I tred many types of formula when my baby was still a newborn, he had a lot of issues with gas and spitup. All the others that I tried did not seem to help the situation. My son is very healthy and active. At his doctor's appointments his doctor has commented on how healthy he is, he gains weight properly and has always been right about midline in how much formula he drinks. As he has gotten older he no longer has any issues with gas or spit up but I still choose to use this formula since it has been great for us so far. I know also that this is the same formula my mother had me and my siblings use so that helps me feel strongly that this is a great brand and will provide all necessary nutririon for the correct amount of time needed. My husband and I also plan to give out son the Go & Grow formula after he turns one to make sure he is getting all the nutrients he needs. I would reccomend Similac Isomil Advance to anyone.
...

Neav says "If you dont want to see your baby crying for hours - Dont use it" about Similac Isomil Advance

Our baby was doing great with Similac Advanced but because of reviews on this website, we decided to give him Similac Isomil Advance. Guess what happened - constipation. Baby just kept on crying for hours - I couldn't see him crying so I called my doctor and learned that this product is not one of those good ones and is not suitable for all babies. For new born babies, in ths product, the % of iron is very high while babies' stomach is not ready for this. I would highly request others to avoid using this product on new borns.
...

MrsMillerTM says "It Smells Horrible!" about Similac Isomil Advance

I bought this formula because my six-week-old is very gassy and spits up a lot, which made me wonder if there was a lactose intolerance/milk allergy. The reviews here seemed promising, so I thought I'd give it a try. The smell alone is enough for me to stop using it after only a day. If your baby spits up frequently, the smell will get on their clothes, bibs and burp cloths. I have washed the bottles three times and they still smell. I have also read that babies who are allergic to milk-based formulas will most likely be allergic to soy formulas as well, not to mention that it's very, very unlikely for a baby to be lactose intolerant. Gas and spit-up alone are not enough to diagnose a milk allergy. BabyCenter.com is a great place to read more about it. I'm going back to using Enfamil A.R. Lipil for her spit-up, even though it's causing her gas, and using Mylicon drops at each feeding to ease it (they are safe enough for every feeding.)
...

Milk based formula didn't agree with my DD , it gave her very acid like diarrhea, with then gave her a awful rash, so our pediatrician recommended this, totally fix the problem with in 1 day 1/2, she doesn't spit up, no gas , good sleeper, NO DIARRHEA, We love it, it is kind of pricey, so i tried parents choice soy formula, i'll never do that again, that stuff did the opposite that it's supposed to do, palm olein oil is very constipating, some other name brand's have that in it to, but Similac doesn't use this as there base, so I'm sticking with Similac Isomil, I just wish they would make an organic one.
...

As a new Mom all I wanted to do was breastfeed. I went to classes, read all the books and bought all the supplies I would need to do it "right". Unfortunately my son had others plans when he came into the world 1 week late and required a 10 day stay in the NICU. My breastfeeding was put on standby and luckily the nurses in the NICU were able to feed him Similac Isomil Soy Formula when I was unable to feed him in the NICU. This formula was amazing. They tried him on another type of formula first, but switched him to Soy because it is better for babies with fussiness and gas. My sons gas issues went away and he is now as happy as a clam getting my milk and Similas as a supplement. The only downside to the formula is that in my opinion is smells! The powdered for is not nearly as bad as the ready-made though. Be careful with getting it on clothing too, it can stain your babies clothes, bibs, burp clothes and toys very fast. I find that washing with cold water right away...
...

When our baby was born i had planned to breastfeed from the start but some complications had arisen and breastmilk was still there, yet limited. So the hospital recommended supplementing with formula, preferably similac's formula. A few months later our son had some serious colic going on so we decided to switch to the Simila Isomil Advance formula. Seeing as how Similac is what the hospital recommends and is what they gave out when our baby was born, that gave me a real good reason to trust this formula brand from the start. But along with time and experience, using the Similac Isomil Advance formula proved to be very helpful indeed. It helped a whole lot with our sons colic, we used it along with other colic - tested products such as the Gerber Nuk Bottles. It also seemed to help his spit up quite a bit, of course he still does spit up as does any other baby in the world, its just what babies do. But with this formula it seems to have helped a lot, we have a much happier, and less fussy...
...

