Needed a dvd burner. I have limited pc experience. I was able to figure this out and burn a dvd very quickly. This was a good value....

This has helped me so much. I didnt think it would be a good investment but it really turned out to be something that I use more than my cell phone. I would recommend this to family, friends, as well as coworkers. I do a lot of family videos for everyone and I can just plug my comcorder into the laptop and make the dvds. This Christmas my familiy is getting an excerpt of my two year olds year all in one little disc. I thought what would be better than something that they miss everyday. We live away fromthem and they don't get to see him too much so let's give him what we get everyday I told my wife. This great Burner had me done before I knew it and and I shipped my Christmas gifts 2 weeks ago. I am all done with my shopping. You should try it, because now we are going home and have no shopping to be stressed about....

I had purchased the Sony DRX-830u on clearnce which is supposed to read and burn just about every type of media you can think of. I had plugged it up and placed a regular dvd in it to watch on my pc when it becomes unresponsive as in the dvd tray would not open and had to stick a paperclip in the emergency eject method to get my dvd outta there. I went back to staples and gotten another one, I tried it again and same thing...after talking to a sony technician I was told that both items they had on the shelf at staples was bad so I wen back wanting to exchange yet again but there was a newer upgraded and more expensive model in the same location so I opted for a money back refund. Highly displeased with the product but the customer service was ok....
