Sydney White was a very cute movie! My daughter and I enjoyed it. We both watch it again and again when it is on HBO, Showtime, The Movie Channel or Starz. Very nice modern day version of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Nice way of showing that you don't have to follow the leader so to say. I was not sure how great it was going to be when we first heard about it but they did do a very nice job of it. Amanda Bynes was very good and not annoying at all in this film. Good hearted and very sweet. ...

Sydney White was sucha lovely movie it brought me back to the reason why I loved Snow white so much ! I twas not because it was the classi fairy tell. i t was not becasue good overcame evil at the end. i twas because it made me want to go after my prince Charming, My dream, My fairy tell! it made me see thatI deserve to be "the fairest of them all" and No evil can deter me from going for my dreams and loving everybody including the one that wants me to fail and be destroyed in the first place....

Amanda Bynes stars in "Sydney White" a cute movie about romance, beating the norm, and fitting in, even if in her own way.

Plot:Sydney White (Bynes) is not your typical sorority girl. A girl raised by her dad and a bunch of construction workers, she would rather be routing the plumbing in a new house than learning "how to curl your hair 101". Now Sydney is hoping to get into the same sorority her mom went to, Kappa Phi Nu. Sydney finds out she doesn't want to fit in with her new sisters and gets booted when the sorority president finds out Sydney likes her old boyfriend. Sydney ends up living with a group of misfits whom she feels totally at home with and the only non Greek house on Greek Row. Sydney runs for student council president to beat the Greek system and live dorkily ever after.

What I thought: Amanda Bynes is hilarious in any role she plays. Quirky as only Amanda Bynes can be. It's a great spin off of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. The actors are great and the...

I watched this movie with my younger sister and my grandmother on pay per view the other night. it was a very nice story, and I really enjoyed it. it's good to stand up for yourself, even if everyone thinks you're a dork, or not as good as them. a lot of people think they're better than other people, and they'll learn that an attitude like that doesn't fly in the real world.
overall, this was a very good movie. the actors were good, and the story line was amazing....

Very cute movie. It is similar to the 1980's movie "Revenge of the Nerds", but it's not as raunchy. Some parts may not be appropriate for younger kids, but Amanda Bynes does an excellent job, as usual, for the teen scene....

The makers of Sydney White have taken on the time-honored task – previously tackled by everyone from the Muppets to the Three Stooges – of generating comedy through a modern-day adaption of a fairy tale or fable. Here, they attempt to turn "Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs" into a college comedy vehicle for TV sitcom star Amanda Bynes. It ought to be a no-brainer assignment, assured of easy success with Bynes' tween fanbase. Unfortunately, the plan apparently got sidetracked along the way. I imagine a Universal executive saying, "I love the idea. But wasn't Revenge of the Nerds a big hit? Make it more like that."

The script tries to make its way along a narrow line, incorporating passing references to typically raunchy college comedy material without violating its PG-13 rating. This leads to some awkward and uncomfortable situations, and not the funny kind you want in a comedy. In the opening sequence, we meet title heroine Sydney (Bynes) as she is getting ready to leave home for university...
