This movie was one of the best family movies I have seen in a long time. I have children ranging in ages from 6 months to seven years and they all enjoyed it immensely. My husband even liked it. I would definately recommend this moviie for family time or even for people without kids, Thats how good it is! It has a mix of comedy and action and fantasy that is truly great. If you haven't seen The Spiderwick Chronicles, rent it today!! You will love it,...

There are many good things, good plot, good character development, good graphics, good moral. I enjoyed the film and was pleasantly suprised. It was pretty intense for children though. This is a Nickelodeon Production and as such, I expected to see a children's film, so my review is from the point of view of a parent.

Spiderwick Chronicles did not feel so much like a children's film because of the realism and intensity. I don't remember profanity or any of the things that frequent so many films, but the situations these kids are facing are some that many will feel strongly about. The parents in the story have just split up and one of the children is blaming the Mom and expecting Dad to come back. This character is in the process of finding out that Dad moved in with another woman and that his parents are not going to get back together. He yells "I hate you " at his mother. The intensity of a real life nightmare is mirrored by a fantasy nightmare. At the same time all of the the children......

I saw Spiderwick with my 10 year old son. We both really enjoyed it, and were captivated the whole movie. I highly recommend seeing this movie, but I also recommend reading the series of 5 books. My son read them first, and really enjoyed seeing the books come to life on the big screen....

This movie was refreshing and kept you interested, well worth the money for a ticket take the kids or just go yourself.Combines fantasy and reality well....

This is a must see movie for ages 6 and up.A little iffy for the younger set.A few scarey spots.This is one of the better ones they have taken from the pages of a book and put onto the screen,After Harry Potter which will be a hard one in YA to top in my opinion.

But this will definetely be a Buy on DVD as soon as released.I will be going again by myself without the 3 Grandchildren to see it too!
