We love having this item in our home! It's perfect for everyday use. I've had mine for about two years now, and I've never had to replace the battery. On one charge, it will last us about three days, and sometimes longer, but our house isn't very big. We have a nine month old, and so there's constantly Cheerios in the floor. This picks them all up without any trouble. It's so much easier than using a broom and dust pan. It charges well, and moves well along the floor. It uses a duster cloth, which gets up all the dust that collects on the floor. Our baby is crawling all over now, and it's pretty rare that his clothes look dirty from the floor. I'm a kind of lazy cleaner, and this makes the job so easy to do. It's pretty much like vacuuming, but just with a super light vacuum. If we had it to do over again, I would have gotten this years before I did. I plan on getting it for my sister as a housewarming gift. But it!!! I know you'll love it!!!
...

jessicaasarg says "The Swiffer Sweep + Vac is the best so far." about Swiffer Sweep + Vac®

The Swiffer sweep + vac has worked great for my tile and hard wood floors. It picks up most of the small pieces of food from my children, and all of the dust bunnies and dg hair, which has been my biggest issue. It doesn't pick up popcorn kernals which is a bummer because we eat popcorn every weekend. It gets under my coffee table and chairs and is easy to maneuver. My two year old can even sweep the living room floor which is a huge plus. I think it is over priced especially since you have to replace the filter and the swiffer clothes! I am glad there are an off brand for the cloths they work jut as good and are half the price. I dropped the handle one time while cleaning and now it won't stay on unless I hold the button down. Now my hand cramps up because of holding down the button so I don't get as much cleaning done. I have not purchased a new filter yet, but I need to, waiting for a sale or coupons!
...

The swiffer sweep and vac really gets the job done. I love that I can plug it in and not have to worry about replacing batteries! I wish my other swiffer could do that! It is so much easier and quicker to run the sweep and vaccume over the flors than to sweep and use the dust pan. My children love to help me out now that I have this fun cleaning machine! The only problem I have is that the trap fills up too quick. But that is an easy fix, remember to empty it each time! The replacement pads are affordable and I tend to see a lot of coupons for them as well.
...

pitcherday says "Swiffer sweep & vac - Weak battery and not for pet owners" about Swiffer Sweep + Vac®

The Swiffer Sweep & Vac is probably not worth the money for most. The handle and pole are light, flimsy aluminum tubing. The dust cup is tiny and has one of those fabric inserts that you have to pull the hair off of. It's not very powerful, and the battery does not hold a charge.

I had a house that was entirely tile. I had only planned to use it for touch-ups. That's the best use of this product. If you tried your whole house, you'd end up emptying the dust cup a million times and re-charging it. Also, the dust cup, is exclusively for dust and light particles. If you have pets that shed, the dust cup fills up almost immediately.

It is very maneuverable and gets behind places and under things well. It is quiet. But it does not live up to its expectations.
...

The Swiffer Vac is just plain great! I have been using it for a year now. We have all hard floors throughout our home. Some are hard wood, some linoleum and some are laminate. This small rechargeable vac works very well on all my floor types. I have had no problems with it. I use various refills for the soft cloth pad on the bottom, they all work. It charges rather quickly and I can do my whole house on one charge if it is a light vacuuming. We have a dog and a cat and the Swiffer picks up all of their fur very well. We figure that we got our money's worth out of this product in a very short amount of time. We love it!
...

listenup says "Great for simple vacuuming!" about Swiffer Sweep + Vac®

I heard a lot of good and bad about the Swiffe Sweeper + Vac. I had the opportunity to use one at a friend's house while I was petsitting. It was great! On the last day, the day they were coming home, I wanted the place to be tidy so I grabbed their Swiffer Vac. It is so lightweight and easy to use. It picked up all the pet hair, bird seed, dirt and stray leaves that were on the floor.

They store it in the corner of the laundry room-- it does nto take up a lot of space. The battery is rechargeable so no cords to get in the way.

