My husband had gotten into running last year, and for Christmas expressed that he wanted an mp3 player. I did a LOT of research, read reviews online and spoke with friends who had various different players. I considered the ipods but when I found out that if you have an ipod/itunes on your computer ... you can't use any other mp3 players with that computer anymore. That wouldn't have been a big deal except that we have two boys who also LOVE to listen to music and I wasn't going to invest into an ipod for them while they are in elementary school.

The Sansa e260 is SO very easy to use, it offers wonderful features including not only mp3s but viewing photos, watching short video clips, listening to the radio (and has great reception even inside an office building). The unit has a lot of accessories available (arm bands, covers and the like) so you aren't limited at all in how you want to use it, and it is VERY easy to connect to the computer and sync.

My daughters have gone though quite mp3 players an the San Disk - Sansa e 300 mp3player was on sale so I went ahead an got 2 one for each daughter an they were easy to understand the girls had no trouble with there players at all as a matter of fact I went out an bought me one to an love it when i am on the computer thats what I listen

The Sansa e260 MP3 player is a great affordable player. I love how you can add videos to it as well. I keep it in my purse and use the voice recorder feature on it to record my shopping list. The sound quality is excellent and sounds amazing when you plug this baby into speakers. I can also plug it into my car stereo and listen to tunes on the go.

The Sansa e260 is a great little player. Love the ability to use a memory chip to add more music and ebooks. The FM radio has very good reception. Batterylife is excellent.

One of the really great things about this player is the ability to find your place in ebooks. In other machines, it is a chore leaving a book to listen to music or the radio, then find your place in the middle of a chapter. The Sansa's fast forward is sensitive enough to make it reasonable.

I recieved this as a gift last christmas and I love it. I had researched mp3 players and this one seemed to have the best overall reviews so I put it on my wish list. I was not at all disappointed, it has all the features I want. The player is easy to use and I have had no problems at all. It was much cheaper than an ipod and I find it to be a very attractive mp3 player. It definietly has great sound quality and video quality, it's a great affordable ipod alternative!

This is a great product for a great price. It holds all of my music, it is less than half the price of an ipod and I've dropped it more times than I can count.. I've had it over a year, and it's holding up fantastically. I've had no problems with it. Easy to figure out. Easy to set up. I reccommened it over most mp3 players.

Only downsides are the ear bud earphones they come with stink.. so get your own. And doesn't go well with Macs so i hear from my friend.

I love listening to music so the Sansa Mp3 player helps me do that easy. All I have to do is download songs and put them into the Mp3 player and listen wherever I go. It is so simple I love how easy it is. I like all the features about it. I can download up to 500 songs. I can also delete as many as I want. ...

The bottom line is I wish I had bought a different player. The E260 has too many quirks that make it frustrating to use. I have owned it for about 2 years. The built in rechargeable battery life is down to only a couple hours of use before it needs recharging. Every 4-6 months or so the player will get a synchronizing error that prevents it's use. The only correction I have found is to reformat it and start all over. Doing a web search on the problems indicates that I am just one of many people who have had this problem which isn't a synchronizing or licensing problem at all. This player does not have bookmarking capabilities- which makes listening to audio books problematic. The record button is on the side of the player and is very easy to turn on by accident. When this happens you cannot resume from where you left off, with audio books that means starting a chapter over. Chapters can be over 1 hour long. There is a fast forward button, but it is awkward holding......

SanDisk - Sansa e260 MP3 Player This player is very different from most other MP3 players out there it is expandable plays video like an IPod but less expensive big screen easily viewable this is the cons of the player easy to operate but slow to bootup fits nicely in your hand and is rugged, case is hard with stainless steel backing, can purchase many accessories for this player but lots of added expense for these accessories player seems to be ala carte everything purchased is separate the only thing that comes with this player is a lanyard which seems flimsy the player also sounds great and has all the features of more expensive players such as an equalizer and radio shuffles and more comes with comfortable stereo earbuds, one downside to this player is that you must use software to delete any songs you may want to delete and the preloaded songs can not be deleted...

The Sansa mp3 players from Sandisk are great. They play videos and music and store pics, records voice and picks up radio. They are priced alot more affordable than the ipods of similar memory and function. It's small and fits in my pocket. Easy to use. Has expandable memory slot for more memory....

The sansa e260 is a nice player at a reasonable price. I like that you can record songs from the radio. The random play all feature is nice when you don't know what you are in the mood to listen to. The only problem I have is that the wheel is starting to skip pages of lists, making it hard to land on one particular line. I like that the sansa is so compact it fits in my pocket and is easy to carry when jogging....

The Sandisk Sansa series of mp3 players is probably the best out there. Simply use Windows Explorer to move media back and forth is simple. It requires no software, like iTunes that makes your pc slow to a crawl and cumbersome to transfer media to your player.

The radio reception is great and the ability to record from the radio or a memo for later is great, too.

To me, the simply of transferring media more than outweighs the lack of playing the mp3 player while connected to a pc. All my music is backed up on my pc anyhow.

We have an e250 and e260 in our house already. I'll be getting one for myself soon!

I bought this device for wife's birthday. She absolutely loves it! The thumb wheel I think is acutally a bit better then the IPod's. Fairly easy to operate and has numerous abilities. My only complaint is that the scroll feature could be a little faster. Sound quality is great. Easy music transfers. For the price, its a great value....

I recieved the sansa e60 as a christmas present and at the time i believe it was around $170 for the 4gb version.

pros: has many features:

- fm radio

-video

-photobook

-recorder (can record both voice and radio)

-rhapsody enabled for easy mp3 transfer with service

-scroll wheel, like an ipod

-album covers upload with songs

-custom sound you set yourself

cons:

-Playlists. This comes with pre-loaded playlists, complete with terribly cheesy names and worse music. if you do not want to subscribe to rhapsody, the only playlist you can set up is the "on the go", which is set from the mp3 player itself and not your pc... its time consuming, and i would like to have multiple playlists for genres/moods, rather than one set one that i have to change constantly.

-You can purchase a micro memory card to add space to the player, however this was much more difficult to do than it should have been, and my player went on the fritz shortly thereafter, and would not recognize or play all songs. There may have been...
