I've had the Rhapsody bed for a little over a year and it's gotten way too soft it's lost it's ability to support my back well. I feel like I'm sleeping on a feather bed surrounded by hard material. I have several other tempurpedic classic nine inch beds in other rooms of my house and that mattress has been a gem to sleep on and doesn't seem to loose it's support and loosen up like this one does. I really am disappointed with this mattress. My back hurts every morning when I wake up and I'm waking up several times during the night trying to move to a place in the middle of my king size bed that hasn't softened yet.

I purchased the TempurPedic Rhapsody bed while I was pregnant. It was the most uncomfortable bed I had ever slept in. It is expensive so I kept it and thought after the baby was born maybe it would be more comfortable. But I was wrong! This bed was delivered and set up. The minute they came inside the house I noticed a strong disgusting odor coming from the bed. It smelled kind of like formaldehyde. Even after allowing the mattress to air out for a few days, as directed by the manufacturer, and through a mattress pad, and sheets I could still smell the stench. They claim you can try it for free for 90 days, but they charge you a pick up fee, a return fee, and a delivery fee back to the wharehouse when you return it. The comfort of the bed leaves much to be desired. It was really hard. It hurt my body. It was very uncomfortable and I felt sore all over after lying on it for 10-15 minutes. The Rhapsody is one of Tempurpedic's better mattress, if you go by price. We are currently on our 2nd set within about a year and a half. The first bed/mattress failed within a year and we received a second one from the company. For the first couple of months it was great, but it, too, is now failing. While the company did stand behind their warranty, the process of proving failure was not an easy one. When we had the initial problem we asked if we could just switch to the basic, lesser expensive bed, but were told we could only replace what we had bought.

When I say the bed failed, I am referring primarily to the support it was supposed to give but did not. With the memory foam, the bed is supposed to return to its original shape (as in the indentations of the body are supposed to fill in after rising). However, this bed developed "troughs" where we slept and the center of the bed resulted being higher than the sides. In the end we had over 1" difference in height from...

My first experience with a Tempurpedic was at a friends house. We (my boyfriend at the time, now husband) spent the night and were equally thrilled and cautious about sleeping on such a strange and unusually alluring device. As the evening of comraderie came to an end and we layed down on the Tempurpedic, we looked at each other and wondered aloud "hmmm". Then we looked at each other again and simultaneously said "ahhhh!" as we sank, slowly, into the scientific wonder. The next thing I knew, it was morning. And we were both still in the exact same position we were 8 hours prior. What a surprisingly wonderful night's sleep!

It was then that we decided we needed to get one of these things.

Of course, having the dream and purchasing the dream are two entirely separate animals; these Tempurpedics do not come without a hefty pricetag. Basically we might as well have said, "good morning, honey! We're going to need to come up with $3000 as soon as possible"! In fact, if you do fall...

I have the 10 inch tempurpedic and am amazed that this product has so many good reviews. I really dislike this mattress. Although we keep our A/C at 72 degrees the mattress gets so hot I toss and turn all night moving across the king sized mattress to escape. My husband? Well he moves to the coil spring in the guest room. Also the mattress smells really bad when you first get it; this takes many months to decrease. As for comfort, the bed sinks so that your shoulders feel dislocated (I'm a side sleeper) and your back moves into an unnatural position. Ironically I hear the salespeople talk about the thicker mattresses having better airflow!! Rubbish! It's just a thicker piece of heat retaining foam.

Don't buy this mattress unless you've slept on one for several nights in temperatures you live at. Maybe back sleepers will have a different experience. Otherwise you are wasting your money and buying a poor nights sleep.

We're very disappointed with this expensive uncomfortable mattress.

Don't buy this mattress unless you've slept on one for several nights...

When my husband and I were looking for a new bed two years ago we decided to try a Tempurpedic. We went to the store several times. We laid on the different model beds and just about fell asleep one time. These beds are amazing. The memory foam aspect never goes bad. We sleep better and our backs are no longer achy when we wake up.

