This week many of my friends and members of a dance troupe began researching the Special K Challenge thanks to a review that I found here at Viewpoints. Most of us don't need to lose weight but some of us knew that we were burning so many calories that we needed to consume healthy calories. I had my Body Mass Index (BMI) done and I am very lean. After a 24-hour fasting it was determined (medically) that my body burns approximately 1356 calories daily without any exercise and a daily caloric intake for me is usually somewhere between 500-1000. Therefore, my dancing 10 hours a week was producing an even greater caloric meltdown and I am still walking 3-4 miles 5 days a week, doing 100-220 ab crunches daily, and some weight lifting.

So, my doctor was trying to encourage me to eat smaller meals each day just to give my body something to burn off instead of going into starvation mode. I am not a regular three meals a day eater so it was going to be difficult for me to fathom eating...
...

I tried the Special K challenge and substituted a bowl of Special K for 2 meals a day for the the recommended time. At the end I could not tell much difference. I had lost a couple of pounds but not the amount they said you would.
...

kdfischer01 says "It's delicious and effective for the average dieter" about Special K Challenge

I saw it on TV and decided to take "The Special K Challenge." I didn't think it would really work, but I love special K so I figured, Hey, why not?! So I went online and found the products that "fit my challenge" for what special K products I like to eat, what I don't, and how often I snack (which is often!) So I went to the store, spent $40 on special K stuff (and milk lol) and started. 2 weeks and $40 later, I lost 3 inches around my waist. I'm not a "large" person... I don't have much to lose, so I didn't want to do some huge expensive diet. Just wanted to get a little healthier! And I feel good.

I ate one of the 3 different varieties of cereal I love in the morning with some milk or orange juice, I eat a bar for a snack, a meal bar for lunch (which really does fill me, i was SO surprised!) and whatever I wanted for a late snack and dinner... and I lost 11 pounds!

The food tastes great. There aren't restrictions and pills and limitations and all the other bogus stuff......
