Singer is a good brand to purchase if you are in the market to buy a sewing machine. I have a Singer Sewing Machine that is over 25 years old, and still works great. I have it serviced maybe once every 2 years. It is work the money. I recently purchased another Singer Sewing Machine from Sears with more stitches, saves you lots of time, and makes your sewing project impressive. If you want quality at a reasonable price, buy a Singer Sewing Machine, it's worth the money and will last for years. The new machine is light-weight, and easy to load the bobbin. This machine has many stitches to choose from to complete your project, versus embroidering by hand.

I have a old Singer Sewing machine that was passed down to me from my Grandma. Still works ! but it was the older heavy model. My husband bought me a new Light weight Singer sewing machine last year for Christmas. Its so handy light weight. I save tons of money hemming, my kids clothes...curtains. Love it. Works perfect everytime I pull it out.

I have a seriously old singer. It is a push peddle one. It still works like a dream too. It belonged to my grandmother, my aunt, and yadda yadda yadda... It is simple and works great. Ok, so no automatic buttonholer, but I like straight lines....

I have an antique Singer sewing machine - treddle style - from1923! I wouldn't take anything in the world for it! I am scared to death of modern machines...they move too fast for me, but because it's a treddle - I can control the speed, and feel much more comfortable using it.

I'm sure most people will disagree with me on this because people nowadays seem to value expediancy in all things, but I prefer the quality and safety of an older machine. When I'm not using my old Singer, I simply sew by hand. In my opinion there is nothing like old world craftsmanship - that goes for both my work, and my machine.

On bigger projects I rely heavily on my Singer. Old though it may be, it still saves me a lot of time! Being able to control the speed makes my work look better too, but most of all I value the sense of security it gives me knowing I can control the speed with my foot. I've seen my mother sew her finger so many times on...

Never ever buy a Singer Sewing machine. First of all every piece is made in China. It is almost impossible to get parts. Singer makes their machines for people who like to think they can sew but, never take the machine out of the box. And, on top of everything they laid almost all of their current employees over the age of 50 AND are on the verge of going out of business. Buy one of their machines ONLY if you want something to look at....

particularly my dressess i brought from my native place those offenly the stiches are come out.so,i want to found the sewing machine,too.Nowadays, i not worried and no tension about my dress and i will make smart dressess to my kids.now i can repair my kids pands and other cloths which need repair.this seing machine is very eacy and nice....

my name is Tay , I have a singer machine it does the job but I found some pieces are made cheaply , and when my niece used the machine she found it hard to use , I bought the machine because I was making a quilt by hand and I was tired of getting poked by my needle , after buying the machine it helped but I found it to start to breakdown bobbins stuck,threading was very hard ...I should have done some research first....

3 stars singer sewing machine it is a great easy machine to use convient for small jobs like mending or sewing on patches for the kids for girl scouts and its portable . easy to store .threading is simple the bobbin works great. my children can use it also after being taught would recommend this machine to anyone looking for a durable but inexpensive machine....

I own a very basic machine. Took a basic sewing class and love it. I would like to upgrade one day to a better machine. does not come with lits of bells and wistles but does just enough to get the job done. Mine is over 10 years old but still could sew a blind hem better then a woman who had a brand new sparkaling machine....
