Right now I am on my second Sharp Carousel 700-watt microwave oven. After getting about 3 years of use from the first one, some of the numbers on the keypad quit working - for instance, i had to set it for 60 seconds if I wanted a minute because the "1" stopped working. I gave it away to a friend who was willing to put up with it. Liking the size and features, I got another of the same brand and model. I've had this microwave for about 3 years, too, and so far have had no problem with the numbers dying on me, so the first one may have been defective. The Sharp Carousel does everything I want a microwave oven to do, which is mostly to heat water for my morning tea and to heat frozen dinners and reheat leftovers. I don't do much more in a microwave oven except to make baked potatoes, and for this I much prefer it over using a conventional oven, as it keeps the skin from getting crunchy. For this, the Sharp Carousel does a perfect job.
...

I owned a larger size Sharp Microwave that my sister gave me. And I absolutely loved it, however, as we have little room in our kitchen I gave the large Sharp Microwave to my son-in-law and daughter. They absolutely love that one. And I knew I wanted a smaller version of what I had. So wallah, I had my sister go shopping for me(as I couldn't do it) and she bought me the smaller size Sharp Microwave Carousel. It is just wonderful. Has all the bells and whistles I need. I would recommend Sharp brand over most of those out there. I have used other brands and am more then very satisfied with Sharp....