I have two children, one that is four years old and one that will be ten months old very soon. My son is the oldest and with him I did not have to deal with the reflux and gas, like my daughter has had to struggle with. She was eating every hour because she wasn't staying full because it all came back up shortly after she would drink a bottle. Before I started using Isomil Advance I was beginning to think I had a baby with colic. She would wake up at least three to four times a night. I started to feel like I forgot what sleep was. Once I switched to Isomil Advance I no longer had a problem with reflux, just the normal burping, and she became a much happier baby with a full belly. I would recommend this type of formula to anyone with an infant because not only can it help stop reflux but this type of soy formula is easier for babies to digest and it also helps illimate gas in the babies belly.
...

aspringer210 says "Similac Isomil Advance is the best formula on the market!" about Similac Isomil Advance

Similac Isomil Advance is the best formula for fussy babies who have gas and spit-up more frequently. From my experience the formula is smooth and is easy for even the youngest babies to drink. It doesn't seem chalky or get too many clumps in it as some other formulas do and make it difficult for babies to drink. The isomil formula helps sensitive tummies and is easier on babies developing digestive system. As a parent of a 5 month old with reflux, I have found comfort in this product actually helping his system and not making feeding time so hard. The convenient storage, scoop and easy to follow instructions on the label help when making bottles on the go. Similac is a trusted brand and is easily accesible in almost any store plus, if you register with the brand website, you will recieve $5.00 off coupons regularly in the mail which are a great help when times are tough and money is tight, but you only want the best for your little one!
...

When I had my son 2 years ago i used Isomil advance formula. he did great with this formula and he didnt spit up as much as other babies i know that are on regular formula. he wasnt as fussy either. it was very easy for him to transistion to milk when he was a year old. i had my daughter 10 months ago and she is on Isomil Advance formua. she isnt as fussy either. i have found out that this formula is easier on babies stomachs than the milk based formula. i have had great success with this formula with both of my kids. i would recommend this formula to people that have babies that are having trouble with milk based formulas. it cuts down on babies having gas. it cuts down the fussiness. its easier on their digestive system. For me to get my son to drink regular milk when he turned a year old was very easy. he took to milk very well and did not have a problem with drinking regular milk. he even drinks whole milk and is doing just fine. i like this formula and...
...

Being a mother of a two year old can be difficult at times, but being the mother of an infant is even harder. When my son was two weeks old he developed a problem of keeping food down. Naturally I tolld him to the pediatrician who prescribed him an acid reflex medicine. When that showed no sign of helping him, we began changing formulas. After several wasted cans at $20 plus a can I discovered Similac Isomil Soy Formula. It took about a week but by 4 weeks my son was finally gaining much needed weight. It turns out he was lactose intolerant. It's a very helpless feeling when your newborn is unable to tell you how he's feeling. Luckily with the Similac soy formula my son was able to keep food down and grow progressively. We were able to eliminate and fix his problem. Now he has outgrown his problem and is able to drink real milk, but without the help of Similac he would have been down a long road of problem. I would recommend this formula to anyone.
...

my baby was bf for the first 6 mo. she has eczema and is allergic to eggs. she was then introduced to formula. similac advanced was the only one she would take...we tried both good start and enfamil. they both taste absolutely gross (i tried before giving her) we slowly integrated formula into her diet. she was half half towards the end of her 6mo. for the past 2 weeks, of her 5-6 meals, only one was breast milk. she became irritable, cranky, and would always grunt and pout. she was so unhappy and it made my husband and i very sad. i thought she was just teething or going through a phase. she was very hard to deal with. it then accurred to us it could be the formula. we switched to soy similac and immediately noticed a difference. she was back to her normal happy self. apparently the milk based formula was tooo much for her poor tummy. it just wasn't digesting well. before we went for alimentum we thought we'd try soy. we're so glad to have our happy baby back!
...

When my daughter was born, I wanted to give her the best nutrition possible, since I was not able to nurse I was looking for a really good formula. I wanted to find something that was nutriously balanced and so healthy for her first months of life. The Similac Isomil Soy Infant Formula was just what I was looking for, it contained the vitamins and nutrients that she needed along with the benefits of soy and was so gentle on her tummy. As a result she was less fussy, did not have alot of gas and was able to digest this really well. I believe giving my baby the nutrients that she needed made her more aware of her surroundings, curious and more engaging, her body wasn't out of balance trying to deal with digestion and an upset tummy, she was able to explore in her environment. Good, solid well balanced nutrition is one of the most important elements of life that we can give our children to start in this world. Good nutrition is vital for the mind and the body and I felt comforted knowing...
...
