Way better than a HP. I don't own one but I have a friend that has one and this is the best laptop I've ever tinkered around on. Well worth the price, and it's actually cheaper than most other high tech notebook/laptops.
...

Husband bought this because when we went on short trips during the year we didn't always have a way to keep in contact with family or work. The Sony Vaio that I have is great and very easy to use and the setup was easy. Easy to add accessories when you want and it remembers alot so you don't have to. It is the one thing that I make sure is ready to go whenever we are. Don't know how I got along without it before. Will probably get one of the new Blu-Ray ones later.
...

I love my Sony Vaio Laptop. It has Windows Vista on it and once you learn to use it, it is unbeatable. You can add to it many different things as long as your pocket book holds out. I researched many different ones before I bought mine and liked this better than most. Although it doesn't have a Floppy disk place on it , you can buy one that works well with it. I use my laptop often without being plugged in the wall. I fixed my laptop up to use it the wireless way. I didn't have to download many games on my laptop because it came with several already loaded on it.
...

Up until about two years ago, I really didn't feel comfortable recommending ANY laptop to family/friends or clients. However, I purchased my FIRST Sony Vaio laptop a year and a half ago. Since then, I have recommended Sony Vaio's exclusively. I know of 8 people who purchased this particular model Sony Vaio. I have only had ONE tech support call from any of the purchasers, and it happened to be that client's FIRST computer ever. The call ended up becoming a tutorial on internet usage. Another client was so impressed with their Sony Vaio, they are going to purchase...
...

I absolutely love my Sony Vaio laptop computer. What first attracted me to it was the name. Sony makes the best products that last the longest. In my experience, everything I have ever bought that was Sony was a quality product which makes me look for the name whenever I buy electronics of any kind.

Another very attractive feature is that these laptops come in beautiful colors. Not only did they have pink, my favorite color, but it is a frosty, classy pink. I also like how it has the color inside and out, whereas many others only have the color on the outside. I get so many compliments on my laptop and the unique color.

The screen is just the perfect size, not too big or small. It is big enough for me to be able to read the screen easily (I do not have great eyesight), but still small enough to be compact and easy to move and/or travel with.

The Sony Vaio is fast, nice looking and reasonably priced. I use my computer mostly for online college, email, shopping, games and...
...

The Sony Vaio is a good laptop for checking email, playing games, etc but I ran into a lot of problems with it. One of my keys keeps popping out of place and now I have a line running horizontally through my computer screen that I can't get rid of it. Also, I had problems with using software on the Vaio since a lot of the drivers are already installed. The coloring on the left-click mouse button is worn down. It's a decent laptop but I don't think I will get this kind the next time around.
...

The Sony Vaio was my Christmas present to myself last year after my husband got a big screen tv! I took a ton of time researching computers and the Vaio seemed to fit my needs the best. I read a lot of great reviews as well. I LOVED the fact that the Vaio came in a pink color! At first I wasnt crazy about Microsoft Vista but after a while I got used to it, and now I am ok with it. The keyboard is a bit higher than most and it is a bit loud, but I actually prefer the higher keyboard after using it for some time. At first it was difficult to get used to though. The screen is a nice size and has nice resolution. This computer is defineatly an improvement over my past laptops. The laptop is quite loud while running and also gets very hot though. The battery life is also not exactly great.
...

I bought a very expensive (and in my opinion) overpriced Sony Viao laptop several years ago. I finally replaced it. From the day I got it home, the fan was extremely loud and it ran really slowly. I had it serviceds approximately 5 times in 3 years. Thank god I purchased the extended warrenty because I would be out megabucks without it. The battery died 3 times. The current battery does not work at all but because the warrenty ran out, I will not be replacing it. This computer runs very hot. It is also very heavy compared to other laptops I have owned. I bought this computer as an upscale laptop that will conduct all the functions that I wanted to use on it. I honest planned on using it as a multi media player. That never did work out. I am not the only one that I know that has had trouble with a Sony Viao. My sister in law owns one as well. Hers is a year newer but she has the exact same problems with hers as I have had with mine. In addition, the computer...
...

This is a great computer. I have had my sony vaio for almost three years and I have never had a problem with it. It still runs as well today as the day I bought it and I use it for work for about 7 hours a day. As long as proper upkeep is done regualarly you should have no problems at all with this computer. It is easy to use, easy to transport, and very sleep. I love the silver cover on mine. I love the widescreen and the vivacious colors that come across. It has great programs and the keyboard is so easy to use. I wish that it had a number pad as so many laptops do now as hopefully in the future all laptops will have this feature, but for now I just do with an attachment. That is another plus, all of my attachments work very well with this computer and upload for function very easily. I would probably buy another sony vaio in the future if for some reason I need a new one. For now I am very happy witht he function of my sony vaio.
...

Sony vaio, with Tru color, highbrite techinology has the best display. The view is much better than other laptops, especially during angled views. The keypad sucks, but, overall quality of the body is good. Although, the interiors/technical aspects are the same as in other brands, SONY costs more only for the cosmetic reasons and its brandname. So, make a wise choice while investing money into a SONY VAIO.
...

I've always been a computer nut, even though I may not know as much as some people about how to use one. I have tried other brands of computers before and wasn't completely satisfied. When I decided it was time for me to get a newer laptop I did some looking around and I even did my research. I came across the Sony Vaio and was instantly drawn to it. It's appearance was what first caught my attention, but the features it offered was what sold me on it. It had the best appearance and all the features I was looking for in a laptop and it was the best deal. I couldn't pass it up. Since I have gotten it, I have been nothing but happy with it. It is easy to use and when I do need some help figuring out how to use certain applications, the help feature is the best I have ever come across, by far. I have gotten to where I love it so much that I use it daily. The only thing that I am not as pleased with is the battery life of the battery that came with it. Other than that...
...
