I have been fortunate to have very few health issues in my lifetime, but among the few annoyances I have to deal with, sinus congestion and allergies rank at the top of my list. I try to deal with the problem by taking allergy tablets, using sinus sprays, etc., with varying degrees of success. Inhaling steam and other fragrances can also help, and one over the counter product that claims to relieve congestion using aromatic fumes is Shower Soothers, a product designed for use in the shower.

Aromatherapy Commentary:

Shower Soothers are round, flat tablets measuring about 1.5 inches in diameter and one- half inch in thickness. The tablets are individually wrapped, feature a blue/green color, and begin to dissolve quickly upon contact with water. Placing a tablet on the shower floor is all that is necessary to activate. Once the water touches the tablets, they release aromatic fragrances of eucalyptus, menthol, and camphor. These vapors fill the shower with their unique scent, supposedly...

Take your showertime to the next level with these round drops of joy!!! I've seen the commercials and I've seen them on the shelf in the store, but never thought about buying them because I figured it would just be another gimmick type of product. There's so much on the market today that is supports to help remedy allergies and congestion and aches associated with allergies that you just don't know what to select sometimes. Plus, this reminded me of another type of product that has been around for ages. I saw it on sale one day and purchased two boxes. Even after I had made this purchase I didn't go home immediately and test it out. It was a few weeks before I even bothered. I re-read the box and figured I could use an at home spa day type of treat. Thank goodness I did! This stuff is amazing. When the water hits the tablet a beautiful nose opening reaction occurs and it's exciting! So here's my tip on how to use it. Wait til your shower is dry when first opening the tablet. Do NOT touch...

I suffer from allergies during the spring, I get congested and want nothing more than to come home, sit on the coach and be able to breathe. I have tried nasal sprays, pills, and if they don't make me drowsy and loopy, then they just don't work. Upon trying the Sudacare Shower Soothers in conjunction with my prescribed medication I finally experienced long lasting relief. These little tablets are easy to use and enhance a warm shower to a spa like experience. I can't say enough about how soothing it is to breathe in the menthol combo while taking a long shower. I did try the soothers alone without my medication and without the ability to slightly breath in they are ineffective. I suggest this product to anyone that has non life threatening allergies that permits at least slight breathes through the nasal passage. Also, for those that do not enjoy the smell that comes with many rubs that contain similar ingredients.

I feel so much better once I use a SudaCare Shower Soothers. Being a mom and a teacher finding time to rest is just not in the cards for me when my alergiest get bad. Though once I take a shower with a SudaCare Shower Soother I can make it through the day.

Two people in my home tried this product but it didn't do anything for either one of us! I already felt bad and having to stand in the shower until the disk dissapeared took awhile. I wanted to be in bed instead with vicks on my chest like I did as a kid. This is a time I wished for a time machine and take me back to my youth!...

I like these because they clear you up in the morning.

Get's you prepared for a day at work. I often use these in the winter hours.

They come in different aromas. It's a really good product if you have a cold and just want to clear a little congestion....

Product worked great, the steam from the shower combined with the product cleared my nose and I could breathe again. I am really happy with this product, it seemed a little pricy, but the reliefe it gave me was well worth the price. the only room for improvement would be that it dosen't last very long....

I use SudaCare Shower Soothers when im sick and cant breathe out of my nose. I feel refreshed and a hundred times better. I have consitite allergy problems where i feel very bad runny nose, conjestion sniffy, and sneezey when i fell those symtomns when I shower I take a SudaCare Shower Soothers....

I used Shower Soothers when I was pregnant and limited to medication I could use to releive the sinus pressure. The scent was very strong and did quickly clear my sinuses. The only downside is that as soon as the shower is over the pressure returns....

i have tryed this item a few times to see if it would help me a few different times i was sick and when you use it you can smell it only if you have your nose right over is the shower it never work either time i used it.maybe it might work it you used it over the stove in a pot of water or something like that, but it does not work in the shower like they say....

These do not have long lasting effects but in a hot shower they will help clear your head and provide relief and comfort. I highly recommend this for congestion. Very soothing vapors help clear your sinuses and relieve head pressure. Helps you to get going on especially congested mornings or clear a stuffy nose any time!...

I Love this, it smells good and clears my sinuses! I just throw it in the shower while the water is heating and by the time I'm ready it's like getting into a treated spa. Even my kids love it! And my husband thinks it's great too. When we get colds we use it every day and it's great for allergies, my sinuses always feel better....

these worked for a about an hour that was it. for the price it wasnt worth it. they were easy to use, just open and throw on the shower floor . i was able to breath better in the shower but once i got out it started not working after that. i wouldnt buy them again. ...

I was not impressed with this product. I expected to see something happen when the water hit the bar. Instead I just watched the bar dissolve down the drain. I felt like my money was being washed down the drain for nothing. I had really high hopes that this product would offer some relief for my sinus infection. I definately would not recommend this product to a friend....

This product is great, but intense. I like it because the shower is comforting to me when I am ill and to have something like this, increases the benefit twofold.
It immediately loosens congestion so you are coughing up a storm, and it seems like your symptoms have increased. But once the tablet is finished and you come out of the shower, you feel so much better.
The only disappointment is the tablet doesn't steam if it is not directly under the shower, and then it doesn't last too long and dissipates quickly. All in all, I would recommend this product to anybody. The tablet does get hot when it is wet, like a superheated alka-seltzer, so you don't want to touch it while wet, but not really a problem....
