The Samsung Alias has been a great phone for me. I have had is for about a year and have had no major problems with it at all. The QWERTY keyboard has mad texting so much easier, although the buttons are on the small side and are close together they have worked great for me. Someone with larger fingers would probally find it dificult to press the correct key. The camera takes good picture and videos. The speakers are not as loud as I would like but they are still better than my old phone. I wish I could program each name for a different ringer for text and picture messages like I could with my previous phone, but it is worth loosing that feature to have the keyboard. It has 3 alarms, and calander reminders which is great. It has VCast Music and VCast video which is a nice feature but the feature only works in landscape mode which is a downside. The Alias has been a very durable phone I have dropped it several times and it has held up well. I was worried about the strength of the hing not...
...

kitkat3783 says "Alias perfect for texters." about Samsung - Alias Cell Phone

The samsung Alias is one of the easiest phones I have ever used. The phone is odd when you first get it though. Certain items can only be opened depending on which way the phone is flipped(get it now is one example). Very nice keyboard for texting. Texting is much easier using the keyboard the the T9 in previous cell phone I owned. If you are going to be texting alot then I would definitly recommend this phone. I ended up switching this phone for the Krave touch screen and about three months after using the Krave I went back to the Alias because it is better for texting. One problem I have had is that it erased my SD card once. I'm not sure why it did it or if it was something I did but it was just a weird quirk my phone had. It only happened once and hasn't happened again. This phone is also very simple to hook up to a computer with a data cable. i've been able to do it a few times and back up my phone with bitpim with no problems.
...

I have had the Samsung alias for almost two years now, and even though it's only the second cell phone i've ever had, i probably couldnt ask for a much better one. everyone else complains about their cell phone glitches or not having enough service and other things like that, but i've never had a problem like that with my alias. it takes decent pictures and is easy to use. there are only a few things i would want to change about this phone. the front screen is a little too small, and therefore it is hard to see any background pictures. another thing i had a slight problem with was the fact that you cannot zoom in on pictures. overall, i like that i always have service, even though you can pretty much get that with any verizon cell phone. i think it is awesome how it flips open two ways. at first it was a little confusing how to read the keyboard because of the fact that it opens two ways, but once you get used to it, it's awesome. my plan ends in a month and i will be getting a new phone,...
...

dgambrell says "The Alias is "out of this world"" about Samsung - Alias Cell Phone

The Alias cell phone is outstanding. I have had this phone for almost two years. I love how it opens two different ways. It works extremely well as a flip cell phone. Conversations are private, without all of the background noise that can occur from some of the phones that don't have the flip capacity. As a texting phone, this phone is great! The keyboard is very user-friendly. This phone takes fairly good pictures. The sound quality is good. A memory card is available for purchase if you wish to use it as an MP3 player. It is a pretty good size for a purse; it may be a little larger than you might wish to keep in your pocket. I would definitely recommend this cell phone to anyone who uses their cell for texting and phone calls.
...

I have used my cell phone provider for over 10 years now. Up until now, I've been completely satisfied with the phones and service I've used. Last November, I "upgraded" to the Samsung Alias, and since then, I've had dropped calls. Not just a few, but I'd say up to 75% of my calls drop right in the middle of the conversation. It's really frustrating....

The Samsung Alias cell phone has a dual-flip form factor that transforms it from a standard handset to a mini messaging center, complete with a full QWERTY keyboard. I love this phone! It makes texting super easy. It even has voice recognition so you can speak your text message and the phone will type it out for you. My friends love it as well and have even purchased their own. Here are some additional features:

1.3 Mega Pixel Digital Camera/Camcorder with Flash & Digital Zoom

microSD Removable Memory

Bluetooth Enabled for Wireless Headset Support*

V CAST Music with Rhapsody (wireless and PC downloads)

V CAST Videos

Hearing Aid Compatibility = M4

...
