When I was pregnant, my husband and I attended the child preparation class at my hospital. A peditrician gave a detailed review of all of the different types of formula products on the market. He advised that we breastfeed but also gave his review of formula. I breastfed my daughter for a year, but at seven months old, I started to give her a bottle of formula before bedtime. Until that time, she was dependent on being breastfed before bed, which meant that if I could not be home, then she would not go to bed. I am sure she would have grown out of this phase, but we decided giving her a bottle before bed would be an easy enough transition. Anyway, the peditrician stated that Similac's research team was extremely innovative, research-based, and considered the best in the business. He said if breastmilk was not possible, he would only consider Similac products. That being said, I wanted an Organic product, so when I found Similac Organic, I knew it was the right choice for...

Similac Organic has been a main and important staple in my daughter's diet since she was young. Similac organic baby formula has kept my baby healthy since I stopped breast feeding her at seven months of age. She is two and still takes it, asking for it several times throughout the day. She is not a good eater, and is allergic to milk so I am happy with the nutrients that she receives by supplementing her diet with Similac Organic. She is rarely sick, and loves it taste. I am also pleased with product's ingredients and the low amount of sugar it contains compared to other formulas. Walgreens has the best price for the formula that I have found. I am sad that soon I will have change her to rice or soy milk and will miss the nutrient and immunity factors that Organic Similac offers. We are in the process of adopting a baby from China, and I am already thinking of possible ways to pack my Similac Organic so that I can start her on it as soon as possible.

When your newborns are staying at the hospital, they are given the best care possible. My daughter had to spend 2 extra weeks in the NICU because of an infection. She was terribly sick and of course we were terrified but as everyone insisted, she was in the best of hands.

when i was using this to supplement it worked very well, but when we quit breastfeeding, my little one had lot's of acidic diarrhea, she's now on similac isomil advanced. Similac Organic Baby Formula , does taste good, didn't have spit up no gas, no constipation, i wish they had an organic soy. if your baby can handle milk base go for this one, you can find good deals on ebay for this to.

I was using Organic similac, and then read an article from the New York Times about it. They use cane sugar (sucrose) to sweeten it, and it's the sweetest formula on the market these days. I'm switching today!

Similac Organic was great for our youngest daughter. I am a mother of four and wish that Similac Organic had been around when my other children were babies. We tried every formula for our 1 year old, and she always had issues with each one of them. Finally I decided to give Similac Organic a try and it was great. Within a day I could see a major difference in her. She stopped spitting up, she was eating good, before we had issues with her spitting her bottle out and not wanting to eat, She wasn't as gassy or fussy.

I love how Similac Organic is made from real cow's milk, but only organic, it is certified USDA Organic. I am not a health nut, but I try to give my children the best products and I feel that natural foods are so much better since they don't have all of the extra junk in them. I feel that even if I'm just giving my kids milk that came from a cow that ate things that had pesticides & all that other gunk on them, that not all of it is fully filtered out, so my children are actually...

After having two kids with stomach problems, one which was allergic to soy and the iron upset his stomach, and the other had acid reflux as an infant, I was worried about choosing the right formula for my third baby. I did however breastfed all of my kids but I use formula when I was on the go. I found that the Similac Organic didn't upset my baby's stomach plus I was felt like I was feeding her something that was just as good as breast milk. By feeding your child Organic milk you are keeping the fertilizers, pesticides, and antibiotics out of your child. Also the ingredients in fertilizers and pesticides which are transferred to regular milk cows through eating the grass and in turn consummed by your child are CARCINOGENS. More importantly, your child will not ingest the antibiotics given to regular cows which lowers the affectiveness of antibiotics given to your child when he or she needs them. I strongly would recommend Similac Organic to any of my friends who are expecting.

