I love my new Samsung High Efficiency VRT washer. I was very skeptical about the claims the manufactures of this washer made but have found them to be very true. Runs extremely quiet, uses much less water, clothes are cleaner, makes doing laundry fun again! The front loader washer is easy to fill with clothes and allows you to see exactly what is going on during the wash cycle. You don't have to worry about it because it automatically locks when the cycle starts. Tub is slanted slightly back so no water runs out of the washer if you should need to add or remove an item. You just press a button to pause the cycle to unlock the door. Easy to add bleach, softener and laundry detergent - can use either liquid (which I prefer) or powder but you must use High Efficiency detergent! love my set, but the bracket that alowes you to stack on top makes it a little noisy for a short time. Clothes smell good and look clean! Very impressed with the water usage! Clothes dry in no time!! Half the time to get laundry all done than before.

While the washer works, the door cover keeps falling off and it sounds like

the water pump is going out (a known defect). Calling Lowes and Samsung is almost

worthless. The door covers falls out so when you go to close the door the remaing

plastic has sharp prickly things on them that dig in or cut your hand.

It has been more than a month trying to get this serviced and fixed. I should have listened to Samsung when they left a message telling me, they would send me a new door and I could do it my self. NO THANK YOU. (Had I only known.)

Weeks later I was still trying to get the repair people out I had to change my schedule around 10 days in advance and wait. I did, ten days later the repair people called me and left a message saying they have to order the parts so they wouldn't be coming out that day. Thank you for making me wait Calahan's Appliance.

Still trying to get service on the washer, one "executive handling agent" informed me to call their parts supplier to have the...

They're not kidding when they say that the componets are so quiet that they can be put in the bedroom...100% true!

Pros: Energy and water efficient, price, quality of wash, quiet operation.

Cons: Only con would be the standing water in the gasket but this is easily resolved with a quick wipe.

I think the front loading Samsung washer is one og the best on the market, We tried Maytag first but it vibrates all over the laundry room.

The Samsung washer offers more options and is extremely easy to operate, It is very quiet, even the vibration noise isn't that bad. The spin cycles are great! Cloths come out almost dry, so it doesn't take as much time on the dryer,

Found myself needing a new washer and checked out front loaders, largely because of

their appearance and ease of use. I am handicapped and need to sit for most tasks. The Samsung front loader is extra large capacity and I have to continue to struggle to add more clothes to each load because I am always worried about overloading. Not to worry, though. This washer gets things super clean with so little soap and water. The spin cycle - which I've never had trouble with - leaves the clothes so close to dry! It was pricey but if you shop around and even haggle with the salesperson, you can get a deal.

Well we purchased this models set samsung and it was delivered february 8th, 2009 and the washer never completed the spin cycle from the moment it was delivered. I love the dryer but after several calls, several representatives, and 2 repairsmen I told sears I wanted them to replace the entire set and they agreed. However, I am at a stand still because I do not know what brand to purchase next :( I have narrowed it down to another samsung set higher quality better rating and a bosch. I love the way samsung appliances look and it is hard to overlook it and go with another brand. I have conducted a ton of research on both brands and now I am tired and just want to get a new set in ASAP. Any recommendations?...

This washer will not work in a room that is below 60 degrees. Our washer gets stuck on the spin cycle and will not complete the wash. When the samsung techs first told us that this was because the room was only 57 degrees we thought they were crazy, but sure enough it states this in the owner's manual and the wash does complete when we use space heaters for a few hours before doing the laundry. I think this should be communicated to anyone wanting to purchase this washer for a basement or laundry room which is not heated to the same degree as the rest of the house! I would have expected more from samsung....

I purchased this washer 2 years ago and I am not totally thrilled with it. When we needed a repair it took weeks to find some one in our area that knew how to service it. It also seems to have a musty smell. I have tried everything to get rid of that but it still lingers. It does hold very large loads, and that's a plus. But if you are considering buying a front loader I would think it over carefully, you will have no cycle to "soak" clothes. I believe my whites washed cleaner in a top loader because I could fill the tub and let them soak before running the load....
