The Kit

The start-up kit contains the holder for a 32oz bottle of scrubbing bubbles solution, 2 full size bottles of original scent cleaner, which you replace not refill, four AA batteries and a sample bathroom wipe as a promo for another product.

Ecological disaster

The refill bottles are actually replacement bottles, not a master large size refill jug. This necessitates the disposal of the empty "refill" bottles. If your community or apartment complex has a recycling program then the bottles can be recycled. If not, then they become garbage and end up in landfill. This is not an earth friendly product, since I would guess that at least 75% of the empty bottles end up in landfill.

I got the Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner on the advice of my mother who buys every gadget possible to save time. I have to admit I was thrilled with the purchase after the first week. See there's 3 teenage boys in our house which equals 21 plus showers a week with them alone. Our shower was beginning to look like the before adds in the cleaner commercials. I spent 2 to 3 nights bent over the tub and shower scrubbing it down until it was fit to clean their bodies. I wouldn't even dream of a bubble bath. The Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner was simple enough to use that the last one out of a night pushed the button and let it do its thing. Like I said after the first week I noticed a remarkable improvement. The tub looked as if I had just cleaned it each day. It's amazing how my back appreciates the little relief from scrubbing. After six months of use, my routine now consists of changing the refill pack and giving the shower/tub a thorough hand scrubbing once a month....

I had wanted to buy one of these for a while and went to walmart to go buy one and hit it lucky in finding a 3 dollars off coupon. I got the scrubbing bubbles shower cleaner and hooked it up in my shower and poked the button and it did make a lot of noise and spray that cleaning liquid alllll over the shower. It made the shower smell fairly decent, and I haven't had any mildue or mold issues since I got it. I need my shower very clean because it seems to get mold/mildu fast. We have a high humidity level here and it's hard to keep up with at times. I like this product for the most part. I don't regret buying it. I would recommend it to friends for sure. I wish it sprayed a little more, and din't have to go under the shower it's self. I ended up nailing it to the back side of the shower because I can't put my shower caddy on if the scrubbing bubbles are on.

Purchased 2 of the units - placed one in each bathroom. First machine would not work at all, 2nd machine worked for 3 days. Replaced batteries, etc. In the 2 days the 2nd machine worked all that we saw were streaks of dull white. Messy, low quality, unreliable items. Contacted the company regarding the product - was told a replacement coupon was on its way - never received. Returned the 1st machine to the store on the same day as purchase - received the 3rd machine, it too stopped working after 5 days. Unable to get either working again. Have again notified the company. Do not purchase this product. The idea is good but the product and the machine ARE NOT!!...

I hate to just totally trash a product, even if it doesn't live up to expectations. So, to make myself feel better, here are the positive aspects of Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner. The dispenser was easy to install, easy to operate, and the actual cleaner (and I use that term loosely) had a pleasant scent. We never have had an issue with mildew in our shower, I just wanted to be able to go a little longer without cleaning it. Boy did I get the bad end on that. We used it daily for 3 weeks, and we had ridiculous amounts of mildew. It was almost as if it promoted mildew growth. We used it in a stall type shower (no tub) so it was able to reach all the corners of our shower. The dispenser is a bit loud, and takes up a lot of space. I ended up having to purchase a cleaner (Tilex Mildew Root) which did work like it said it would. Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner totally did not work as expected, so I took advantage of the money back guarantee and got...

i love this cleaner! it was so easy to clean the shower after i sprayed it. i just wiped all the soap scum right off. i have used many cleaners in the past but this has been the best!!!! even my son did not complain when he had to clean his bathroom. he hates to clean the shower, most of the time he just does not do it, but i sprayed the cleaner and it wiped off so easy. thank you

I love the way Scrubbing Bubbles automatic shower cleaner smells, and it really does kill mildew in grout. But it's an expensive commitment. I could live with the initial expense of buying the unit, but the refills will kill your wallet, especially if you use the product every day.