I have to write this review on the Thempurpedic Rhapsody Bed. It is by far the most comfortabe bed I have ever slept on in my fifty seven years. My husband and I tried every other mattress in the store, but could not find another one at any cost that measured up to the sheer comfort of this one. It is without a doubt worth every penny we paid for it many times over. I have suffered with arthritis for years, making it very hard to get a comfortable night's sleep. The first night I spent on the Tempurpedic mattress I knew we had made the right decision in picking the Rhapsody. I have now been sleeping on this mattress for over a year now. My husband also was having trouble resting at night. Every morning he would wake up sore from sleeping on our old mattress. Since the Temprupedic mattress has arrived, he too has had no more problem with getting a great night's sleep. We are both so grateful to have bought this bed, and would certainly recommend it to anyone else trying to...

We were looking for a cheap queen size mattress for a guest room. Instead, we decided to buy ourselves a new mattress and move the old one to the guest room. We knew of others who loved their tempurpedic, so since there was the 30 day free trial, we decided to give it a try. Well, after just one night we were hooked! This is the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on! I was having a lot of trouble with my shoulder, especially if I had slept on it. Not a problem anymore! I also no longer wake up with back pain. I only wish we had bought this mattress sooner!

I have a Tempurpedic Rhapsody Mattress and can truly say that I sleep llike a baby. Just like the commericial says there are no pressure points when you sleep on a Tempurpedic. There is only one thing I have found a little uncomfortiable about the Tempurpedic and that is it seems to hold the heat. That is a monor thing though because I just turn on the fan.

We bought this bed after years of product comparison with look-a-likes and other mattress products. We even were asked to participate in a test with the Sleep Number mattress regional rep. in the bedding store, with the regular sales girl simultaneously showing us the Tempurpedic models. They each had us lie down on the different mattresses on display in the store and to tell them what we thought about each product.

I was very glad to have participated in that test, because I had wondered about the things said about the Sleep Number mattress v. the Tempurpedic mattresses. For both my husband and I, there was no doubt in our findings: the Tempurpedic mattresses are SO MUCH more comfortable! We then had to decide on which Tempurpedic mattress to purchase. We LOVED the "Grand" model but it is too pricey for our budget right now, so we went with this one that is a step down from the "Grand". We couldn't be more pleased; we're sleeping better than we have in many, many years!...

The Tempurpedic Rhapsody was a huge disappointment to me & my boyfriend! I liked laying on it in the store because it contoured to my body blah, blah... I thought that was the coolest thing, but let me be the first to say sleeping on it for 8 hours is a totally different story! I HATE it!! First of all it sleeps extremely hot! {Way hotter than a typical pillow top... I don't care what they say!} Second, I wake up every time I roll over... Considering I'm in a sunken in a hard hole it is very hard to get comfortable again. Third, the bed gets harder if you keep your home cool.. {Believe me you don't need it any "firmer!!" It's a rock already.} I could go on about why I don't like this bed, but I believe I have made my top points clear! It is going to cost me over $700 to exchange this bed for a decent one... Oh yea, make sure you read ALL the fine print about the return policy! They will screw you!

When my husband and I still only engaged, we were miserable at night. His bed was horrendous! We had to go furniture shopping for other items and we decided to take a look at the mattresses. We knew we planned to buy a new bed as soon as we were married! We spent a great deal of time at the furniture store that day testing out the displays of Tempurpedic beds. We had started looking at regular spring mattresses, but the sales person kept urging us to try the Tempurpedic. When we finally did, we were both amazed at how it cradeled each of us so well! My husband and I are both a little heavy, so I was concerned that we would roll toward each other to the middle! I did NOT want that! I was told that that would happen if we bought a memory foam mattress, but not if we bought a Tempurpedic. I wasn't sure what the difference was, so it was time for some research!

I have always loved the tempur pedic beds and finally decided to purchase one after having a failed back surgery and chronic pain syndrome. I tried all the beds at the store and the sales man told me this one was the best and they had a sign stating that this one was the one that Oprah endorses-I remember too because I saw the exact show she did on it and some other favorite things of hers. So, if Oprah has this bed I figured it must be a good bed, plus it was a good middle of the road bed..not the bottom of the line and not the top of the line that was totally out of my price range. I laid on it and it seemed pretty comfy but not as squishy as the deluxe or classic. I was told that when I get mine home to lay on it-even walk on it barefoot to help break it in and soften it up and in a month or so I should have a good idea of how it will feel.
