One of the others said this is the best car on the planet. I agree whole-heartedly!

I have two sons over 6'2" tall. They can sit in the BACK seat with plenty of head and knee room.

I get claustrophobia and this has lots of big windows that I can see out of, despite my shortness!

With bad knees, I appreciate that I don't have to climb up or down to get in, I just slide on over. And with a bad back, there is enough back support that even long trips have never bothered me.

I get 38 miles to the gallon highway. Unless I use ethanol gas. Then it drops to 28! In two years I put 70,000 miles on this car.

Okay, I live in the hills, and when I go uphill, I have to move the little panel in the floor and run like Fred Flintstone. (just kidding - but there isn't a lot of power on hills) But I don't care because it still makes it up the hill and I'm in no hurry.

It has LOTS of personality. So much that my first thought was that I would never be caught dead in it. But now it has grown on me big...
...

I bought my 2006 Scion xB as a used car about six months ago. It is maroon and it is a manual shift. It does not have a lot of bells and whistles, but it does have power windows, a CD player, and AC. I usually only drive around within a 5 minutes radius of my home, but I have taken it as far as one and a half hours away. The only thing I miss from my previous cars is a GPS, which I could add if I wanted to. This small car gets around 27 mpg around town, which is much better than the 19 mpg my previous car got! It's really cute and I really like its simplicity. It's very comfortable and easy to maneuver, especially when parking! Our other family car is a mini-van, so I have to be careful when I park to make sure I'm cognizant of what car I'm in!!

My Scion is the "old" design, which is more boxy than the latest design, but I prefer that. The newer ones look kind-of like a PT cruiser. But I like my little box. It does everything I need!

I got an used xb last year and LOVE it! Living in LA, parking spaces can be tiny, and this thing can get in any super compact space. has great fgas mileage, and low maintenance costs. Also is a great ride on the freeway, and has an amazing tunrning radius.
...

I have a hard time finding anything to criticize about my Scion XB. The capacity for hauling "stuff" is much greater then my old Jeep Liberty, and even a 6'5" friend commented about the generous passenger space. It appeals to my asthetic sensibilities, my pocket book, both for it's starter car list price, and for it's great gas mileage (I get 32 MPG), I managed to find a car with just 2,000 miles which had been purchased by the dealer, and got nearly $2,000 off list price! Before I purchased the car, I went on line and looked for reviews about the car...the greatest concern I had was pick-up based on the reviews...I don't feel safe in a car that doesn't have get-up-and-go and the Scion XB has not failed me yet. I also always worry about that "tin-ey" feeling in small cars...but the feel is very solid....

As a family of 4, we needed a practical, fuel-efficient, fun car and the Scion xB fits the bill perfectly! We liked it so much in fact, that we bought a second one! We have since added another child to the family and have taken our Scions on several road trips. Inside it's extremely spacious with more rear seat leg, shoulder and head room than most full-size SUV's.

I average 28 MPG and run the AC nearly all the time....

If I wanted to drive a box to work I would cut out window holes and wheel wells and ride a bike. This has got to be the ugliest car on the road. Sure its got internally good features, but many cars have the same thing all the while not looking like a box riding on donuts. No matter what you paint on it or how you try to soup it up, its still an asthetically ugly car....

I love this car ,

I went from a full sized family Van to the scion and every one fits . My son is tall and fits in this car with out hitting his head . We fit four adult men and me driving comfortably . She is not a hybrid but the gas mileage is great . Great on the highway Fast . some problems with up hill . Also watch the paint The metal fleck paint gets hot in the summer . should have gotten flat color . Recommend tinting the windows also . The heater and air work well .

I have recomended this car to friends ,
...

THIS CAR IS AMAZING!!! We live in Key West so we do mostly city driving and we get 40 mpg without ever hitting 40 mph. I just took a 5,000 mile trip from Key West to Wisconsin and back and had narry a problem. It looks grrrreat, too! I recommend this car for everyone. I've carried 4' by 8' sheets in the back even....

I love having unique, fun cars and this sure is one. When I first saw it I thought there was no way that I would be interested in purchasing it. It is the first car that I have owned that my husband could comfortably travel in. The bonus was that it got good gas milage too.

Previous to this car we had always traveled in his truck that gets 17 mpg. :( The back seat is so roomy even when the front seat is back the furthest it can go.

I previously owned a VW beetle. It was difficult to get the grandchildren buckled in with a two door vehicle. This is perfect and they love it. They call it the bus.

...

I wasn't looking for a car when I stumbled onto this one. As a matter of fact, I'd thought the Scions were rather funny looking, and I couldn't imagine EVER wanting to drive one. But, I went with a friend to look at cars one day (for her) and she asked me if I'd seen how roomy those 'ice cream truck' cars were. I was less than interested until she told me that the base price of the vehicle was less than $13,500. "Okay, I'll look" I said, rather excitedly. I took it for a ride and was amazed! It handled very smoothly, turned on a dime, took off with little coaxing and above all else, was extremely comfortable and roomy. I fell in love with it....and traded in my Nissan the next day! It's been over a year and I am still excited to jump in and take it for a ride. As a matter of fact, I actually look forward to my work commute these days. This is a fun ride, AND economical! I get about 32 miles a gallon city and highway. WOW! It sure is funky looking even for an older...
...