It accomodates the Swiffer cloths which makes the cleaning even better. Small dust and dirt gets picked up by the cloths and bigger particles are vacuumed up. I had a regular Swiffer (without the vac) and found that a lot of debris was left behind. But with the vac, everything was picked up. And no need for bags; the dirt container comes right out for easy emptying.

This is not a vacuum for major house cleaning, but is perfect for quick spills...
...

I am on my second swiffer sweeper and vac. The first one would not hold a charge but I had it for a very long time. I rated this product a four star and not five star because of the short charge time. I can barely do the living/dining room and kitchen before it really starts to slow down. However I am aware that I can purchase more heavy duty vacuums that plug in...they don't come with the swiffer pads! That is what makes this vacuum more appealing to me, those pads pick up so much dust, hair and pet hair that would get blown around by a regular vacuum. The vacuum suction is not the strongest but this is a cheap solution that is perfect for in between pick ups. I love it and will replace number 2 when it eventually dies on me. Works great on my wood floors.
...

I love this item. I was afraid at first to buy it seeing some of the comments about the time is is able to run. We have a small appartment, 2 bedrooms, bath, kitchen and living room---all hardwood floors. We also have two long hair cats and this item takes care the floors and I still have time left. It is a wondrful time saver and cleans wonderful. I would recommend this to anyone....

marilyn143 says "The Expenses Just Keep Adding With This Product...Beware!" about Swiffer Sweep + Vac®

My husband bought this for me when I was pregnant because I used to complain about having to bend down to sweep dirt into a dust pan. I told him I wanted the Swivel Sweeper (which costs almost the same price as the swiffer), and he misunderstood me and thought I meant the Swiffer Sweep Vac.This product is okay for people with disabilities or pregnant women. I say it's just okay because it doesn't pick up everything like I thought it would. And what makes it suck is that you have to charge it for over 8 hours, just so that the vac could only last 10 minutes! My whole house is ceramic tile. I have to rush like crazy to get all of it cleaned before the vac runs out of battery (they don't mention this on the box). So that's one expense that adds up. Charging something for eight hours just for a one time use. Then something else that gets expensive is that you have to keep buying the disposable pads. The pads cost around $6 for just 12. That means if you sweep your floor every day, you end up...
...

I read a review of this sweeper in the "Family Handyman" magazine and decided to give it a shot. The Swiffer Sweep + Vac definitely fills that missing spot between the vacuum for the carpet and the broom for the vinyl floor. Our area is very dusty and when sweeping I'd have to chase that last pile of dust around the floor with the dustpan. No more. Swiffer solved that problem completely. Add to that the fact that it is rechargeable so there's no cord to hassle with and you have a real winner....

I bought this when i moved into my new home- it has tile, Linoleum and Hardwood floors throughout. I thought this would be the best thing ever!! But I was dissappointed...I could only do half my house at a time before the battery would die- and I have a SMALL house. (less than 1000 sq ft!!! ) So I would do half the house, or rush through trying to finish before the battery died, either way I'd have to finish with either a vac or a broom (defeating the purpose of having this!!) So I went back to using the original dry cloth swiffer and sweeping up the bigger stuff it leaves behind. ...

This product is a life saver, especially for those of us who move around a lot or tend to live in rentals/housing provided by the employer. These type of domiciles tend to come with tile or hard wood floors that get dusty, dirty, and show every speck of pet hair, etc. I love the ease of the swiffer vac. It just hangs on my wall waiting to be used, I just unplug and go. I have owned it for about two years now and it still does the whole house if I work quickly. (livingroom, bedroom, two baths, front hall, dining and kitchen). If my kid wants to help sometimes it needs a recharge between sides of the house as she tends to dawdle around the room, chasing down things she can see, rather then just doing the whole thing at once. But most times it is me, roaring around the room. I love that the pad picks up on things I dont see while I do the things I can see. Only problem is that lack of charge holding power. I do wish it would go atleast another ten minutes on a charge. Have to say though, for......
