Sam's Letters to Jennifer is a story about a woman who is inspired to find love again. Jennifer is a journalist who's grandmother has fallen into a coma. Jennifer comes to her grandmother's home and finds a bunch of letters addressed to her from her grandmother, Sam. The letters in themselves are another love story. In the letters Jennifer finds inspiration to love again.

I truly enjoyed this book. I read it in one day because i couldnt put it down. I have read many of James Patterson books (mostly Alex Cross Novels) and was surprised to find a love story written by Patterson. It is a beautifully written story, with a surprise ending like most of his novels. If your looking for a great story filled with love and inspiration give this book a chance you wont regret it.

Sam's Letters to Jennifer by James Patterson

This book is one of Patterson's more touching love stories, sharply different from his Alex Cross or Women's Murder Club series. Nevertheless, true to Patterson's style, it is a page-turner with continuous shockers and tear-jerkers.

This is a love story, but it is a love story on many levels. It is a love story between a man and a woman - not, as it would seem, Sam and Jennifer - and a love story between a grandmother and her granddaughter - Sam and Jennifer, respectively. By the end, the reader will feel the powerful feeling of love between two people meant to be together and who help each other through hard times. Readers will also take away a warm reminder that family is more important than anything.

The format (short chapters mixed with short letters) is easy to read and pushes you along. If you have even maybe less than 4 hours to devote in a day, you can read this book. The letters reveal secrets about Jennifer's beloved grandmother...

I love James Patterson in general, but I really loved this book! It was very different from most of his other books being that it was touching and showed a softer side of this great author! This book and Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas are two of his best books in my opinion! I definitely recommend this book!...

I picked up this book on a bargain table because it was inexpensive and I like James Patterson.

What a thrill! It was a wonderful story! We get to have the story of Jennifer's current relationship (or lack of one), her relationship with her grandmother, Sam, and Sam's relationships of the past, through the letters. And we get to see what Jennifer learns from Sam's past and the current situations she is going through.

A wonderful, touching story that you won't be able to put down.

I really love this book! My sister in law told me about it, we read basically the same books, so I went and picked it up. I COULDN'T put it down! I love the way Jennifer's grandmother left her her lifes story behind in letters. I would tell any one to read james patterson!...

I am an avid James Patterson reader and was worried when I first started reading this because it isn't usually the type I read. This was a great story and very well written.

I had just finished reading Suzannes Diary to Nicholas and after not putting that down went straight into this book also not being able to put it down. Which is not usual for me.

When you read it you feel like you are in the story with the characters. If you like books about family, love and what things life can bring when you least expect it you'll like this book.

I loved this book. Could not put it down until I was done reading it. Very emotional and you get so involved into the book. I would recommend to everyone to read this book. I love James Patterson. He is a terrific writer who makes you feel so involved into his books. I read all of them....

I really enjoyed reading this book. I had grown tired of Patterson's style of writing and this was like a blessed discovery. I know it probably didn't sell as well as his suspense thrillers, but to me his writing really shines in this book. I fell in love with the characters and really cared about the story....

My daughter is an avid reader so I picked her up a few books at a second hand store this week. One of them was Sams letters to Jennifer. I spent eight hours int eh Er tonight and on my way I grabbed this book and threw it in my bag. From page one I did not want to stop reading. The story unfolds in such a way that it just commands you to keep reading. The way all the stories unfold together is perfect. There were points that made me want to laugh and definatly some parts that made me want to cry. I loved the fact that the chapters are short enough to where you can grab afew pages here and there and not be lost when you come back to the book. I have never read any of the authors books before but I enjoyed this one so much I plan on looking for more of his books on my next outing. I can promise that my daughter will be reading this book and I am sure after she is done it will be passed through my family.

This is not a book you want to pass up on reading!...

James Patterson is usally known for his thrillers, but he showed that he actually has a sensitive side in the book Sam's Letters to Jennifer.

Jennifer is a nearly middle aged woman who is still grieving over the death of her husband. Though her friends are telling her it is time to get herself back out there and start dating again; she doubts that she will have the strength to actually date. Jennifer feels that it is likely impossible that she will ever find love again.

Jennifer has one person left in her life that she loves dearly and that is her Grandmother Sam. To her dismay she gets a phone call that her Grandmother has fallen in to a Coma. The doctors are unsure if she will ever make it back to a normal life. Jennifer gets in her car immediately and heads to Lake Geneva, WI where her grandmother currently lives.
