Two years ago I purchased the shark 3 speed sweeper for my summer home, that unfortunately, has been discontinued. I loved it. This year I purchased the two speed sweeper for my permanent home. It is horrible compared to the three speed. It dumps back on the floor almost as much as it picks up. I would not recommend, and hope Shark brings back it's 3 speed sweeper.

For someone whose biggest mess is dropping the powder from a powdered doughnut on the floor or possibly some crumbs, this Shark Carpet Sweeper may work out well.

If you have pets and kids, I do not recommend this sweeper. It doesn't pick up pet hair or thick crumbs from cats shedding and kids dropping crumbs everywhere.

In my experience, it didn't do what it advertised to do. It is lightweight, electric and has a folding handle. That much is true. The cleaning capacity wasn't what it should have been though.

The battery power is decent. It will run as long as most people would need it to when the battery is fully charged.

I think it is fine for hard floors but since it is aimed at carpet, I can't recommend it for its intended purpose. I was very disappointed based on its performance and don't think it was worth the cost.

I would compare it to a much cheaper off-brand sweeper and find it hard to believe Shark couldn't do better. I wish it had been as functional...

The infomercial for this product made it seem so wonderful. I was happy with it for about 3 weeks. But the vacuum can't hold a good enough charge to vacuum the whole house anymore (and I have a fairly small home). Not pleased with this product anymore. And still need to use my other vacuum to still pick up messes!

The Shark cordless sweeper keeps its promises. This easy and lightweight vaccum is perfect for quick and effortless pick ups. For example, cat litter is always being spread around in my house and this unit does a very respectable job of picking it up. Other uses include spills in the kitchen and other rooms in the house that don't require lugging out the big unit. Also this vaccum works well on outside porches and other areas that have no power plugs nearby. It is lightweight and goes under couches or chairs with ease. The vaccum tray is easy to remove and replace. I sometimes am amazed at what it grabs from the seemingly clean floors. I would reccomend this unit to anyone who has an animal. In addition, it is great for dorm rooms or small apts that need an occasional cleaning....

This is wonderful for picking up pet hair. Even vacuuming with a commerical upright, the Shark will still pick up more dog hair. The best thing I have found so far for this. So if you have pets you definetely need a Shark.

Once you put the handle together it is there to stay. Wanted to shorten it for my little granddaugher because she loves it too, but couldn't. Might have to buy a second and not make the handle grown up sized. She would love it!

Originally, I purchased the Shark Carpet Sweeper for a part-time job - Office Cleaning. The carpets are flat, short carpets and do not get very dirty. So, I thought that it would save my back, instead of lugging around a heavy, full size vacuum cleaner. It's Fabulous!! I do use a regular vacuum once a week for a deeper cleaning, but for the rest of the week I use my Shark. It gets close to the wall (side brush) on hardfloors and carpet, so hallways stay clean without having to sweep everyday. It worked so good, that I now take it home and use it there too. My co-workers saw me carrying the Shark back and forth to work, and THREE of them have purchased one. They all use it at work and at home! It saves time because it's cordless and it's a light, easy to use tool - We love our Shark!...

I recently bought The Shark to replace my Dustbuster stick vacuum (which was a great idea but never really worked all that well). We have our house for sale and I don't have time with 2 kids, a husband, a cat and a full time job to vacuum every day. I do use The Shark every day though to quickly go over the tile floors especially around the cat box. I like that it's quiet, light, easy to empty, and holds a charge for a long time. This little sweeper is so fun to use that my 9 year old actually wants to help clean. I also like that it stands on it's own and you don't have to prop it up against anything. It was also inexpensive. Just don't expect it to deep clean your carpets and you should be very satisfied with The Shark. ...

I don't know if this is the one I have. It was purchased by my father off an infommercial on tv and he rec'd 2 for the price of 1 so he gave me one. I guess it's ok.

We have mostly wood floors and for whatever reason it appears that we have ALOT of dirt, I was hoping this would take the place of my electric sweeper since it is more manueverable and quiet. The problem is, it just doesn't do a good job. It will pick up some of the dirt but I can watch it just kind of spin the dust bunnies around and throw them on the floor. I have to empty it alot since it doesn't hold alot of stuff. The upside of this is that it's easy to empty---has a "hands-free" mechanism that work pretty well. I will use it under the highchair after my daughter has had her cheerio feast and it will not pick up the cheerios??!!!!

I think that for the money, this is not worth it.

With four kids, three cats and a busy life, anything to make life a little neater is welcome!

The Shark sweeper has been a wonderful product for just this purpose. It is obviously not going to do the job of a 'real' vacuum but for those quick pickups in between vacuuming, its perfect! I really have not found many things it will not pick up. I use it in my kitchen and living room on an almost daily basis.

I am actually on my second Shark... my first died after a few years of heavy use. I tried to replace it with another product but in the end, I wound up buying another Shark because the other product was just not living up to my expectations. And when the day comes that this Shark dies (which I'm sure it will.. for under $50, you cannot expect it to last a lifetime!), I am sure I will buy another!

I bought this item to try and help keep my hardwood and rug swept up between vacuums. This sweeper really doens't pick up anything at all, the bin gets full quickly and it the entire product feels flimsy. I ended up getting rid of it after trying it multiple times in a month or so. It is more of a hassle then getting my vacuum out. ...

I HATE sweeping, and with tile floors and area rugs throughout the house it's like that was all I am doing! Now I spend about 10 minutes a day tidying up and 'sweeping' the floor with the Shark! This is something you have to HAVE if you have kids, pets and teenagers of all sizes tracking in dirt, sand and numerous other outside disturbances!...

When I first received this cleaner I wasn't very impressed. My apartment at the time only had area rugs and this thing shredded one of them, so I just used it on the floors. Needless to say when I moved into an apartment with 75% carpeting I was hesitant to use it. When my heavy-duty vacuum broke I had to choice. I LOVED it!!! On actual carpeting this thing was amazing! I haven't used my regular vac since then.

What I like about it:

Light weight
Catch tray easy to dump
No cord to get in the way or limit where you can go
Can use on floor as well as carpet
Quieter so it doesn't scare my infant son
Picks up lint and dirt on the surface with one swipe

What I don't:

Doesn't pick up dirt that travels below the surface
Initial charge time was tease when all I wanted to do was use it

All in all I would definately recommend this vaccuum to anyone!

I am the proud owner of my second Shark. The first one was destroyed in a tornado and it was one of the first things I put on my Christmas list. It is lightweight and easy to use, plus it picks up very well. I own several horses, so I'm always tracking in hay. My Shark picks it right up (even better than my regular vacuum cleaner!). It is much quicker and more convenient to use than a regular vacuum due to it's cordless design....

I've had 3 of the Shark Sweepers and they are very convenient and inexpensive. Some models have a brush for getting into corners and this is a big plus, because the models without it do not pickup close to the wall as easily. This vacuum does well enough on area rugs, but I wouldn't recommend it to someone with only carpet flooring. The only other drawback I've had, is with the rechargeable batteries. My first Shark stopped charging after 3 months, the second after 6 months. I've had my latest for a year and use it daily, but it also is beginning to not hold a charge as well. I have followed the directions and run the battery down before charging, but this doesn't seem to work in all cases. Overall I do recommend this vacuum; just don't expect it to be with you more then a few years....
