plparrino says "Absolutely worth every single penny!" about Soothies Gel Pads

I breastfed my third child for just over two years. I had run into breastfeeding hurdles, but was never in need of anything more than a good quality nursing pad. Unfortunately, this was not the case with baby number four. When my youngest child was born he took to nursing like he had been born to do it, which, let's be real here...he was! However, when he was six weeks old he became ill and was admitted to the hospital where he ended up staying for thirty days. During that time he was NPO, which in hospital terms means "without food". He was on an IV the whole time, so I pumped. I pumped and I pumped and I pumped some more. I filled up two freezers and still had more to pump. I wasn't really taking very good care of myself and with all the pumping I was doing I soon began to over do things. By the time my son was ready to try nursing again I was completely raw and sore. I sent my husband to the store for the Soothies Gel Pads. I had heard that they worked but didn't know from experience,...
...

Dwynegen says "NECESSARY For All New Breastfeeding Moms" about Soothies Gel Pads

I recommend this product to all new breastfeeding moms. Everyone goes through a little nipple discomfort when they first begin breastfeeding, and often I hear mothers say that is why they quit. Well this is the answer to your problems. I was introduced to this product by my lactation consultant and I was amazed at how awesome they worked. They are such soothing reliefe when you have irritated, sore nipples. They provide a great barrier to stop your irritated nipples from rubbing against your bra and only causing more irritation.

My only complaint is that they do not absorb leakage like they say they do, so I just wore a fabric, re-usable nursing pad behind it to absorb any leakage.

A MUST HAVE!
...

When I had my second daughter I thought I might not be able to breastfeed her. I had Mastitis twice and she was biting all of the time, but these saved me. They cool on contact even without keeping them in the refrigerator. I do not know what I would have done with out them. I have stocked up for friends who are having babies and for when I have another. A must have for any nursing mother....

I got these as a gift from another breastfeeding mom. I know they say that your nipples shouldn't be sore if the baby's latch is correct, but my skin got very raw. These Soothies Gel Pads were simply a lifesaver for me. I didn't keep them in the fridge at all and they still felt cool when I put them on. I wore each pair for 3 days straight. I wasn't leaking much at that point, so I was able to wear them for that long. I would recommend them to anyone! Wonderful product!...

amandarhanner says "works immediatly" about Soothies Gel Pads

I hadn't heard of this product at all until I had my second child and they offered them to me in the hospital. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly they relieved the pain I was experiencing and the cooling sensation wasn't overwhelming like an ice pack can be. I really loved that they stayed in place even as I did things around the house with my older child. They are easy to clean and reuse also which saves alittle on how often you need to purchase them. I would rinse mine under warm water and put it in the fridge to cool, I did that about 6 times before opening another pack. They were very comfortable to use also, I really didn't feel like I was wearing them at all and you couldn't see them under my clothes, I wish I could say that about most of the breast pads that I have used over the years. I recommend this product to new and experienced nursing mothers....

When I had my daughter they did not have these things and all I use was the lanolin cream which yes, helped but not like theses did. With my son I found these to be very helpful and soothing and the coldness of them gave instant relief. I plan on having anoter child and I will defiently spend the money for these. I would reccomend them to anyone.
...

Hackermd says "Soothing Relief" about Soothies Gel Pads

I couldn't be happier with this product. Aside from using cold cabbage for engorgement, that remedy did very little for sores that developed from the challenges I faced breastfeeding. With my second daughter I literally had tears in my eyes for weeks due to aggressive feeding and improper latching. When my daughter sprouted teeth and bit through my skin, this product was the only thing that gave me comfort! She's a year old and I STILL love this product. It got a lot of use in the early weeks after her birth, and are still wonderful after a year and experiencing the occasional nipple "trauma". I highly recommend this!...

If you have a child that makes breastfeeding challenging, dont despair. Soothie's really help relieve the pain and discomfort. They are pricey but a real lifesaver when you are desperate for a solution!!!!!! I was about to give up and found them my only savior. A breastfeeding counselor told me about them. THANK GOD because I did not see them publicized anywhere. They are a great little secret product.
...
