I like my sharp microwave because it is pretty big. I like that it doesn't take very long to warm up food. I has quite a few options of how one can cook or heat food. What I don't like is that while heating food it is quite noisy. makes a muffled roaring sound and when closing the door on it, its also noisy. I wish it was a quieter version of it. I have noticed that it has lasted for 3 years so that says a little about the quality. I am not sure how long a microwave should last but it has been maintaining just as if it was bought yesterday. I would like for it to have a little bit more options than it has. I am the type that loves to cook, but if I could take a shortcut then I would. and I want a nice helper (microwave). I have not come across a quiet microwave yet but if this one was then it would pretty close to being all that I need. It is large in space and seems to be a good value for the cheap price. I have not had it long enough to see how well it lasts.

I have had my Sharp Microwave for several years and it works just great. It is large enough for most dishes. I love the defrost setting, because I often forget to take some meat out of the freezer. This really saves time and money for me. The Sharp Microwave Oven 530EK comes in handy for the person that can't seem to live without a microwave. It is great when you are in a hurry to get dinner on the table. A microwave helps the working mother or father when they are late getting dinner out and on the table. It is also great for snacks at night while watching the late night movie cause you can just put in a bag of microwave popcorn and zap it. In no time you are back in front of the TV and you have your popcorn with you. It is also great to just warm up some foods for a snack. I also like the fact that it is easy to clean, just wipe it out and go. The turntable makes the heating and defrosting even.

I recomment this microwave for anyone, especially a single person with no time for the standard way of cooking on a stovetop or even conventional oven. This has many advantages. You can thaw out frozen foods when you forgot to take something out the freezer. You can heat up TV dinners. You can even bake a cake in a microwave. No wonder American women can't survive without a microwave these days in their kitchens.

When moving into our new house we wanted the same Sharp Microwave oven as we had previously for 5 years. Of course we had no choice but to buy the newest model.

How disappointed we are. The numbers and settings are all on the side of the oven. The door needs to be opened to use them. The start and stop buttons, at least, are on the outside. It doesn't sound like much but it can honestly be quite annoying.

The settings for popcorn and reheating work very very well.

We did have to have service twice when we first got this appliance because of sparks coming out of the side (!) We really wanted a new unit but couldn't do it so we had to make do with repairs on a new appliance.

I use my sharp microwave everyday. I have learned to cook meals in it and it does a great job. It is an all around appliance and invaluable to me. I replace my sharp immediately when I wear one out with another sharp and the quality and options just get better and better....

i love my microwave. its great and it didnt even cost me anything. i used to work at an apartment complex and someone who moved out left it. so i was the lucky one who got it and boy did i need it. i use a microwave so much more now. never thought i would use it so much and it still works wonderful....

I've had my Sharp Microwave for 10 years and it works just as good as the day I bought it. It has so many extra's on it that it covers any kind of cooking you want. I love the minute plus button on it, just one click and you have boiling water for hot tea, warm up a cup of coffee that has gotten cool. It not only has automatic defrost but you can also defrost by the type of food you want to defrost and it will automatically defrost it just by the type of food and the pounds you want defrosted. I've cooked roasts, hens, hams. I've barbecued in it. I have never been more satisfied with a microwave as I am with the Sharp microwave. I give it 5 stars.....

This large Sharp microwave Model 530EK 1200 watt oven works well. easy to use, and clean, because of it's large size, and handy cooking modes. I got this oven from Sear's in Redding CA on day a young pleasant salesperson that is 50/50 chance when shopping there.When I picked it out, the salesman went back to check on supply and when he came back, he said that they only had one, and it was a return, because when the previous customer got it home and opened the box, and decided it was the wrong color for ther kitchen, and returned it back for credit.The salesman said, if we would settle for a returned item, he would give us a 10% discount ,as well as discount, for last one in the store. We have been happy with it's cooking ever since....
