Since most people keep their toothbrushes in the bathroom, and let's face it, bathrooms are never that clean of a place, I was really intrigued about the Sonicare toothbrush that also had a UV bulb to sanitize the brush heads.

I did my research and found people giving high marks to this model. I then shopped around for a good price. Target had it for $175, but then I found it at Kohl's and I had a coupon for them, so I ended up getting it there for, I think, around $150.

The one we got only has one base on it. They do have models that have two bases, but I figured since hubby and I are never in the bathroom at the same time, that we could share the one base and just change heads. Clearly this model is meant for one person because there are two heads, one smaller than the other.

I chose the smaller head as mine and hubby uses the regular sized head. Included are color rings to help you designate which head is yours.

I have been a dentist for almost twenty years, so I choose to use a lot of products before I give advice. I have used this brand of electric tooth brush for over ten years. This model is a great advance over the last model. The brush heads are less complicated (less expensive) and the sanitizer is really a nice addition to the system This brush leaves your teeth feeling very clean. It is a great tool for people who brush their teeth too hard. I recommend it to many patients for this purpose. It also is great for people who have gingivitis (or bleeding gums).

One feature that I find useful is the timer. Many people think they are brushing their teeth long enough. This brush has a simple built-in timer that times in 30 second intervals. Many dentists will tell you to brush for at least two minutes. Time yourself. You probably aren't brushing long enough. Sonicare has upped the ante in the electric toothbrush industry with their FlexCare series. The brush head has been redesigned to eliminate the large cavity in the body that was a bacterial breeding ground. The brush is now a solid molded assembly that has no openings in its exterior surface to allow germ growth. It even has special fibers that change color to tell you that it's time to change them. Different colored rings are included so that the heads can be identified for each user. There is a gentle setting and a massage setting in addition to the standard cleaning mode. An ultraviolet brush head sterilizer is available on some models. My daughter used to own an Oral-B unit. When it died we bought her a FlexCare. Her reaction was "Wow!" It was easier on her gums but left her teeth feeling much cleaner. The Oral-B brush head also had an opening that could lead to bacterial growth and was very hard to clean. She'll never go back. I 'm telling you about the Philips Sonicare toothbrush (900) series. It's been quite an experience. I found it improved plaque removal better than expected.It also brightens teeth so they are whiter and my gums are much healthier. It is also helping with my gingivitis problem. Instead of going 4 times a year to the dentist for cleaning they have cut it down to 3. The brush head has contour-fit bristles for a broader sweeping range.It also has 4 settings, clean for everyday brushing , which I use most often, sensitive if your teeth or gums hurt, used it in the beginning as the vibration was a little unusual, or massage, max-care for a real thorough cleaning and massage and go care for a quick clean between regular brushing. Like after a snack. It also has a UV sanitizer that kills 99 0/0 of bacteria and viruses. I find that very helpful.

I found that my dentist was right when he recommended Sonicare and have found that my mouth, teeth and gums thank me for it.

I bought Phillips Sonicare flex after watching the ad on tv .I have been looking for a replacement of my Sonicare elite toothbrush, used previously. I bought this product after searching on the internet and vaious other stores like walgreens, CVS and walmart for the best price. I finally found it at walgreens on sale and also a $10.00 coupon to use with it. I brought it home, put it in the charger base and next morning I was delighted by its performance. I used the quick mode, then the complete care mode which lasts 3 minutes. then I used the sensitive mode and it massaged my gums so softly. Since then, I have been delighted by its performance. It not just cleans my teeth well, but it has massage function, gentle and fast motions and a complete tooth care routine which tells you when to change the side of the mouth while brushing and when to start brushing up and down. Its design is sleek and has a built in UV sanitizer , in the charger base. It has earned my loyalty.

The sonicare flex care 900 series electric toothbrush worked well in the first year of life. Upon returning after traveling for a week (utilizing the battery during that week) when I put the brush back on the charger, the charger drained the battery rather then recharging the battery. I pulled the brush off the charger for over 24 hours and on trying the brush again the brush worked. Ever since that instance the brush ability to hold a battery charge seems to flucuate. I have tried cleaning more thoroughly the brush bottom as well as the brush holder but that doesn't seem to make a difference. I have not yet purchased another brush since I have noted other reviews with the same issue and don't want to spend the money and just have the same problem. My prior electric brush was made by Oral B and lasted for many years, I expect I will switch back to oral B even though I really liked the sonicare brush.

