I purchased my Select Comfort Sleep Number bed (#5000 King, adjustable) for $4739, Sept06.

July08, I had to replace the pump system (digital display wasn't showing all the units). Luckily, the full warranty was in effect so it cost $0.

May09, I had to replace one of the adjustable motors and while the motor was still under warranty, the labor to install it was not. Shipping ($11) / Labor ($250).

June09, I discovered the digital display wasn't showing all the units again. Customer service told me they'd have to replace the pump system and although it was less than a year since they replaced it the last time, the warranty defaulted back to the original purchase, not the replacement date. Therefore, this would cost me $126!

In just 2-1/2 years, I've pumped an additional $400 into my $4700 Sleep Number Bed!

We bought the top of the line Select Comfort Sleep Number 9000 kingsize after trying it out in the store. Spent over $5,000. At the time it seemed like the right bed for us. After delivery one of the airchambers leaked so they hd to send a replacemnt. for that they extended the warranty period an additional 30 days. My husband slept on the bed for 1 week then moved to another bedroom. He did not like the bed and could not find a number he was comfortable at. In the store we were told the air system was "whisper" quiet. Well, it is not. Makes a lot of noise when you add or let our air. Lots of clicks. Also, we were not told when there are changes in the atmospheric conditions, the air chambers would either increase or decrease. Ours went up as much as 15 points or down as much as 10 points.. With the noisy air pump with both of us being in the bed we could not use it or we would wake the other during the night. Next, the workmanship of the bed itself is very cheaply made. For the price......

Select Comfort Bed is a bed worth all your money. My husband and I have bad backs and this is the only bed that will ease the pain at night to allow us to sleep at night. It is an investment for you to purchase, one that you will not regret in purchasing. I highly recomend this bed for anyone's comfort.

My wife and I purchased this mattress and it was a good choice. You can adjust how firm or soft that you want your side. When we were looking for a new mattress we couldn't agree on firm , soft etc. Now we can adjust our own side to the firmness or softness that we want . My wife at first thought that she wanted a firm mattress for her back . After sleeping on a high number for a few months , she changed her side to a softer setting and discovered that her back feels better on a softer setting. If we purchased a regulsr mattress --firm like she wanted- we would have been stuck with a firm mattress....

I was skeptical of Select Comfort at first, because like so many other things it seemed "gimicky". And with all the infomercials I had to go see for myself.

I am a school teacher, on my feet continually all day long, and needed a great mattress that would provide support and a good night's sleep. With so many other mattresses, I was going to sleep in pain and waking up with a sore back.

I tried the floor models in the Select Comfort store and was so satisfied with the product and its 30 day guarantee that I purchased one. I also liked the opportunity to choose which model was right for me.

Delivery and setup was done very professionally and I have been satisfied ever since. I even purchased a smaller version (full size) for my guest bedroom.