I bought Organic Similac thinking it was an a safer, organic alternative to the regular Similac we had been using. But within 48 hours my son become constipated. I couldn't understand why -- he had been fine on both enfamil and similac. I did some research and disovered organic similac is made with sucrose instead of lactose, because organic lactose is really really expensive. The sucrose is basically cane syrup, which is really sweet and hard for babies to digest. Organic Similac is the ONLY formula I have found that uses sucrose. Even the knock-off walmart brand is better and contains the more expensive organic lactose (and it's actually $10 cheaper!). Of course, babies love the Organic Similac because it's sweet -- it's the most sugary formula you can buy!

I love Similac's Organic baby formula, my daughter used it for MONTHS and never had a problem with spitting up or gas. While this formula can be a little more costly than others, if you join Similac's mailing list they periodically send you checks for the cans. You can combine these checks with coupons as well, for even MORE savings! I used to save $15.00 a can, that is half the price.

This formula made me feel good about giving my baby formula, after struggling to breastfeed. I only want the best for my baby girl, and I believe this formula delivers it. I feel smart buying it too, because I always used coupons and checks.

You CAN feed your baby organic without breaking the bank! I have recommended this product to all of my friends who formula feed. I would recommend it to anyone! When we have another baby and if we decide to feed him/her formula, we will definitely be looking into getting this formula again.

My son is now 5 1/2 months old, and since I am going back to work, we needed to find a formula to supplement with "just in case." Concerns abounded-- will he like it? Will he drink it? Digestability? Constipation? No need to worry. The kid "switch hits" like he was born to do it. And as for the "more sugar" controversy, you should note that what they are not adding is lactose, which is difficult for some babies to digest (i.e. increases spit-up and gas), but cane sugar instead. AND, unlike Earth's Best, Parent's Choice, and Bright Beginnings, MILK is listed as the #1 ingredient-- other brands use demineralized whey and oil. (Although EB did not disclose the ingredient change on their website at this writing, the packaging contains the ingredients in the order I mentioned-- deceptive, anyone?) Why? Because it's cheaper to do so. Do your research, make the comparison, and ultimately, you will come to the same conclusion-- breast is best, but if you're going to give your baby formula, make...

My midwife recommended this formula (Similac Organic) shortly after my son was born, as he was having trouble latching on, and needed something to eat until my milk came in. My husband picked up two bottles of the ready to feed (liquid) formula from our local Target, where they cost about $6.50 each. I was very reluctant to use this product because I wanted to exclusively breastfeed my child, but I had not choice. i did feel good about it being organic, at least. The bottle is easy to pour and in a durable container, but SMELLS VERY BAD, maybe because of the vitamins. It also stained some of my son's clothing. However, I think this is probably true for most formulas. The two bottles did last a while (even though we had to feed him every 2 hours because of jaundice), and we used the organic formula for about a month.

As far as Similac goes, I had a hard time finding coupons for their products (other brands were easier to find and more often on sale) but my son didn't have any problems digesting...

I have one daughter who has been mostly on formula because of various reasons.

Our hospital gave us Similac advance to use, We chose this one because we trusted the Similac name, the hospital mentioned it first over the other choices, and we knew that it contained ARA and DHA ... ingredients added to infant formulas to help promote healthy brain development.

The idea behind these added ingredients is to provide formula milk that is similar to breast milk. DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and ARA (arachidonic acid) are currently stated to support the rapid brain and eye development in babies as they develop. This particular formula claims to "support mental and visual development" with these added ingredients, something important to parents. The addition of these ingredients as well is recommended by our local pediatricians in the area. Armed with that knowledge, and knowing we had tried a formula with DHA and ARA with our other daughter, we felt comfortable in starting this baby on Similac...

I wanted an organic product for my little girl, I even bought the RTF plastic bottles to reduce BPA in her diet..........now news of Perchlorate. URGGGG what is a parent to do???? I also found out as I was doing more research for child #3 that Similac Organic formula contains SUCROSE because it is cheaper then lactose (especially organic). Not a good thing for an infant, especially the teeth and later possible diet issues and obesity???? At this point I think we will have to try another alternative. I do love the fact the RTF plastic bottles contained no BPA.....we may end up with the similac organic......just have weight in all of our options and choose the less of all the evils out there! ...
