After paying top dollar for what i thought was a quality mattress (Stearns and Foster) it began to sag after 2 years - but unless it sags 1 1/2 inches nothing can be done... i find that awful when U pay $1000 for a twin mattress.

I could REALLY feel the differences in a $800.00 mattress and a $1,600.00 mattress. The store we bought the set from, Raymour & Flannigan, gives you a 30 day trial period and if we are not totally thrilled with the mattress, we can return within 45 days and try another. The mattress/box comes with a ten year warranty so if there is ANY problem, like a spot that starts to sag, we get a NEW mattress. Since I spent $1,600.00 I expect to get my money's worth.

My husband and I bought a Sterns and Foster English Meadows pillow top mattress set in 2007. In 2008, we began to feel like we were sleeping in a fox hole as the area where our body would lay began to sink.

In 2009, we sent in a complaint since the mattress is guaranteed for 10 years. They denied our claim saying that due to a stain, they could not honor the warranty. The stain was very small and up near the head of the bed. They said it could have contributed to the "breakdown" of the mattress.Yet, they did agree the bed was defective in the areas where we laid.

We sent a second letter asking for a reconsideration and they never responded.

They are very poor with customer service and we will NEVER buy anything with the Stearns and Foster name again. We have told our friends and family and people in our company not to buy their products and will continue telling people.

We have a pillowtop and have had it for about two years and it sags WAY to much where my husband and I lay. We are not overweight people just average and we are very dissappointed in this mattress.

My husband and I decided to get a new mattress, and went Macy's to pick one out. We were told that the Stearns & Foster was a top of the line mattress. The mattress we picked out was a king size, firm, plush top.

Within a few months, the mattress was sagging, the stitching came undone, and the fabric started to run like a nylon. Upon calling the company we were told that this was "normal" wear and tear. I had my other mattress for 15 years, and it was still in MINT condition; so I KNOW this is not normal wear and tear. I called Macy's and they came to take a look and said it was normal. I am so upset and cannot do anything at all about it.

Now my husband'd back is begining to hurt and I am having neck problems. I am really upset,

Stearns & Foster is an overpriced, overrated product that is a rip off. I will advise ANYONE thinking about getting one, not to. What is even worse that I have bought from them before.

After a short while it seemed to sag in the middle and the techs came out more than once and measured to see how much but we had to keep it. Not too comfortable now...

My husband purchased a new mattress and boxspring when I was away on a trip for work. Not a nice surprise. It is too hard and I dont feel as though I get a good nights sleep. I toss and turn alot. Can't quite find a comfortable position. Shouls have returned it....

The Stearns and Foster Pillowtop firm mattress cost us over $2000.00 and is a saggy piece of crap with a hump in the center. Flipping does no good. I'd like to flip it over a cliff. What a huge disappointment. I toss and turn constantly and have lower back pain throughout the day and night.

This is an overpriced, lousy product. Never again.

I am now researching a replacement mattress and am leaning to a Memory Foam. I'll let everyone know how that goes...

We had Stearns & Foster mattresses before but this last purchase is the worst experience we ever had. We bought a King Size Baroque Plaza style Stearns and Foster from Sleepy's. The mattress has a pillow top. The interesting thing is if you lay on the bed, you will sink into a valley so deep (and do not think it is weight related, cause my wife only weighs 110 lbs.)that you can feel the inner springs. So you say that this must be defective, and the company must have a Warranty. Well they have a limited warranty which only covers you if the top of the mattress has a indentation of 1 1/2 inches. What they do not tell you is that the pillow top covers the problems under it . The pillow top springs back and at most will only sink 1/2 inch. So you are stuck with a mattress which you plunked down a few thousand dollars, and wake up with the worst backaches possible. Company does not stand behind it's name....

We are on our 2nd Sterns & Foster mattress. We went from a Queen bed to a King bed. I love my Sterns & Foster mattress! The best thing about it is that you can sit on the side of the & fall or slide off it. This is a design benefit that these types of mattresses have. Also, springs don't stick in my ribs & it's comfortable....

We got rid of (yes, "got rid of") our Tempurpedic mattress when we moved because it was beginning to sag in the middle -- after only 3 years of use!

Anyway, when we looked for another mattress, the people at Mattress Firm suggested a S&F. It has been great sleeping on this mattress. We got a king pillow top and it is perfect... firm where it needs to be, soft where you want it. My wife and I have gotten some GREAT sleep on the S&F. Highly recommend it to anyone.

They say all the presidents sleep on Stearns and Foster beds... I can see why....

(We were never told about the conditions of that warrenty, nor did we get anything in writing.)

This is the best mattress i have ever owned. It doesn't leave us with back pain from "pressure points". We dont find ourselves tossing and turning all night to find a comfortable position. My parents also own this type of mattress, and have had it for over 10 years. They say it is as comfortable today as the day they bought it. their recommendation was the reason we bought ours, and i am certainly glad i did. I will definitely buy another S & F down the road!...
