jazzybean01 says "The second Sisterhood is not as tight as the first" about Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2

I was super excited to watch the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 because I really loved the first movie. I've also read all the books and thought, "this is only going to get better." Apparently whoever was making these films though otherwise. Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 turned out to be a mix of the second, third and fourth novel! How can you put that much excitement and history into one movie?!

Instead of enjoying what might have been a wonderful film I found myself wondering which scene of the film was in which book. I just couldn't get over that they crammed three books into one film! I was very disappointed. Knowing the book histories it was kind of hard to keep up with the film because they were jumping all over the place. I'm thinking that if I didn't read the books I might have enjoyed the Sisterhood 2 movie, but then I though about the context of the film.

There was a big gap in character development between the first and second Sisterhood movies. ...
...

If you are into chick-flicks, this is the movie for you. Sisterhod of the Traveling Pants - 2.

I loved this movie. The beginning is fairly slow but it starts to pick up abut 37 minutes into it. It's a good, clean, caring movie about 4 best friends who share this one pair of jeans that fits them all. They find love, peace and happiness in this movie. There are open wounds that need to be healed and it is believed that the pants, heal all. The pants finally disappear at the end and now are going on to heal and help others.

The scenery is amazing in this movie. The acting is good. Great cast. This movie will make you laugh and cry and make you want to call your mother just to tell her you love her.

...

sarah72194 says "It wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be" about Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2

Me and my sister went to go see this movie not too long ago and we both thought it was a little on the stupid side. I thought the ending was wierd how her sister lost the pants and all the sudden all the girls were automatically in Greece looking for the pants. I thought it was stupid how they never found the pants too. And I thought it weird how the girl that worked at Wal Mann's in the first one almost got pregnant. That was stupid. I mean I'm glad there was a second one, but they could of at least made it better then what it was.
...

LauraBelle says "Obvious In the Beginning, Then Gets Going As It Warms Up " about Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2

I wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy or be able to follow along with the story of Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2, as I've never read any of the book series, and I hadn't seen the first movie. Then I remembered Sex and the City, and thought I hadn't seen any of the series when it was originally airing on HBO, yet went to see the film when it was released back in May and absolutely loved it, prompting me to get caught up on the series by catching the reruns on cable. I hoped for the same thing from Sisterhood, but that wasn't exactly what I got.

Not that the movie didn't provide me a chance to get caught up to the storyline, as it did. It showed us the status of where the four main characters, Carmen, Bridget, Lena, and Tibby had been last time, and showed a quick review of what they'd been up to since, all in college and pursing their individual dreams. They reconnect on summer break with the intention of spending the summer with each other and the shared pair of pants, but find they......

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2is the sequel based on a four novel, teen chick book series by Ann Brashares. This follow-up continues with another summer in the lives of the four girls, who are no longer teenagers, but college students. Their lives appear to be growing apart when they spend their summers on four completely different adventures of discovery as they seem to forget each other a bit. Tibby spends her summer facing commitment-phobia as she goes to NYU summer school. Lena takes a summer drawing course to distract her from the troubles with her long love, Kostos when she finds a model distraction in front of her. Bridgette takes a break from Soccer to travel on an archaeological study which leaves her empty and searching for the history of her own life. While Carmen is broken hearted at the idea that all of her friends want to spend the summer apart and deals with it by taking a on a theater workshop where she discovers a talent of her own. The girls come together...

...
