DFGirlTristaLou says "Can't think of anything bad about this microwave." about Sharp Carousel

I've had this microwave for a couple of years now and it still works well. I haven't had any problems with it. I can't see anything that I would change about it either. It was one of the cheaper models we looked at and I am pretty sure we chose it because it was the cheapest. I believe it came in black and whit and we chose black. we liked that we had an option in colors and black and white were safe colors for them to offer. It has the carousel plate that spins your food while it cooks and I love that. The plate easily comes out and is washable. I love that. The controls I think took me awhile to get used to, but over all were simple. I think I just had a hard time for the first few days since I had gotten so used to the microwave we owned before. It also has pre settings for things like popcorn and defrost and also settings for reheating common food items and settings to cook common food items. Then there are short cut setting to melt, soften, and warm.

It was also a good size. it doesn't...
...

dmdifalco says "Sharp Carousel is the Largest Microwave on The Market" about Sharp Carousel

Sharp's Carousel Over the Range Microwave is the largest of it's kind. Located behind the oven door (out of sight) is auto touch control panel. The turntable is close to 15" around which I throughly enjoy when keeping family dinner's warm when I am expecting lots of company. It also has a lot of sensor features included in English, Spanish or French...Just in case I hire a cook! Honestly, I've never seen so many options available. It's real important to sit down and read the manual though because you just can't figure out how to use everything unless you do. The reason I know is because I tried and failed a few times. Take time to read the booklet and in a few weeks practice will make perfect! I use it everyday now for defrosting and warming dishes. I was thrilled that I could put a couple dinner plates in at the same time the other day. I never could have done this with prior microwaves. They all were just too small!
...

I enjoy using my sharp carousel, I have found that the coast is not to much..The sharp carousel has been proven to be a good product to own. i rally enjoy having it for movie nightwhen I have to pop bags of popcorn ,it saves me time instead of digging the popcorn maker its also comes in handy when heating leftovers up. I use my sharp carousel daily. The Sharp Carousel dose not take up alot of space.I have used the sharp carousel for a couple of years, and I would not trade it in for one that coast alot of money. I also like the idea of the sharp carousel in a couple of colors, White or black,I have a black and it dose not show kids handprints on the door or top.I give this porduct a 2 thumbs up.
...

This microwave is pretty good for warming up leftovers. It leaves a little to be desired, however when making popcorn. Every bag I have fixed never pops completely, and when I add additional time it usually burns.
...

Model number 230K (black)

Several years ago I had a small microwave with one power level and no carousel. When I decided to donate my current, family size microwave and buy a small replacement I was in for a big surprise. The Sharp Carousel is only .8 cubic feet in size and 800 watts but, as the name implies, has a carousel and multiple power levels although I have never used any setting but HIGH as it is perfect for reheating beverages, melting cheese, etc. It is very easy to use, plug it in, follow the simple instructions for setting the clock, and it's ready to go. It has some features others might dislike but I find them either unimportant or an advantage. For instance:

The clock does not light up. This does not matter to me as I never use it to tell time, I prefer my oven clock.
The light does not come on except when the microwave is in use. On my old microwave sometimes it would have been more convenient to leave the door open but the light came on when the door was open.
At the bottom......
