mamontenegro says "Fresh and easy cleaning!" about Swiffer WetJet®

The Swiffer Wet Jet is a blessing for homes with hardwood floors. As a pet owner who loves her hardwood floors but hates to clean them, I would recommend the Swiffer Wet Jet to anyone looking to save time on cleaning. Before I began using it, I had been struggling with brooms, dustpans, mops and buckets of dirty water, but this product can replace all of those items. The tool comes with a bottle of cleanser which smells fresh and clean but isn't too strong. You simply attach the bottle to the Swiffer Wet Jet and push a button to spray the cleaner directly onto the floor. This way, you don't have to worry about lugging around a bucket of what eventually becomes dirty water. With mops you end up having to clean up your cleaning product by wringing the dirty mop out, but with the Swiffer Wet Jet, you simply remove and dispose the dirty cleaning pad. Not only is the product easy to use with a fresh scent, but it also does the job well. After just a few minutes, the marks left by my dog are...
...

queengwennypoo says "Swiffer is good, but the wet jet is a little over board." about Swiffer WetJet®

Although I love using the original swiffer on hard floors, the wet jet is just uneconomical and... bulky. Why buy all the things you need for the wet jet (batteries for a mop?????) when you can just get an old fashioned mop and bucket and do a better cleaning job with the fresh scent of pinesol? I guess if you work in a restaraunt or something the wet jet would be good for quick cleanup of spills, but in the home it is just... superfluous. Stick with the basic swiffer sweeper (excellent for pet hair and more economical than using a broom or vacuum cleaner on hard floors) and a mop for hard floors. The whole wet jet shebang is a waste of money and it will clutter up your laundry room, not to mention you have to lug the big thing around while you are "mopping". I think it actually makes more work and hassle having the swiffer wet jet than... not having it. Stay away from the swiffer wetjet!!!
...

The Swiffer is an absolute necessary tool when trying to run the house hold alone, while working a full time job, when my husband's military duty calls.

Swiffer® WetJet®

What it is: It a totaly fabulous cleaning floor cleaner!

WhyI love it:

Because I have three different types of floor in my home. Hardwood, Ceramic Tile, and a small amount of Laminate floor. I can use the Swiffer Wet Jet on all of them!

Two Cats and One Dog (all three shed a ton) A plain broom just doesn't cut it. Makes the fur just fly around. The Swiffer Wet Jet traps it in!

No need for a nasty dust pan

Quick! I'm a busy mommy of a two year old, and have another full time job outside of the home. The faster I can get my cleaning done the better!

Easy set up! Again, I am busy, don't have time to put things together, it just snaps together, and it is ready to go!

Cost, I'm cheap! Under $20.00 and I had a $5.00 off coupon! Yay!

Has a niftly little scubber on the side for the tough messes, you just take your foot or use the floor to flip the mop part on it's side and scrub! Easy and it works!

The multi-surface is an antibacterial solution that kills 99.9%...

...

momtaylor37 says "Swiffer Wet Jet: Easy to use, but that's about it." about Swiffer WetJet®

The Swiffer Wet Jet was great, or so I thought when my son couldn't walk! When he started walking, I would notice how dirty his socks would get. To think, I wasn't really cleaning the floor as well as I though, when he was crawling on it.

The Swiffer seems to push more dirt around and smear it everywhere rather than pick it up into the 'absorbent pad'. If mine wasn't so old, I'd be taking the company up on their money back guarantee. The scrubber pad doesn't scrub at all. You might as well scrub on your hands and knees! Even if you I use a small squirt of solution, the pad smears and causes streaks after it has dried. It also leaves a sticky residue. It works ok on tile though.

You can buy the refills in bulk at warehouse stores, but if you can't, then it gets pretty expensive as you run out of pads and solution pretty fast.

Nothing beats a traditional mop and bucket!...

Sometimes, we don't get to clean all the clutter in our house the way we'd like! And for those little messes we have day to day the Swiffer WetJet comes in handy! Granted this isn't the get down and give it the ol' elbow grease! But I'll take all the help I can get! Between the two of us we work 100 hours a week and we have two 7 year olds. Clutter and messes are part of everyday chaos!

Thank you Swiffer for helping keep some of that extra shine in our busy schedules!
...

I bought the Swiffer Wet Jet about two years ago when we were heading to vacation in a friend's time share. We had to clean the place before we left so that it was ready for the next guests. I bought the Wet jet so that I wouldn't have to spend hours cleaning the floors on my last day of vacation. Honestly, I thought that it would do a decent job, but nothing like my mop and bucket. To my very pleasant surprise the floor was SO clean that I wanted to try it at home. Now, it is the only thing I will use. I will neverm ever go back to a bucket and mop.

The only drawback is that it's a little tough getting under things like the dishwasher and refrigerator. But, I had the same problem with the mop, so it isn't any better or worse than what I had before.
...

CCOH says "Are They Selling Batteries Yet? WAY Overrated" about Swiffer WetJet®

The Swiffer WetJet is a huge disappointment. I was shocked to find that it needs batteries (four AAs) merely to dispense the liquid, which is done in other mop products by simply pressing the button. Not only that, but this fancy-dancy electronic sprayer system uses up the liquid cleaner about four times as fast! I did my normal floor mopping (one large kitchen, two small bathrooms) and the bottle is entirely gone! With the comparable Clorox ReadyMop, a bottle lasts me at least four or five cleaning cycles.

When I put the WetJet together, the handle pieces did not snap in correctly but continued to telescope in and out a bit. This does not seem right to me.

The only plusses: the pads attach a little easier with the Swiffer, and the scratcher tool on the side helps a little. I see tons of TV advertising for this Swiffer but it is all hype. It is not any improvement over what's already out there.

- CC Ohio
...

I don't know many people who like house cleaning. I certainly don't. But, since I'm home a good deal of the time, I do what I can. Our housekeeper you ask? Well she went the way of our 401ks and IRA's recently which is to say "some things just gotta change!"

Now, from the title of my review, you might think that I don't especially like this product. Well, you'd be wrong...but then you'd be right too. I have mixed views on this product.

When it's Good

It is oh, so good. It really does a great job on shiny white ceramic tile besmirched with paw prints. No arguments here. It's terrific for those rushed moments after I've cooked a dinner for guests who are about to show up at our door at any moment. I can give the floors a quick once-over and make the room smell pretty good all at the same time.

But When it's Bad

There's an awful lot of supplies to keep on hand. You really need some organizational skill here. You're going to need 4AA batteries, Wet Jet Cleaning Pads and...
...

Some of my friends don't like the Swiffer wet jet compared to old fashioned mop and bucket, but I like the ease of use and the great smell of the solution. No the down side is the pads only seem to last in one room and the solution doesn't last that long either. The use of the batteries also is a drag but it makes it handy. I would suggest buying this from a warehouse club to get the most for you money....

I thought-oh joy!

After going to Walmart and getting the liquid and pads, I figured I would try it.

This mop has a sprayer that is run with a battery I believe. First I swept the floors and then I tried my new gift.

It was so easy and much better then toting a bucket around with pine sol. I ended up cleaning tile, marble and wood floors. It worked great and was so easy.

The only thing I miss-is the smell of pine sol when you walk in the house. The floors dry really fast and it's easy to get into smaller spaces with the mop. :)
...
