A year and a half ago my son and I bought the same phone- the Samsung - A737 Slider Cell Phone in different colors. Neither one of us has been happy with them.

After we had the phones for a two days we took them back into the Best Buy where we had gotten the phones to trade them for different phones. We explained that the reception range was horrible on them and that we had too many dropped calls. The rep installed internal antennas [at our expense] to help with the range problem. It did seem to help for a while.

My son then went back to Utah to college and of course, I stayed here in Upstate, New York. We spent a few phone calls to each other complaining about the phones but decided to suck it up and deal with the problems. As soon as the 30 day exchange period expired the phones started acting up again. My son would complain that his battery would get really hot after speaking for a few minutes. I didn't believe him and thought he was exaggerating until my phone started doing the...

This is a very fun phone. I love the slider feature and the fun color options you get (I have the orange phone, but I think there is a green one and some other fun colors too). I've had the phone for two years, and it still works pretty well. My battery used to last a long time (~5-6 days), but now I have to charge it every day or two. My reception isn't perfect, but it's not too bad. Sometimes it sounds fuzzy when I have several bars, and sometimes my friends will have reception when I don't. It must be the phone, because my friends have the same service provider, but different phones. Also, I'm not really into surfing the internet or check my email on the phone, but I don't think it would work really well on the phone due to the phones small size and lack of a QWERTY keyboard. Overall, I really like the phone and am glad I bought it. It's not perfect, but it will definitely do.

I definitely am one to trip on flat surfaces. A smooth wooden floor is no match for my clutzyness! However, the Samsung A-737 Slider has proven to be indestructible, no matter how many times I've dropped it.

Texting, as well as tripping, is also a part of my daily life. On this phone, texting is easier than ever before. The keypad is all one smooth surface, making it easier for my fingers to slip and slide from key to key, increasing my typed words-per-minute. Granted, the dictionary doesn't have nearly as many of the words I use as I'd like it to, but really, what cell phone is going to have the word Schlitterbahn in its automatic vocabulary?

Now, the battery life is something different. I'm not sure if I was supposed to charge the battery before I turned it on when I first got it. If so, OOPS!! If not, however, the battery life is inadequate.

I was surprised by how much I could actually do while I'm on the phone with someone. Now, like most of you, I have that one friend that drones on...
