I love this car. It is sports car with plenty of room. It can hold a family of 4 or haul large things. It is great on gas , I drove from upstate by to south Carolina and only had to fill up once in between. It is my 3rd Saturn and I haven,'t had problems with any of them.(knock on wood), if that will help who knows...LOL. Love Saturn!...

The Saturn Ion 2004 is a great car with a very unique design. It gets great mileage and is easy to drive but has some strange features. The steering wheel is tiny, and the battery is in the trunk. Overall, I would definitrely recommend this to a friend....

stacirocket says "Great car, but boring" about Saturn Ion 2 Quad - 2004

I purchased a Saturn Ion 2 Quad after surviving a terrible head on collision in a Saturn SC1 Coupe, I KNEW I would never drive anything other than a Saturn again. That car saved my life. I loved that car and was devistated to learn they discontinued them when I had to replace it following the collision.

I settled for this model, as there was nothing else to choose from other than a sedan and the little SUV.

I did like the placement of the instrument panel but that is the most exciting thing about this car. After the inititial adjustment, it is very convenient as the panel is always in the perifural vision, yet not as a distraction. You do not have to drop your eye to check speed, gas, etc. Runs great, no major repairs and the mileage is comparable to other makes and models of its size.

I wish this car had been sportier.

The extra "third door" is cool as it is wonderful for loading and unloading just about anything.

Still not too much leg room in the rear for humans, but the cargo space......

Anathema says "Good value for the price" about Saturn Ion 2 Quad - 2004

The 2004 Saturn Ion 2 is a great value for the price. It's an extemely reliable, low-maintenence vehicle with great mileage. The passenger compartment is nice and roomy, although the seats in the back can be a bit uncomfortable during long road trips. It's got nice acceleration, unlike a lot of other similarly marketed cars. The stero is great too! The center placement of the dash panels is unusual at first but now I love it. My only complaint is that this is a noisy car, particulary on the highways....

Since I began driving when I was 16 I've probabley have bought eighteen new vehicles. Usually I trade every year or two because of the problems or I just got bored with the vehicle. I bought my Saturn Ion 2 early in 2004 and have been wowed with it ever since. It has been one of the best care free, economical, and fun to drive vehicles I've ever owned. That includes both foreign and domestic auto's. My wife would like me to get a new convertible, but I just can't bare to part with this car. I told her we will save up and buy the convertible, but I'm going to keep this car. I think it is destined to be one of the best classic cars ever....
