I have always used powder foundations until I stumbled across the perfect liquid foundation. While I was at sephora I purchased Makeup Forever HD foundation as well as receiving a few samples of foundation primers. I didn't want to spend a butt-load of money on a product unless I knew it worked the best for me. The lady suggested a few products so I ended up with a sample of urban decay primer, laura mercier primer and prime time primer from bare escentuals. I spent quite a bit on the foundation so i was eager to find the perfect primer for it. After trying all 3 on separate days, the smashbox photo finish worked the best with my sensitive skin. That isn't all though, It made my face super soft and provided the perfect canvas for my foundation. It also reduced the size of my pores making my face look flawless even though it is far from that. I am definitely picking one up once my sample runs out. :)

I have super sensitive skin, which is why I use Smashbox Photofinish Foundation Primer Light. It does the exact same this as the original primer but works much better for my touchy skin.

Honestly, I was never into foundation primers until a friend turned me onto Smashbox. Every primer I used before made my skin feel greasy, clogged my pores and didn't seem to do anything for my skin. Not so with Smashbox Photofinish! This amazing primer works to keep my makeup on all day long and actually feels very light and moisturizing on my skin.

After cleansing and moisturizing my face, I apply this primer and then follow with my normal makeup routine. It helps my foundation stay on all day - I rarely have to reapply! Plus, it helps even out skin tone and makes your face feel soft, smooth and supple.

If you have particularly sensitive skin or are tired of reapplying your makeup all day long, then you definitely should try Smashbox Photofinish Foundation Primer Light. I don't know what I did before...

I had this product recommended to me 4 years ago by a LA makeup artist. I have never went without it since. Makes such a drastic difference to your skin. Makes it like silk.

A little pricey, but last forever.

I found that this primer is very light. But the consistency reminds me of glue for some reason and the slight smell. It is not as easy to spread and apply as the smashbox dermaxyl version. But because I have oily/combination skin, I decided to get this since the dermaxyl isn't oil-free. But nonetheless, it gets the job done, makes makeup stick to it longer. Just wish the consistency was easier to spread.

Smashbox photo finish primer light is great fo rthose with sensitive skin and it helps to prime the face under makeup. the makeup slides smoothly over it to make it look great!!

I love smashbox and have a bunch of their products in my makeup kit.

I was very dissappointed in Smashbox Primer. For the $35 price, I expected it to be somewhat of a "miracle product," but It fell way below expectations. It did not seem to smooth out my skin or make my pores look smaller. Shortly after using Smashbox primer, my face broke out with nasty pimples which I am still trying to get rid of. I haven't had zits like this since junior high!!! The primer apparently clogs my pores. The only good thing I can say about the product is that my foundation did not melt off in the hot summer heat when I was using it.

I bought the Smashbox Primer Light about 2 months ago, and haven't noticed a difference at all. I use it on top of a moistureizer with powder makeup, and it still comes off. My face isn't overly oily or dry, but I wouldn't suggest this to any friends. I feel that for the $30+ I spent that I should be getting a much bigger bang for my buck. My face is still shines at the end of a hard day, my makeup still doesn't cling to my skin like I'd hoped, but it does feel good on my face. Maybe if you have 0 skin problems, but believe that you need a primer, then this procuct is for you. Otherwise, don't bother.

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer, in any formula, is the best! I love it so much but use it so sparringly. It makes my face feel so smooth that sometimes I just put that on and just say to myself "what the heck, I'll go au'natural with just my primer." My makeup never runs, or bleeds when I am wearing Smashbox's primer and at the end of the day when I wash my face it feels so smooth, almost as if it was never dirty in the first place! I will always bounce around and try different foundations, but the primer that goes underneath (95% of the time) will always be the same! The only vice I have is 1.) the bigger bottle runs $36.00 and it seems like I can never get every last drop out. I feel like I am wasting so much even though I try so hard to get ever last drop. 2.) the price, yikes, if I felt like I was getting every drop I wouldn't mind the $36.00 because it would take me at least 2 months to use it all (I use sparingly too) but I get the travel size which is half the size and...

This is an awesome product, as most other Smashbox items are! Evens out any type of skin (i have combination dry/oily) and preps for foundation! Makes skin appear quite flawless. Adds a barrier to oliy skin and keeps dry areas from looking flaky with foundation! Helps give foundation staying power! Deff recommend this!...

Last week, I placed an order for a compact at Sephora.Com. They give you free samples with every purchase. I was given a list of products to choose from and one of the was Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer. I had never tried Smashbox personally but I had read good reveiws in magazines and saw some people talking about it online so I figure I would go for it.

A few days later, my package arrived. Inside was the Primer and since I was getting ready for a date, I tested it out. WOW! it went on so light and smooth. It did not feel greasy or heavy in any way. After applying that to my face, I added my foundation and then a light dusting from my compact. One look in the mirror and I was just stunned. My face looked absolutely flawless!
All night long, my boyfriend kept commenting on how smooth my face looked. I do not normally have terrible skin but sometimes the redness of my face shows through the makeup after a few hours. I went all night with this stuff on and never once did my redness......

Smashbox Photo Finish in the light formula is just what I needed. I loved the concealing power of the original formula, but it always caused me to break out after the fact. The "light" version of this product is the perfect solution. It has an awesome flawless texture and works wonders like the original so that your skin feels perfectly smooth to the touch. Oily shine is also mattified- I noted for 8 hours during one wear. You can wear this alone, or it makes your make-up application look even more perfect by not letting particles settle into any imperfections or wrinkles and become more obvious. Most importantly, it did not cause my skin to break out at all.

It's a little bit expensive- I think 1 oz is ~$30. But a little bit can go a long way- so I believe it is worth the upfront investment.

I love smashbox product, and I really love the photo finish light primer. I have oily skin in my T-zone (like many women) and I can definitely tell the difference when I put my primer on. My skin can go the whole day without appearing or felling oily. I don't know how I went without it before. I've never used a primer before, so at the beginning, I did get some acne around my nose, and T-zone. I don't have that problem anymore though!! Really recommend it, well worth your money....

This Smashbox product is both great in quality and in quantiity. You only need a small amount to cover your face perfectly for the whole day. It is a little pricey, but when youre looking for quality at a high-end make up counter, its worth it. It looks and feels smooth and not thick and cakey. It lasts all day and blends well. I was, and still am, very satisfied with this product and its results....

The Smashbox photo finish face primer in light worked well for me,

First it really makes the foundation go on smoothly with exceptional blending ability and a nice finish .

keeps makeup looking fresh and just applied .works well with any foundation and finishing powders . helps the foundation cover better epically with age spots and freckles.This is actually the first smashbox product I have liked and I have had a few .
