Hi, I have ad my Celebrity for about 4 months, and i absolutely love it! I suffered from lower back pain and neck pain for almost 8 years, which were sport related injuries. The first 2 nights in the bed were difficult because your body has to get aquainted with the material!.. it is very different than a traditional mattress!... after my body adjusted, my pains went away!.. The usual pinched nerve in my back (causing my left leg to go numb) quickly started to disappear!... I love this bed so much! i enjoy going to bed early! lol ... it is very solid, very limited shock movement.. I highly recomend this bed if you have been strugling for years!... spend the money!.. last bed you will ever buy! call me the MENS WAREHOUSE GUY, but...Your gonna love the sleep you get; I garantee it!!

Tempurpedic Celebrity Bed - be afraid - be very afraid...

Do NOT purchase this bed unless you are looking for a gift for your mortal enemy. We have slept on this monstrosity since 2004 and we have been waking up in constant pain for the last 3 years. Talking to Tempurpedic is like talking to the salesman that has the perfect screen door for your submarine... When we started to notice an issue (i.e., the pain), they required us to pick up the 500 pound mattress, put on the floor (flat) and look for a .75 inch sag and send them pictures and so on... In the wise words of Charlie Brown, " GOOD GRIEF!'.

They won't tell you that their 'wonderful' foam softens over time. They DON'T want you to know that. News flash - the bed will soften in a couple of years and you will be in serious pain. We are young and we hurt from this bed. The bed is also HOT and I mean hot. Sort of like being a jalepeno chalupa. The won't tell you the extra foam 'pillow' layer moves so that it will...

We purchased our King size TempurPedic Celebrity Mattress in 2004 and have regretted the purchase ever since, especially given the huge expense. Beginning with getting in the bed, for the average height woman, it is a climb. Once in the bed, I find it difficult to fall asleep because I am not the kind of person who can get into bed and fall asleep; it takes me several tries to find the perfect position and with this bed it is difficult to change positions since you sink into a huge divot, which requires great effort to escape each time. I also must say that getting out of bed in the morning is even more difficult because I haven't experienced a good night of sleep. As a person with chronic pain in my joints and muscles, I am very surprised that this bed has received commendation by the Arthritis Foundation.

Beyond the disappointing and actual fatiguing sleeping issues of this mattress, it also has many other disappointing and frustrating issues. Let's start that finding sheets to fit this...

This bed is the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. I never had back or cramping problems until I bought this. I am stiff and have muscle aches all day and wake up several times during the night with cramps in hips and legs. It's terrible for runners (which I am) who need better support and cushion. I like a firm bed, but this one is rock hard. It's also hot and practically impossible to stay cool even when the room temp is 65 degrees. I only weigh 115 pounds. Maybe it's better for heavier people?? Save your money.

My husband and I purchased our Tempurpedic Celebrity bed after MUCH looking at and laying on bed after bed and reading review after review. We LOVE it! Initially I was a little upset because when we unwrapped the mattress and laid on it, it was HARD as a ROCK! It began to soften up some each day and now, a year later....we STILL love it. I bought this bed instead of a regular coil spring mattress after 'testing' it at the mattress store. Laying on the bed for 2 minutes and sleeping on it for 540 are two totally different things.

This bed was a pain in the neck, back, shoulders.. you name it.
Lord help you if you are sick and have to lay on it any longer, because you'll be in so much pain, you'll wish you were under the ~300 pound monstrosity instead of on top of it.
Not to mention that you have to buy special sheets for the daggone thing (at $300 a pop) b/c they're specially fitted for the mattress.

After 8 painful months of subjecting myself to sheer agony (except for the blissful nights I was on travel for work), I moved the thing to the basement where it will remain until I can find a poor schmuck who will buy it from me at a 98% discount.

Sharpen up your bed of nails, and get ready for a bedbuddy, Criss Angel. I'm coming for a nice restful sleep.

The mattress is great but it seems they have a really poor return policy.

Our mattress began to get soft on one side and did not return to its shape. I called them and you would not belive what we had to go through. We had to take pictures, then email them to the company. Yes they did exchange it but it took 4 weeks.

Not everyone in this country has a computer, and ways to take pictures. I feel bad for an older person that really has a problem and no computer. How would they get the mattress exchanged ? The fact that it took 4 weeks is really something.

The Celebrity bed is the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. It took some time to get broke in but the wait was worth it. I have trouble sleeping anywhere else! Others have indicated they thought the Tempurpedic's were hot but I haven't found that to be the case and I'm hot natured. On the Celebrity model make sure to get a waterproof pad that's designed for the Tempurpedics as the mattress cover that comes with the mattress is not removable. Tempurpedic sells them or you can purchase them from a company called Gotcha Covered. Also, helps keep the sheets in place, since the Celebrity mattress cover has Cashmere and is slippery....

We bought this model of the TempurPedic in 2004. We love it! In 2006 the zipper on the cover they put on the TempurPedic Celebrity Mattress broke. I had emailed to ask how we could have it fixed and they replaced the whole bed -FREE!! Apparently it was a defect in the older models as well as the cover/topper sliding to one side,so they revamped it, and replaced ours free of charfe. That's awesome customer service!! The only thing I really don't care for is that the cover on the cover/topper does not come off so it can't be washed. It has a zipper, and I am still trying to figure out WHY since you can't remove it. Anyhow we have several spots on the cover/topper. I have emailed customer service to see how we can clean it since it is not removable but have not heard back. Another draw back is it is extremely hard to find sheets to fit the bed without spending a small fortune on them. Other than the flaw of not being able to remove/wash the cover and sheets being costly,......

I bought the celebrity from a major retailer after multiple trips testing out the feel and reading the positive reviews. I believe the bad reviews don't get posted nearly enough so here's fair warning. I came off a top of the line Sterns/Foster for the Tempurpedic. Somehow I thought spending $4500 would buy me a better nights sleep. WRONG. From day 1, I began having all the things that the foam bed claims to help: pinch points, horrible sleep, waking up with my shoulders and arms numb, neck pain, headaches. At 10 months it was unbearable and I sold the bed for $1800 to get rid of the damn thing. I spent another $3700 to get back to normal on another Sterns. This is a horrible bed with a GREAT marketing team. RUN, don't walk away from this concrete block packaged in "memory foam". Did I mention it's hot and retains body heat? And in the winter it's hard as steel? When they say you either love this bed or you hate it, I should have known that was code for "Dude, you just blew......

This is the way to go....Tempurpedic mattress, adjustable bed. Can't beat it.

At first, I found the mattress just a tad firm. However, after a week or so of adjusting to it, I loved it. Have had it four years now and plan to keep it forever.
