The Sidekick LX definitely feels solid in hand though; plus, it features a soft-touch finish to give it a nonslippery texture instead of slick, plasticky feel. Sharp also added small grooves on the back of the device where you can rest your index fingers when holding it. Doesn't seem like much of an addition, but it's a nice little touch that makes for a better ergonomic experience.

The smartphone is available in two colors: carbon or orchid. However, if you're not a fan of the colors, you will be able to create custom shells for the Sidekick LX, much like the and T-Mobile's even added the option of laser etching the case. Custom shells will be available starting this summer.

In addition to being the thinnest Sidekick, the Sidekick LX 2009 also boasts the largest and sharpest screen to date. Based on Sharp's Aquos technology, the WVGA display measures 3.2 inches with an 854x480-pixel resolution. We were extremely pleased with the sharpness and brightness of the display. i never thought how helpful a phone can be until i got a sidekick lx. The phone is pretty affordable unlike other phone. I personally love the myfav flex plan..whit this plan u can unlimited text, includes picture messaging and web browsing..for only 59.99 it's so easy to use! This is truely a teting phone.. the keypad is fully equipped like a computer keypad. you will have instant access to your emails, the internet, amd other cool features like AIM. Now with your emails u can have multiple accounts open. i was so thrilled because i always had more than to emails account..with this phone it made it a lot easier to get to my emails. the lx can also help you stay organized..you are able to right a note to yourself, organize your events with date and time, and make a todo list..the screen is big enought so u wont have to struggle reading things. its amazing how a phone can be so exciting to use but also helpful!

I have the sidekick lx and so far i think it's working out for him. i like that i can go on aim, yahoo messeger, msn messenger free of charge. i hate that most of the time my calls are drop because i am out of signal area.

Welllllllll......it's just ok. I thought about getting a blackberry and that's what I wish I had gotten. I was lured in by the Sidekick plan that was much more affordable for all the features it included. What i discovered is that the Sidekick isn't so great. As a phone, it's hard to hear people on the other end, so I only use it if I have to for phone calling. The mute button is also in a place where I always push it when I'm on the phone and then it's hard to get back on track.

I like the big screen a lot, but was disappointed to find out that i can't customize the background with my own photos. I do like that I can change the "screen saver." And, because it has a big screen, it requires a larger battery, whcih equals a very heavy device. Not a pocket-friendly phone, for sure. It ends up in the bottom of my purse because it's so heavy! Then, when the battery needs charging, which is often, it takes a LONG time.

I do a lot of texting and the keyboard seemed like the right solution for...

I love it!! You can numerous email accounts, on this phone. The text messaging with full keyboard, the music player. all of it is awseome. They only thing that i do not like about it is the pictures dont come out very nice. The Side Kick Lx is a great phone to have....

So I just recently got a new cellphone, a brown Sidekick LX to be exact, and it's not that great at all. I don't have the internet plan so annoying pop-ups keep coming out of nowhere and I can't even go on AIM! All phones are capable of doing that except a Sidekick! Also, sidekicks will not run without a memory card so every time you turn off your phone...ALL YOUR INFORMATION is lost. It also does not let you set a permanent ringtone, which sucks as well. Point: DO NOT BUY IT IF YOU DON'T HAVE A MEMORY CARD OR INTERNET PLAN TO GO WITH IT!...

I have the sidekick LX in blue. It is one of the nicest looking phones out there in the Tmobile world anyway....i just wish the carrier was a better one!! (i personally am switching services because i dont like tmobile all that much...) i'll definately miss my sidekick, but, will get something close to its features and look, etc.!

The features on the phone are awesome! It's a sleek phone....its not bulky or heavy and not so small that you lose it all the time! It has an awesome camera if you ask me...nicer than some digital cameras!

I would say the only "bad" thing about the phone is the internet...the dispaly pages are really off most times and just WAY TO SMALL to see on it...and its really slow (for me anyway)...but thats about it!

Overall, a great phone to have! :)

Only had my sidekick lx for a short amount of time, but I absolutely love it!! Decent speed on internet and just so very convenient!...