I'm obsessed with having clean, white teeth and actually brush twice a day. However, I have been using a "regular" toothbrush my entire life. The last time I went to the Denist, I asked what I could to other than "the usual" to practice even better oral hygiene. He suggested I invest in a Sonicare Electric Toothbrush.

I did a little shopping around and found the Sonicare FlexCare 900 Series Electric Toothbrush. An investment it sure is!! For almost $200 it was very expensive, but well worth it. I will never use a "regular" toothbrush again. As crazy as it may sound, I actually feel a difference in the cleaning sessions.

The toothbrush has 5 different modes, each timed based on how long you want to brush your teeth. My favorite is the MaxCare 3-minute mode that combines both the "clean" and massage" functions.

At first, it took a while to get used to- the toothpaste splattered all across the mirror one time. But after a week, I was a pro and my mouth felt a whole lot cleaner,...

The sonicare flexcare 900 series electric toothbrush was a gift to me a few months ago. i was little over excited to recieve it, and started using it immediately. i love the deep clean it provides, and how i have to do hardly any work even though my mouth is cleaner than with a manual brush. my favorite feature on this toothbrush is that is has several different modes, one of which is a quick mode. in the morning i'm always rushing and love that there is a mode just for that! it's about 2 minutes, and beeps every 30 seconds to switch sections of my mouth. it keeps me on track with my oral hygiene while being so easy! it's also easy to travel with. the battery lasts for many days, and the charger is extremely efficient as well. i would totally reccomend this toothbrush to anyone and will never switch back to a manual toothbrush again! my whole family is making the switch now, also, to be as satisfied with their toothbrush as i am!

This is one of the best toothbrushes I have ever owned. Not only does your mouth feel like you just got back from the dentist after using it but it also comes with a UV cleaner for your toothbrushes head. The only downside to this is that the replacement heads are a bit expensive but they are well worth it. I would highly receommend this toothbrush. Also has different settings such as sensitive, massage, etc. Great toothbrush!

I have never owned an electric toothbrush before this one. I was so thrilled with The Philips SoniCare electric toothbrush! The brushes are sanitized with UV sanitizer in a separate storage compartment. It is absolutely incredible! The toothbrush has a massage setting as well as a cleaning setting. The cleaning makes your teeth feel so good and keeps them clean. My dental hygenist has even commented on how clean my teeth were when I went for a checkup.

The flashing light on the base of the toothbrush lets you know when it needs to be charged. It is quiet and fast. The heads are easy to buy. They can be purchased at a store or even online. Cleanup is easy, too. Just wipe the inside of the UV compartment with a soft, damp cloth. The toothbrushes are stored in the compartment for easy reach and keeps them clean at all times.

I can't say enough about this toothbrush setup!

My wife and I started using the Sonicare Flexcare system approximately 1-month ago.

Compared to a traditional toothbrush my teeth feel significantly cleaner using the Flexcare.

The initial start-up mode "eases" you into using an automated toothbrush and that made the transition much easier. Additionally, I really like the built-in "timer" that gives you a audible and motion based indication when to move onto another section of your mouth.

We bought the unit directly through our dentist who was basically selling them "at-cost", so even with the purchase of an additional set of "heads", the cost was competitive with most stores.

Recently, we were on a short trip and elected not to take the Flexcare with us (despite the fact it includes a travel charger and case). After just 3 days using a traditional toothbrush, my teeth did not feel as clean. I was happy to get back home to the Flexcare.

I also like the fact the unit comes with a sanitizer. I am hoping this will help prevent some of...

This Sonicare Flexcare toothbrush is incredible. Not only does it make you feel like you have just come back from the dentist, you also have the option of sanitizing your toothbrush after each visit with ultraviolet rays. I honestly didn't think Sonicare could put out a better toothbrush than the last one, but they did!

The Sonicare Flexcare Toothbrush has made a world of difference on my 6 month dental visits. My teeth are in much better condition now after the purchase of this toothbrush than before it. It was recomended to me by my dentist and a little pricey to me but in the end it was worth the money.