I've been trying to come up with a "recipe" for a homemade substitute for the refill. So far, I have managed to make a shower cleaning solution that's probably 90% as good, but costs less than half...so I am using that now.

I really wish SC Johnson would lower the price of the refills. As a former student of Economics, I know that a company can often make more money by lowering the price of their product. Apparently the price-setters at SD Johnson never studied Ecomonics.

Other than the price of the refills, Scrubbing Bubbles automatic shower cleaner is a wonderful product. It's certainly a time-saver and it smells fantastic.

One of the most used hygeine tools in this house is the shower. We have a farm. Dirty is our job. Everything we do lands us in the shower. The Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner has reduced the time I spend cleaning the bathroom by enough time to warrant the cost in our case. For the average person, it may be considered a bit high in the price range given how many uses each container holds. My time is valuable and scarce. I had used the foaming cleaner for years and this last year discovered the automatic cleaner which has become a fixture. My husband is worse than me at accumulating funk and it is a rule now that he push that button! It does however smell icky, and it does not perform miracles like never having to clean the shower again, but it does help.

I had signed up for the Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner. I have not received it yet. But I am still very excited. As I love the Scrubbing Bubbles shower & tub spray. Of course up on hearing I was accepted in to the campaign, I immediately had to tell a couple people about it. One of the people I called was my mother who lives out of state. She doesn't have a computer but she knows all about Buzz Agent. As she is the first person I call about it. I told mom that I was accepted for the new campaign. She told me that was great news as she knows it is a product I have really been wanting to try. This of course brought on questions from her. Like how does it work, would this mean less stress on my bad leg when cleaning, will it be worth the cost, is there a strong odor when being used, do you have to clean the shower before hand? Yes, she asked me this many questions. I explained to my mom that when you use Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner it cleans the shower with in days....

My husband bought the Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner for me to help cut down my cleaning time. I think that this is good for daily use to help maintain a clean shower, but you still have to give the shower a good scrub before you install the cleaner and then you still need to occasionally clean the bottom of the shower and the shower door if you have glass doors. I must admit we had quite a bit of hard water build up on our glass doors and the shower cleaner has not cut through it as much as I would like it too. I do like the fresh scent.

i really like my scrubbing bubbles shower cleaner because now that i'm up in age a bit, it really helps me keep my shower cleaner without all the bending i used to have to do. i cant clean as well as i used to when i was younger, so i do recommend it for people that need help in cleaning.

As a self-confessed neat freak who hates to clean, I was beyond excited when I was chosen to receive the Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner through my involvement with BzzAgent.com.

The Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner has been on the market for at least two years so my updated version contains a "New Better Cleaning Formula!" and an additional 40% more soap scum fighters too. Woo hoo!

My Scrubbing Bubbles package contained one dual sprayer cleaning unit and one bottle of cleaning solution. The cleaning unit requires 4 AA alkaline batteries which were NOT included. The instructions were easy to understand and I had the cleaning unit and solution assembled and installed in mere minutes.

The cleaning unit is SO easy to use. You basically push the time delay start button, close your shower curtain or door (while you remain on the OUTSIDE of the shower!), and wait for the sprayer to begin working it's magic. The sprayer rotates for 12 seconds and viola,...

What a ripoff. I purchased the Scrubbling Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner and was disappointed from the first use. The button was awkward and I almost never got it to work...my husband figured out some trick, but I never got the hang of it. We used it following the instructions; my shower was clean to begin with and it did nothing to keep it any cleaner than when I did my regular scrubbing. I still had to use regular Scrubbing Bubbles Foaming cleaner to get soap scum and water spots off. It takes up too much space in the shower, especially if you use a caddy that hangs from the shower head. I have started using Tub and Tile from Melaleuca, which is a non-caustic cleanser and removes stains I haven't been able to get out of the tub since I bought my house almost a year ago. The smell of the spray isn't too bad, but that one feature that I can tolerate does not make this worth any more. Don't waste your money on this product.
