In the last 5-6 years, I have gone through 4 mattresses - none of which worked with my back. We had: Sleep Number, Sterns/Foster, Original Mattress Factory (top of the line one), and KMed (latex foam mattress from Europe) but we have finally found MY mattress - the Beautyrest Black. I think we have the Adelade...it has a memory foam top. I am comfortable on my side and on my back...can't sleep on my stomach because of my bad back. If offers the support I need but isn't too hard....I seriously don't want to get out of bed in the morning it is so comfie! I've read that some people have sagging problems....luckily, we have not had this problem and we've had it about a year. We have a platform bed - so no box spring...not sure if that has any bearing on not having a problem with the sagging? Probably not. Barely feel my husband move which is also really nice!
...

We purchased this and were excited, the first night we could see sag in the mattress, After 6 months and many mornings of back aches, I called and got it replaced. We have had our second one for about 2 years. It took about two weeks for the sag to be noticeable and it kept getting worse form there. We are returning it and lookig for a better quality bed.

I purchased the Simmons Beautyrest Black - Roslyn mattress in 2008. Initially it was a wonderful night's sleep and I was really happy with spending nearly $3000 to buy it. However, a year and a half later I am throughly dissappointed that a mattress that expensive should start to sag and form a deep bowl impression on the right half of the mattress. This has started to cause my hips to ache after sleeping on that side. The rep came to measure the depth of the impression and fortunately it meets the criteria to be replaced under warranty but initially when I was at the store talking to him he about the problem he doubted the problem would meet the warranty criteria and tried to convince me that it was the 'natural' body contours that develop an impression in the plush top. Truly disappointed in Simmons and the quality of such an expensive mattess.
...

We bought the mattress because of the comfort and recommendation from the clerk. In less then a year the pillow top had huge indents. I called the store who sent out a representative who measured over 2 1/2 inch indents. The store replaced the mattress after I again had to pay delivery and sales tax on the replacement. It has been 5 months and the problem is happening all over again. I have contacted the store again since it is still under warranty. This is ridiculous considering this is not a inexpensive mattress. My inexpensive mattress lasted at least 6 years!
...

Macys charges full retail on a lot of the mattresses they display. I went to a Sleep Train and their price was about 1/2 the price of what Macys was charging, however Macys gives you 1/2 off... which was $300 less than Sleep Train's normal price. Sleep Train matched Macys price and gave me an additional 5% off of the Beautyrest Black Exquisite Super Pillowtop Firm. I tried the Viola and it was relatively firm for me because I slept on my side. The salesperson @ Sleep Train was more knowledgeable and helpful than the salespeople @ Macys. He said because I sleep on my side, he'd recommend something softer than the Viola as all the models share the same spring system and same # of coils. I liked the Rosalyn Super pillowtop, but my girlfriend liked the Exquisite because it was a firm pillowtop. We've been sleeping on the Exquisite for over a year and it's still super firm. I only wish she chose the Rosalyn because it was cheaper and softer than our Exquisite. But then again,...
...

My husband and I purchased the Simmons Beautyrest Black Rosalyn mattress for $2500 in the summer. We had it 10 days and the side of the bed popped out about 2 inches! Immediately I went to the mattress store that we purchased it from, photos in hand, and complained. They told me that I had to go directly to the manufacturer. The representative at Simmons Beautyrest Black told me to go through the place that I purchased it from. Eventually the mattress was exchanged for another from the mattress store. A few months later I noticed the side of the bed was again popped out about 2 inches along 1/2 the length of the bed! My husband said it had been that way since about a few weeks after we got it. I didn't notice it since he helps make the bed and is on his side. I was pretty upset. My husband is heavy, (280 lb), but he weighed as much while sleeping on our old mattress (also a Simmons Beautyrest) and it never did this in the entire 10 years that we had it!!!!! This time...
...

This is my 4th Simmons in three years. I will never buy Simmons again! The Simmons Black Rosalyn mattress felt so good the first few weeks. Now a month later, I have a huge indention on both sides. I am not a large person, very petite and my husband is not large either. This mattress has to be the worst out of all the Simmons I have tried. I did tons of research and even asked the salesman if latex sags and they assured me that it doesn't....WRONG!!! Now my back is killing me every morning and I can't take this dang thing back, Do Not Buy!!...

