The sony playstation has been in our family now for over 10 years. We have bought 2 in that time period and due for another. Not that it is not a good product, but I wish that someone would come up with a system that is child prof so they don't mess it up. Also they don't tell you that if you play nurmerouse dvds on it that it will not last as long as you had hoped. But it did with stand my kids doing all kinds of things to it. If I could afford it I would up grade to a playstaytion 3. There are hook ups to the internet with the playstation 2 but it is limited. And you can't download any games from there. You can only play certain games that alow you to play on the internet. I do like it being compact. It fits in places that other councels can't so that's a plus. The instructions are too much for someone like me who doesn't like to read to much. Don't get me wrong I read if I have to but a simple 123 steps is good for me. They should at least put different colors on the specific Help...

This gaming cosole is worth the money that I ahve spent on it. The graphics of the games are absolutely suprub, as well as the response of the game consoles.

this was a big purchase for my family and I, since my husband as beenout of work. I ahve to tell you this was worth the wait as well as the money. One of the benefits ofbuying an "older console" is that many of the games are signiifanctly cheaper than what you would have to pay for the actual playsation 3.

I appreciate the dul shock contoller. Being one of hte game of pong, this was absolutely amazing experieince. the controller shakes and vibrates to what is happening on the screeen, ( isnt technology grand!)

Oly difficultyt aht i ahve wiht teh game console is that it will sometimes get difficult and cut out during the game. i amnot sure if this is due to me pulling on the cords of the controller or of the acutal game system.

This is a user friendly system and i highly recommend.!

Well, after a very long wait in my family, the have finally reduced the price fo the playstation 2...and let me tell you, it was definately worth the wait. I am completely impressed with this gaming system. The last one that my family owned was pong, if you can even remember that! Well, after a lot of research on the internet to find out which gaming system we were going to buy, yes we kept reading about the red ring of death with the xbox withich ruled out that system, we madethe final family decision to purchase this one.

We are not disappointed in any which way or form. It lives up to everything we were hoping for. I cannot believe that the controllers shake with the game, which initially had myfamily laughing becuase they could not belive this. The graphics with the games are amazing, as well as the selection of games that you can choose from. I am also happy with the reduction in price of the system, and since it is the "older system" I can buy the games for myself and...

They have finally reduced the price for the playstation 2 that normal every day households can afford and enjoy. Since the price drop to 99 bucks, our family was FINALLY able to afford our first gaming sysytem. And let me tell you, it was definately worth the wait. I just love the graphics and games as a whole. The joysticks were a little intimidating when we first looked at them (there are 12 buttons and my husband and i last played an atari), but we easily were able to get used to. Highly recommend this product.

The Sony Playstation 2 is one of the greatest consoles ever created. It has become outdated though, as the new Playstation 3 came out three years ago. The Playstation 2 however still maintains popularity among gamers though. I've had two Sony Playstation 2's in my lifetime. The first one worked good for about 4 years, and then I started having problems out of it. I brought me another which was a slimmer and silver version. This is a great console to play video games on. It maintains all of the features from previous models of the Playstation 2. The price of this console is under 100 dollars, so it is very affordable, and there are still great games available to play or purchase. One gripe I have though, is that sometimes it takes a few tries for the game to load. I could never figure out why exactly its like that, but you gotta just play around with the cover that covers the game a few times at times. Overall I would suggest anyone who is looking for an affordable gaming console to purchase...

The graphics are great in all of the games I have played on this console. Memory cards can be purchased to save your progress in all of your games. The games for this console are fairly priced. The console comes in different colors. Some can be bought with games included or they can be purchased alone. The system is small and lightweight. This makes it easy to move and or carry around if need be. It easily hooks up to todays television with the cables provided.

The playstation 2 has been a favorite in my household for several years. There are a ton of games that make this system able to withstand the test of time. Even my dad and I play Baseball and Basketball games on the Playstation 2 and we have a BLAST! Here are just a few of the great games that you can go out and buy. This console really supervised me when i opened it up. Very light and very fun to play. The playstation 2 is very cheap and great if your on a budget. This console lets you play dvd, playstation 2 games, playstation 1 games and as well as listen to music. Yo can't go online with it which really sucks but for about 100 bucks this thing this worth buying! Why get a 500 dollar dvd player when you can get this for 400 dollar cheaper? This is great for a family! Kids can play games on it and parents can listen to music as well as watching movies! I couldn't stop playing this game! My aunt came to our house with a dvd player and we told her theres no need for it because we have a Playstation 2. There is another name for this console whitch is thePS2. I really recommend this console if you want a dvd player and a console for your kids as well as a music player. I give this 4 stars for the multiple uses it has.

My family and I have enjoyed Sony Play Station 2 for over 5 years. I have 2 boys -8 and 11- and some of thier favorite games are ones that come from the movies like Star Wars and Transformers. The company offers a lot of games for kids to which I do not have to worry about too much violence or adult language.

My husband, who is an army man, loves all of the Call Of DUty games offered. Him and his buddies play all the time.

As for myself I have become addicted to Guitar Hero especially Aerosmith and Rock the 80's. I have even found myself playing when the boys are at school.

A lot of people say video game systems are not for kids, but if you as a parent find the right balance there is no need to worry about that. My boys know that the games are not real and they would never think of trying some of the things they see on the video games. They also know how to balnce play time outside with the video games. I have only positives for the Play Station...

when i first bought my ps2 (playstation 2) it blew my mind because it worked like a charm. the playstation 2 has really great features like playing cds so you can be able to lesten to your favorite songs. Play RPG (role PLaying Games) , shooting , and many more . and it can hold two memory cards wich can allow you to save the game where you left off.

Though it's a dying system because of the rising popularity of its successor, the Play Station 3, the PS2 is a wonderful gaming system. It has a wide selection of games, of various genres and difficulties, at affordable prices. However, the system does have its downsides. Many people I know have Play Station 2s that lose the ability to play Play Station 1 games and DVDs after a while. This slightly takes away from the system's usefulness. However, if you take care of it properly, it will last you a long time. I've had my PS2 for four years, others longer. Unfortunately, a lot of controllers made for the system, and other cords, don't last quite as long as the system, and many fall apart quite easily, especially with frequent use. On the bright side, however, said controllers and cords are relatively cheap to replace and they will last long enough to get your money's worth. All around, though, the PS2 is a wonderful system.

I own two playstation 2 gaming consoles. My children age eight and nine have had them since the newest version came out. We never have a hard time finding affordable games. The children are not always very gentle with the system but it seems to always work fine. They have been able to figure out how to work it by themselves for some time now. It is really good for a rainy day. I also like that we can find some game interesting enough to play together. We can watch movies over it. I feel that the graphics for the game are reaaly nice for the price of the system. We have bought some games from yard sales and gaming stores. The controller is also easy to manipulate in all sizes of hands. Playstation 2 gaming console is an all around good buy. I would definetly recommend this system to any one looking for a system that has a wide variety of games for all ages.
