The Sonicare Elite 7300 just like all Sonicare products is an electric toothbrush that uses pulsating action to help remove plaque and debris while you brush your teeth. While it never substitutes for flossing or for seeing a dentist or hygienists, it works better than manual toothbrush and reduces the amount of calcium build-up that dentists have to remove (during the six month check-up and cleaning).

The downsides are that Sonicare comes up with new models every year or so, and the first initial cost of their electric toothbrush runs from $80-100. That wouldn't be that bad, but replacement heads cost at least $20 and if you have an older model, chances are that replacement heads for that model can be found are slim. I had to change from an older model to the Elite several years ago because they stopped making replacement heads for my first model. Also, my Elite runs in 30 seconds intervals for a 2-minute stretch, which is usually standard for the Sonicare; according to my dentist,...
...

I've owned my Sonicare Toothbrush for many, many years now. This is my second one because my first one burned out since I used it so much. This second one, the Elite 7300 is an upgrade from my first one which was the actual first Sonicare they came out with.

I enjoy this toothbrush and would recommend it to anyone. I just recently had a cleaning and it was simple and easy due to this product. My hygeniest tells me that the toothbrush helps me keep my teeth the way they look and feel. The toothbrush makes my teeth feel smooth and clean. It makes you want to run your tongue over your smooth teeth.

My only negative is that when I rinse my toothrush, water gets under the head of the toothbrush and becomes gross and smelly. I often have to remove the head and clean under there. It's hard to clean with some of the cracks and crevices and I usually use a toothpick and a Q-tip.

With that being said, I would still highly recommend this toothbrush. It's worth the little hassle....
...

I didn't think I would enjoy using an electronic toothbrush, but I really do. It's mindless, yet totally efficient. Two things I like!

Anyway, toothbrushing best practice is to divide your mouth into 4 quadrants and brush each area for 30 seconds (at least this is what my dentist told me). Well, when I use a regular toothbrush, I am sure I never last that long, but with the sonicare, it is so easy to get this done. For one thing, a little "ding" occurs after 30 seconds, so you know when to move to the next area in your mouth. Additionally, the thing shuts off after 2 minutes, so you know for sure that you're done! I must admit that, at first, brushing for 2 minutes felt absolutely interminable, but I got used to it and now I'm happy to know that I'm doing the right thing for my teeth!

An additional good thing about the toothbrush is that the battery really lasts. I only have to charge it once every 2 weeks.
...

I have been using my Sonicare Elite electric toothbrush for over four years and it's been great to have and definitely improves on my tooth brushing regiment. Since the toothbrush vibrates, it makes it easier to clean the teeth in the back of the mouth because you are no longer relying on a back and forth motion. The toothbrush also came with a hard travel case, that fits both the brush head and the handle, and a charger.

Battery life in the first year of use was a little over 2 weeks. It now lasts about 1 week before the orange light comes on to let you know that it needs to recharge. That's pretty good to me. However, in the past year, I've noticed that the intensity of the brush vibration does weaken over time, so it's necessary to recharge the brush more frequently if you want a more vigorous brushing experience. The other thing that contributes to less vigorous vibrations is the wearing down of the magnet in the brush. When I started buying replacement brushes a few years ago, the...
...

Before accquiring my Sonicare Elite 73000 electric toothbrush, I had always used a manual one. I was having some dental problems, like bleeding of the gums. My Dentist recommened that I should try the Sonicare toothbrush. That was at least ten years ago. I have used a Sonicare ever since. It has stopped the bleeding of the gums, and makes my teeth feel cleaner. I always have it recharging, so it's always ready when I need it. It packs very easily for travel. I guess the positives are how good it makes your mouth feel, and with a built-in timer, it forces you to brush your teeth for 2 minutes, 30 seconds on each quadrant. The downside is of course it is more expensive. The replacement heads are also expensive. And simply anything that is rechargeable doesn.t work forever, but it's definitely worth it. The company seems to listen to the customers needs and is continually bringing out new models at various price ranges.

My Sonicare Elite Toothbrush is the best toothbrush I have ever used. I received for Christmas and have been using it for 2 years! It's easy to replace the heads, and the battery holds a charge for a long time before it has to be recharged.

I am going to Europe this Summer and I am worried about leaving this toothbrush behind! I don't ever want to go back to a regular toothbrush. My teeth feel so clean after using this!...

I am very cautious about the health of my teeth.

I checked out the Sonic Care toothbush, but, upon seeing the price, I decided to ask my dentist what she thought of it first. She gave it a glowing review, so I plopped down the $79.95 for it. I can now honestly say that it was the best $79.95 I've ever spent.

The first time I used this toothbrush, my teeth felt smooth and cleaner than they ever did with a manual toothbrush. I thought it may have been a one time feeling because of the change in brush, but I am thrilled to report that the feeling occurs everytime I brush.

My dentist check ups have been much more postitive since getting this brush. My teeth are constantly cleaner and actually appear slightly whiter.

The only downside to this brush is the cost of the innital unit and the replacement heads. It also takes some getting use to because you have to hold the brush at a 45 Degree angle to your teeth rather than being flush with them. Because the heads are changable, my husband...
...

My fiancee and I used an older version with both units lasting about a year and a half before they quit charging. After spending+/- $125.00 and finding that the only reason that they had to be thrown away was the 2 - $5.00 AA rechargable batteries, I was really disappointed. But, we were both so impressed by the performance, that we upgraded for about $135.00 and were really impressed by the newer versions performance. However, after using them less than a year, the rubber power button seal on my unit split away from the cartridge, allowing water to enter into the electronic portion of the unit. I quit using it to prevent further damage. Two days later, the exact same thing has happened to her cartridge body! If these units cannot be replaced, I will never again invest in this inferior product....

The Sonicare Elite is absolutely the BEST toothbrush made. It does a very thorough job and I used to have gum disease and went for therapy and my dentist recommended this toothbrush and I have had EXCELLENT results every since using it. I have no more gum disease and I went from almost 30 bleeding sites per cleaning to less than 5 and this has continued for a few years so I definitely credit my Sonicare toothbrush. I just upgraded form the regular Sonicare to the Elite and I love the size and the extra options. This is well worth the money and you will make the cost back through excellent dental health! This was also recommended by my son's orthodontist so I bought one for my son when he got braces. It tickles at first but then you get used to it and it times your brushing so you don't cheat and and brush less than 2 minutes!...
