I received this in a gift set and have to say i'm not that big of a fan. I felt as though I had racoon eyes and it caked up my makeup.

Quick View: Smashbox products have disappointed me often but have also surprised me with their quality at times. Smashbox Photo Op Eye Brightener as disappointing to me at first until I realized it wasn't a concealer alone. It is more of a primer for concealer that lightens and brightens the eye area as well as hydrates it.

About Smashbox Photo Op Eye Brightener

The little tube has a brush applicator and the product is lightly tinted It has light reflecting particles that brighten the eye area and moisturizing ingredients to soften lines and nurture the eye area.

When I first tried Smashbox Photo Op Eye Brightener, I was totally disappointed in it. It didn't conceal my dark circles well at all although it did brighten the area and hydrate it. It was after I read that it should be used as a concealer primer that I really understood the concept. This lightweight formula is almost like a tinted cream but it has brighteners that deflect shadows. It fills in little lines and wrinkles and preps......

Smashbox Photo op Eye brightener is just that an under the eye brightener. This product is great...when you are in rush and had a long night (no sleep) YOu just dab this around the eye it just brightens them up. You can use this alone or with your favorite concealer I love this stuff I never leave home without it . What is also great is this can also be used as a highlighter for the face.

I know there are a lot of negatives reviews out there for Smashbox under eye brightener but I love this product. I apply it right before my foundation and the key is to make sure it dires all the way before applying your foundation. It will brighten your under eye area slightly, the more I want the more layer so of it you can apply and let dry. It is very natural looking

I purchased a try-me kit from Smashbox which contained a deluxe sample size tube of the Photo Op Eye Brightener. It's a liquid concealer, that's similar to a tinted moisturizer. Has some speckles of gold in it. It's really liquidity, and a little goes a long way. Pat it underneath your eye and make sure to blend. I admit I don't have the darkest of circles, but for me, I felt refreshed. I even tried it on my boyfriend who sometimes has darker circles, and it lightened it up for him as well. I suppose you could also use it as a natural eye-shadow....

Photo Op works great as an undereye illuminator to brighten the area. It also doubles as a great primer underneath concealer to prevent my makeup from settling or creasing under my eyes. I have serious under eye circles and notice a difference when I pat a decent amount of this product under and around my eyes (don't forget to apply it to the inner and outer corners of your eyes too.) It is not a replacement for concealer.
