This site maybe my new online best friend to visit before booking air travel. This site has all of the seating, for all of the airlines, for all of their planes, with all the pluses and minuses in regards to seating that open in a balloon when you click on the seat your thinking about booking.

Want to make sure you have a clear view of the in-flight movie? Do you need to make sure that there is ample storage space underneath your seat for carry-ons? Do you want to make sure you avoid sitting amongst the lavatory line while hurling through the air? Do you want to make sure that window seat you booked actually has a window? Some don't. Do you need to have storage space onboard for a stroller, or need easy access to the facilities onboard? Do you want to sit far away from the flight attendants so you don't have to listen to them complain? If so, this site is a must for perusing before you book.

Firstly, you need to know which flight you want to take and the aircraft...
...

So you are on a flight nonstop from Atlanta to Maui which is 11 hours. You can only afford coach, so you want the best location to sit. No stink from toilets or galley, no people standing on your feet waiting in line for the lav, no chilly air coming from 30,000 feet in the air. I have used this site for years. I know every plane type, best seats such as bulkhead with the movie screen right in front of you and plenty of legroom. Seat Guru has it.

They have color co-orinated seat maps telling you the best, the regular, and the worst & what is wrong with them. This will make for a much more enjoyable flight.

They also clue you in, especially when you are meeting a cruise ship, and the plane you are booked on only has 40 seats & carryon is not allowed with the people inside the plane, so it is checked. Thus the checked baggage won't be making it with you, so you can change the flight without a fee since you didn't appect it from. the agent you are getting back to.

They also have...
...

I've used this site several times when planning my travels . What a great way to figure out if you need/want to change your seat. Even better....plan ahead of time before you book your flight. I found the information to be accurate and helpful. One thing you need ahead of time is the type of plane you will be on! ...

Tired of discovering you're in the exit row? Wonder where the power ports are on your flight? How about some extra leg room or a seat that reclines? Treat yourself and visit SeatGuru.com before selecting seats for your next flight!

SeatGuru is the ultimate source of airline information, with more than 250 airplane seat maps for more than 40 different airlines. There are also comparison charts and articles along with information and links regarding airline policies and programs.

Site navigation is a little confusing - select your aircraft type from the dropdown menu that will appear on the left, after you select your airline - but once you get used to that feature the information given can prove invaluable.

The Bottom Line:
This site has made being crammed into coach seating much more bearable for me. Don't fly without it!

...
