The sidekick 2 is great if you love to txt, but the camera is bad, besides whatever is in the catalog on the phone, you cant download anything else to it. And its way to big and bulky. So I'd say its an okay phone, but if you dont have to, then dont waste your money on it....

The Sidekick it is the first phone that I've purched from T-Mobile, and I couln't be happier. It is easy tho stay in contact with friends and family through texting when I'm not able to call them. My favorite feature is the My Faves. I put my closest friends and family on the myFaves list, and calls to these five people are free....all the time! I have a daughter that moved across the country, having her on my faves has saved me tons of money.
The size of the screen was something I was looking at when purchesing a phone. My last phone, I could hardly see the text. The sidekick has an awsome screen size, and I just love the keyboard.
When the phone is set on silent, I always know there is a message waiting or my phone is ringing by the lit up track-ball. I never have to turn my phone on to see if there's a message waiting, I can tell just by the color of the track ball. This is such a great feature
AIM is built right in, and although I don't use it at home, I'm on it constantly on my phone.......

I love my phone! I text constantly and this phone is perfect for that! The keys are kinda big so therefore you dont hits 3 buttons when you mean to press one, like all my other phones have done. Its like typing on my computer. I wouldn't recommend very many phones, but this one is amazing....

The TMobile Sidekick 2 is good, although the screen is cheesy and it is reasonable hard to learn the ropes-great for texters......

The sidekick 2 is a sleaker upgrade from the sidekick 1 with built in features that were early sidekick add ons like flash. Though the internet works well the lack of java support doesn't keep up with current interneting needs. If you are a heavy txter the keyboard is great until the pad becomes raised and warped.

Still the simplisity of the menu setup makes this phone easy to navigate even when you aren't looking directly at the phone.

I owned the sidekick 2 for four years. When I first bought it it was light-years ahead of other text-based phones. It's my own fault that I didn't upgrade until now but after upgrading I noticed they haven't improved the speed or quality of the phones internet browser at all. I had three of them, because I treated them like a work phone and they are decidedly a purse phone. T-mobile was nice enough to replace it three times. I beat the phone until it could no longer function. The most annoying thing is that with every replacement i experienced the same problem. The phone thinks the photo album is full when it is empty and prevents you from being able to take more pictures. I got so used to not having a working phone camera that I actually upgraded to the ID because that is all it was lacking in comparison. I have to admit I was satisfied when I brutally fired up the old phone with a nail gun after months of problems getting the locked in internal battery to charge.

I used a friends for about a day, and its so complicated. I like the key board and screen, but its big and hard to fit in my tight jeans and really hard to hide in class. I like the light and every thing but i always get lost when I'm trying to get from like text to make a call. Plus it has no camera, and that sucks. I'm a teenager, obviously, and have had and tried many cells before and I love this one, but its to confusing. I like the scroll ball though... : ) ...

this is the best cell phone i have had. it of course makes and receives calls and has a good speakerphone, it also has a full qwerty keyboard, and a large clear screen. it has AIM and yahoo chat instant messaging programs, and text messaging. it comes with t-mail email and also a very good internet browser. not 100% like using the internet at home on a computer, but very good for a mobile unit. also has a lot of good add on programs.....games, and lots of word processing, accounting, and productivity programs.

got a designer model - cool looking always connected to my peeps, must have IM, great quality, choice of ring tones pictures, just wish was small. Love the ease of use, keyboard is great, picture quality great, IM feature a neccesity. couldn't go without, just doesn't fit in pocket!!...

i love the sidekick 2 , it has a assitts light camera . and the keyboard is bid enough for me to type except that there is no touch screen . nice speaker phone and chat message , and web broweser . wide screeen . every thing is beautifll . and i'm looking forward to get a sidekick 3 hhehehe . bye you all....