I purchased the Beautyrest Black and it is by far the worst purchase I have ever made. It was great for about two weeks, but now it is the WORST bed I have ever had the misfortune to sleep in. I wake up every morning feeling as though I was beaten to death in my sleep. We made repeated attempts with the store to replace it with another brand, but we were constantly told that it was only the memory foam layer and it should "spring back". I am here to tell you it never has . There are two huge dips in the bed where my husband and I sleep. It provides little support after about 6 months. Save your money and buy a cot, you will probably get a better night's sleep. Don't waste your money!! Buy a Sterns and Foster!! I don't work for the company, but I have one in my guest room which is where I am forced to sleep from now on if I expect to sleep at all! I have had that bed for 13 years and it is still just as good as the day I bought it! DON"T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!...

The mattress is suppose to be top of the line, yet when it started to sag, the manufactuer told us to deal with the place where we bought it. The place where we bought it sent someone out ot measure the divets (first of all, there shouldn't be a 'divet' in a mattress of this caliber). The mattress did not reach the necessary 1 1/2 in sag in order to qualify for the warrenty (useless warranty i might add). The store where we bought it said that all mattresses have 'body impressions' in them after use.... this is absolutely not true!!! I have had numerous mattresses over the years. Some expensive and some not expensive at all. This is the first one that has sagged!!! I am extremely disappointed in the mattress and how the store is dealing with the so-called 10 year warranty - it's a bunch of baloney!!! DO NOT BUY THIS MATTRESS!!...

We are on our third warranty simmons bed in six years,Each one lasting less time than the one before... Main problem has not been the warranty, but when you buy top shelf items, then come back in two years that bed is no longer made.First time i kicked in almost $800.oo to get the same comfort level simmons.Simmons bed round two, no problems meeting sag requrements over 5" of hammoc sag on this cash cow, you only need 3" to win. This time the factory's top of the line bed was about 250.oo less we got it back as store credit not bad... Now our eight month old special edition simmons black is sagging worse than all three beds before, don't forget the 1st one,This week the factory rep will be back out again to measure to see if it will be bed number four, our bed came with a 10 year full Warranty, So if you have one check that out. 01/08/09....

It lasted 1 month as the side collapsed. It was inspected and replaced with the

same model in November 2008, this mattress lasted 2 weeks before the same thing

happened. I am in the process of getting this one inspected. I called Simmons cust-

omer service and was told that this was not a manufacturing or quality problem, but

that you should not sit on the edge of your bed only to get in and out. If you need to

remove your slippers on take a drink of water or any thing else, you should use a chair

Mattresses are not made to sit on. Well I'm 70 years old and I've used a few mattresses

and I have always sat on the edge of my bed to take off my slippers or get a drink of

water, without the edge of the bed collapsing.

We moved about a year ago and decided to upgrade from a queen to a king bed. I liked soft pillow top mattresses and my husband liked a more firm mattress. We really were interested in finding something that we would both find comfortable, so we decided on a Select Comfort. We did a lot of research on them, as well as tried them out several times at a Select Comfort store. Thankfully, when we went to make the purchase, we went to a Mattress Firm store that had a variety of different beds. We quickly decided that the Select Comfort beds were really not that comfortable (you can feel the middle of the bed!) The salesperson directed us to the Simmons Beautyrest- I wonder why (: We were hesitant, but agreed that this would be a long-term purchase, so we decided to pay extra money than originally planned. A year later I am so extremely happy that we spent the money.
...

I finally went to the mattress store to buy a new bed after enjoying my previous bed for almost 20 years (well, the last few years it was definitely time for a new one!). I tried the Simmons Beautyrest Black Rosalyn and fell in love with the plush top. It was so comfortable yet supportive! Beware, it doesn't last.

The store first sent me the wrong one in the Beautyrest Black series (Helena). While waiting for Rosalyn, While I slept on the Simmons Helena while waiting for Roaslyn, I noticed the plush top rapidly lost it's comfort, sagging in places. The store assured me to wait until I got the right mattress.

I have slept on it for 3 weeks and it has already pancaked an inch. I am not a big person (120 lbs). There is no support left, where I sleep it is completely flat, just like my 20 year old bed! Thank goodness I bought it at one of those stores with a comfort guarantee. At first the sales rep tried to tell me it's just the first few weeks of adjustment (what, to a canoe bed?). ...
...
