It was time to replace my much loved 8 year old Westin Heavenly Bed and I decided to give the Stearns and Foster Callaway Garden pillow top a try. What a mistake. While the test run in the store was great, the at home reality was an entirely different story. We got it home and slept on it a couple of nights before realizing that my husband and I kept rolling into a trough in the middle of the mattress throughout the night. Basically, wherever my husband was laying, I (the lighter of the two) would involuntarily roll into the trough created by his heavier weight. We are both small (120 and 165) so it wasn't a weight issue. We both were traveling over the next month and had an opportunity to test out a few high quality hotel mattresses as well as another owned by a friend we visited. We made it a point to determine what mattresses we were sleeping on during our travel. One Springmaid and another Simmons. All mattresses kept an even sleeping area so we knew there...

Stay away from S&F,

Check on the internet reviews about their mattresses.

You will be amazed of the responses, after spending a couple grand on a "top quality" mattress you expect nothing but a great mattress.

Not the case here, I had to be out of work for a month due to back problems and inability to walk.

So scary that we even thought I had a disc injury.

Do your homework first.

I bought my Sterns and Foster Pillowtop mattress last month and I am not impressed. It is beautiful and feels good to lay on for a few minutes, but when I am trying to sleep it is uncomfortable. A mattress that looks good really does not help me with my sleep. I sink into the middle and it does not support my back. When my boyfriend sleeps on it we continuously roll towards each other. I was also mislead by the 30 day comfort guarantee. The comfort guarantee says you can return it after 20 days and before 30 days for a more expensive one. I wanted a cheaper mattress in exchange and they would not let me do it. I am not sure if this is stearns and fosters policy or American TV Appliance (where I bought it). My advice is to ask if it is returnable and ask for specific details on any guarantees. Last night I had to get up and sleep on the couch. So, now I am stuck with this expensive mattress.

I loved this bed for almost two years I got it from Macy's - until I noticed it was getting a divot in the middle. I sleep all over my bed and weigh about 130lbs. So about another 6mo later my back started to hurt - umm so I put a couple of books under the matress. This helps fro another year. Then I had to add more books...well when I kept waking up with a terrible pain in my back i went and got a new sleep number and love it... but I will never consider buying a Stearns and Foster again - the only bang for my buck was in my back!

A Stearns and Foster Queen size pillow top, so far its been a couple of days and the darn thing is pinching my shoulders never had that problem on a matress that my parents had for 15 years.. i dont know they never build anything to last now and days....I have combed the internet and this is only site that had good things to say about the matress that I just bought. are you people paid by stearns and foster to say good things about it??? I will give it a few more days but this thing aint right...feels good in the store but that is what they want you to believe. to buy it and never get any support or rest ever again. and your OUT 1200 bucks.

As a queen-sized girl I need to have a mattress that supplies queen sized comfort and support. When we went shopping for a new mattress set - we tried many differnet brands across several retailers.My husband is a real sport and had no problem whatsoever rolling around in public on a variety of bedding styles and brands.

There are many different styles to consider - pillow top versus plain - pillow top on both sides or one, memory foam and adjustable settings for warmth, and firmness, etc.

Our previous bed was a water sleep system style bed - a glorified waterbed really - basically it is tubes of water incased in what looks like a normal mattress and boxsprings. This bed had given us terrific rest for some 10+ years - but we decided that we no longer wanted to sleep over water - I have advanced arthritis in my lower spine and hips and the waterbed sleeps a little on the cool side without a heater.

After wallowing all over town we decided to invest in a Stearns and Foster double pillow...

My husband had slept on several Stearns and Foster mattresses at hotels, and when we got married two and half years ago, we decided to purchase what we thought was "top of the line" mattress and foundation. Boy, did were we wrong! I have continually tried and asked about replacing this mattress to no avail. The Customer Service for Stearns and Foster is "awful." There is a place on the right side and on the left side where the coils are felt, and we have to put an "egg-roll crate" on the mattress so that we cannot feel it. I don't know about anyone else, but it is definitely not a love making mattress when it comes to "two people, especially if your husband is a little heavy." There are lumpy craters on my side and in the middle that will not smoothe itself out. To pay such an enormous price for this king size set, you would think that it would live up to its reputation, it does not. I have tried to get back in touch with the store since they sent someone out who...

Hi Everyone,

If youa re looking for a new mattress, please do not look far. This this one, or just any other Sterns and Foster.

I have never slept better in my life since I got this mattress, and when I go away I just can't wait to come back home to sleep on it.

At the end of the night, after a long day at work, this mattress is amazing. As I lay in my bed, I smerk, because the pleasure and relief of laying on this, feels like someone just took all your worries away, well at least for few hours while you sleep.

I have had this Sterns and Foster mattress for 10 years now and I still love it as much as the day we bought it! It is soft on top but gives firm support. It has worn well and is still, in my eyes, one of the greatest things we have purchased.

The Stearns and Foster Pillowtop firm mattress cost us over $2000.00 and is a saggy piece of crap with a hump in the center. Flipping does no good. I'd like to flip it over a cliff. What a huge disappointment. I toss and turn constantly and have lower back pain throughout the day and night.

This is an overpriced, lousy product. Never again.

I am now researching a replacement mattress and am leaning to a Memory Foam. I'll let everyone know how that goes...

This bed is THE WORST! I looked at Stearns and Foster as my research suggested it was a quality brand. We bought a King size pillow top - it was not their top of the line model but I believe it was next to top of the line S&F. We went to a local bedding store where they asked us some questions and recommended several different beds. The Stearns and Foster felt great when we laid on it at the store. HOWEVER, within just a couple of months the bed is a nightmare. It sags and is terribly uneven. My husband and I cannot lay next to each other - we try to climb out of our respective "holes" to snuggle but after a few minutes give up and roll back into our indentations.

It is absurd for the money we paid for this mattress to have this type of issue just a few months after purchase. Now a couple of years in we have really had it with the bed and are going to THROW IT AWAY and find something comfortable. We tried to live with it but enough is enough.

I purchased a Stearns and Foster pillow top mattress and I have to say that I am somewhat dissapointed. It is almost too soft! I have turned the mattress according to the manufacture suggestions and we still have two giant indentations where we sleep which has created a hemp in the middle of the mattress. I have to put weights in the middle of the bed to try and even out the wear of this mattress. This was a very expensive investment and feel that I have to work too much to make it right!
