I have determined, after a less than satisfactory customer service experience, that Target does not honor advertised prices and is unwilling to substitute, raincheck or in any other reasonable way offer customer satisfaction. LaToya who works at the Target in Prattville, AL, where I shopped, referred me to corporate and was supposed to give me the corporate #, but hung up instead. After calling the store again, I got the # and called corporate. Derek was the first person I talked to. He hung up when he discovered that he was unable to do all the talking. Eventually, after talking to Elizabeth and Angela, who are both supposed to be supervisors/managers, neither of which offered any reasonable resolution; I decided the best course of action is to reveal to the buying publicTarget's lack of concern for the customer. It would be much to their benefit to treat customers fairly. Without customers...?

I have been shopping at Target stores for quite some time. They have a wide variety of name brand products and the quality of their clothing is very good. They always have good sales and they stand behind their products.

Target is a great store to go to for everyday things with reasonable prices. They also carry a mini food section which is nice for quick food shopping. Target carries quality items and have yet to have trouble with anything bought. Store associates are mostly always friendly and willing to help- you get the occasionally few lazy people. However, their are not many around- which makes things a lot more harder when needed help or assistance. I'm almost suprised that their aren't more workers... maybe Target relies on undercover secret shoppers to catch shop lifters.

Target has great seasonal things and quickly goes on sale after a few weeks/season. It's always nice to buy ahead and Target is usually my first stop.

Target online is very easy to navigate and I love being able to read reviews because that makes my purchasing decision- especially when buying something 'big'. Target also goes through Amazon which is nice, reliable source to have.

The only thing I wish was better, were the hours....

The Target in Horn Lake MS shortchanged me 10.00. The store personell did nothing about it. Emailed Corp. Nothing done. Will never shop Target again. No one cares about the consumer. Poor, poor customer care.

Target Stores are one of my favorite stores to shop. I enjoy the fact our Target has a Starbucks coffee shop While I am cruising the store, I am sipping on my latte. Target carries practially everything from bread, milk and eggs to clothes, baby furniture, and plants for my garden. I am a bargain hunter and like most people I do appreciate a good sale. I have noticed at times when I have made purchases on a sale item with a additionally 90% advertising's red sign. (usually for seasonal items, Christmas, Summer etc) The resistor does not aromatically give the addentional 90% sale item. So I have to let the cashiers know, I usually ask in advance if the item is on sale. Once I made a purchase with a "addentional %" sign and was told by the catchier the item was not on sale. The manager then was called and the manager had to double check. Then I got the sale price too me this is a hassle but hay to get an item half off better yet for 90% off this is worth the hassle. ...

Their stores are some of the cleanest retail I have been in and their customer service is some of the best in the business.They always open up extra register when thier lines get backed up, so you do not have to wait.Their prices are just as good as walmart if not better on some things.Their staff is always friendly and helpful when you need something. Target has some of the best tv ads I have seen and I always enjoy watching them.I just wish their where more targets and that one was in my home town, then I would never have to shop walmart again.

Target is possibly my favourite all-around store. I am there so often, I couldn't even give you a weekly average. I get all my baby supplies there, some food, clothing, makeup, basics like toilet paper...

I love to just go there and look. Their marketing is unreal; from the red and white pop of their decor to their price tags.

I will always be a Target lover - you couldn't change my mind about it if you tried.

If I'm there for pleasure shopping, I usually hit the racks in this order:

Dollar/Value Bins: I even found a totally cute "jacket" for my chihuahua once! For $2.50, it fits pretty well! And it's PINK!
I glance past the accessory/handbag section; I'm more of a high-end bag girl (always bought marked down, of course) so this doesn't apply to me much, but occasionally something will catch my eye
Straight to the plus-size section to check out their clearance racks. I have bought shirts for $3.24! If you launder Target garments fairly gently, they will hold up for at least a year,...

I live in the Washington, DC area and shop at Target frequently. My brother lives in Japan and flies in once a year for several weeks. While here, he and his family will spend several hundred dollars at Target.

We went to Target today where my brother and sister in law found several items to buy. He asked if they took travelers' checks. When told yes, he took out a $500 travelers' check, signed and dated it, and then was told, "Oh, we don't take travelers' checks over $100." The bottom line was that they would not take his travelers' check, even though he had, in good faith, already signed and dated it. They will not take a perfectly valid form of payment.

Furthermore, no one in the store could help and they didn't have anyone they could call because this was an ironclad rule from corporate headquarters. Plus, we scoured their policies posted on the wall and it was nowhere to be found. The employee at the store did give us the customer relations number to call when...

"Recently we asked the local TARGET store to be a proud
sponsor of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall during our
spring recognition event.

We received the following reply
from the local TARGET management: " Veterans do not meet our
area of giving. We only donate to the arts, social action
groups, gay & lesbian causes, and education."

So I'm thinking, if the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall and
veterans in general, do not meet their donation criteria,
then something is really wrong at this TARGET store. We were
not asking for thousands of dollars, not even hundreds, just
a small sponsorship for a memorial remembrance.

As a follow-up, I E-mailed the TARGET U.S. Corporate
Headquarters and their response was the same. That's their
national policy.

Then I looked into the company further. They will not allow
the Marines to collect for 'Toys for Tots' at any of their
stores. And during the recent Iraq deployment, they would

I was shopping for baby shower gifts for my niece at Target. I purchased about 300.00 worth of items and then gave the reciept to my sister for safe keeping. About 2 weeks after her shower she took the reciept and several items to either return or exchange and was given a hard time. They spoke to the manager and were informed that they were only able to exchange 2 items for the year and this info would be stored in a database.

My sister called me from the store and I told her to ask the manager if she needed my credit card in order to return/exchange the rest of the items. The manager responded no, that the policy was 2 items only with reciept or not. The manager was neither friendly or helpful (Stafford Market Place Target, Stafford, Va). Ultimately, they were stuck with items that they did not need.

Our entire family and everyone else we can tell will not be shopping at target. There are so many other choices in the area. Bad customer service.

I am constantly going to Target and know which ones around town have the best clearance. I am a huge clearance shopper and have found some fantastic deals there. It's quite and addicting habit to have and I am surprised they don't know my name yet! The quality is great and the place is very clean!! Also, the dollar section is filled with great deals for every day living! It's really great when they go 75% off!...

I purchase for my home, business, and ministry here. Everyone is friendly & they have a high quality store brand. I love the clearance- they mark it down till it's gone!

However if you need to return something- Do it quickly and Good Luck!
