is an amazing begining to the series with belivable plot twists and turns, action, adventure, romance, not too much, and deep witty characters.  Each of the main three characters, Zedd, Kahlan, and Richard, are good people, but also have flaws.  None of the characters are very forthcoming with information, but all have trust in each other and protect one another to the death.  Zedd is very humorous and witty, Richard is a little nieve, but only uses his power for good, and Kahlan deals with harsh coldness every day, but is still able to be warm and loving.  Th book is dark and intense, but often humorous with lighthearted moments between the three.  The book is very long in pages, but it doesn't bore or go too long.... Wizards first rule is the beginning of a wonderful adventure. It takes you through a multitude of feelings. You will love every page. There is the classic but unconventional good verses evil. I absolutely love some of the battle tactics in this series. I just get so excited thinking about it i can't hardly write this review. The last book in this series (the sword of truth) just came out, so it is a complete set. A definite must read with characters you will fall in love with and complex story lines that you can relate to and draw strength from. ... Mon, 03 Dec 2007 17:31:44 GMT http://www.viewpoints.com/Terry-Goodkind-Wizards-First-Rule-review-3fad0 Lamsmom1 5 http://www.viewpoints.com/Terry-Goodkind-Wizards-First-Rule-review-a6ed0 Wizard's First Rule is the first of many books by Terry Goodkind.  It was recommended to me by a stranger who saw me reading David Eddings (which I also love).  I wish I could find the person who recommended it, because I owe them a large debt of gratitude!!!  So many fantasy books come down to good prevailing because they always do.  There is nothing wrong with this necessarily, but it definitely seems very fantastic sometimes....  Goodkind does not do this.  Good triumphs through intelligence.  Good triumphs through determination.  Good triumphs by doing what has to be done, instead of what they want to do and never giving up.  You will not find an army winning a battle they should not simply because they are good in a Goodkind book.  What you will find is really complex characters who don't always succeed, but who never give up.  Characters who are good, but not always virtuous and certainly not perfect.  Situations and plots that will make you think and maybe question......
