I purchased these baby monitors at a very god price. I like that you can put a battery in and take with you anywhere or leave stationary plugged in. They work very well. Only drawback is once in a while you can pick up interference from other monitors. I would defiantley reccomend this product to parents.

When my father-in-law became terminally ill with cancer, it was difficult for my mother-in-law to sleep in her own bedroom while he was in another room, because she wasn't able to hear him call her when he needed something. To help her rest easier, we purchased the Safety 1st Baby Monitor so she could get her much-needed rest in her own bed with the peace of mind that if she was called on, she would be able to respond.

The Safety 1st Baby Monitor has one transmitter station and one receiver, although another set is available with two receivers. I paid $16.99 for the single receiver set. Both the receiver and transmitter are made of white plastic. Each has its own adapter cable, so the receiver can be used with a 9-volt battery when you need to move around or by plugging it into an electrical outlet. Because the receiver has a belt clip, you can be fairly mobile, as long as you stay within 400 feet of the transmitter. There are two frequencies, so you can reduce interference...

This product is horrible. The batteries die right away and all you can hear is white noise 24/7. I guess you get what you pay for!

When I used the safety first baby monitori was surprised at how bad the sound came through. It isn't clear and it seemed shoppy. I was afraid I woyldnt hear my son if he were just fussing. I probably would if he had a loud cry but not a low toned sound. I had to careful and mindful of where I was going in the house but to the monitior cutting out when I went too far.

I had compared prices and features of other baby monitors when it came time to purchase a new monitor for my 11 month old son, his previous very expensive video based monitor completely quit and even before that was so filled with static that you could barely hear anything but static. I picked up the Crystal Clear monitor by Safety First for only $18.00 at out local Wal-Mart thinking this would hold us over until I could order or pick out another company/model of monitor that I had my eye on (very expensive), and as soon as we connected the Crystal Clear set I was in love! It is so clear (and no static, not even in our two story home) and you can hear every tiny sound in my son's room, his moving and breathing, that I am now thinking we will just save the money that we would have spent on an expensive monitor and keep this $18.00 wonder! Try it you won't be disappointed even with the tiny price tag, it does what it says!...

I have been using this monitor for about a year to listen to our grandchild. I did not realize that some monitors were quiet enough to hear the baby sleeping until I visited a friend and heard her baby breathing over the monitor. I am planning on purchasing another monitor for the next grandchild. This monitor is better than nothing....

My twins are now 2.5 years old, and I don't think that this monitor has been off for a day since we moved them into their cribs at 2 months of age. I can't say enough good things about this monitor. With the multiple bases, I could monitor them if they slept together or separate. The range on this set is also wonderful. I can travel as far as 2 houses away and still hear what is going on as if I was in the next room. It has also acted as a great distraction toy during diaper changes and it has survived "twin play"....

What I Like About The Baby Monitor Is The Fact That I Can Here My Child If She Is Up Or Not The Monitor We Have As A Night Light On The Main One And That Helps Really Well My Husband And I Have Our Daughter One Room Away From Us And What I Like Is That We Can Here Her Better With The Monitor Than With It's Easy To Hook Up The Sound Is Clear No Static At All We Love It Our Daughter Is 21 Months And We Still Use It To Know If She's Up It Works Great

My son was born 5 weeks early and although he was perfectly healthy, I was a nervous wreck worrying over him. He did have reflux and sometimes would gag in his sleep. "It's very sensitive. No static with this product. The clip is not secure so it might fall off when you bend or sit. If you walk into the room with the hand held you must lower the volume so you won't get any feed back. That's all!"

Like the other reviewer said; I can hear my baby breathe. That's how great this monitor is. I was very nervous about putting my baby to sleep in his crib for the first time. We had him in a bassinet in our room for 6 weeks. I plugged the monitor in his room and listened for about 5 minutes very closely and I could hear everything in the room. If he moved his foot or even spit up I heard it. It's actually so good that you do hear sounds outside the room like the tv in the livingroom. It's very sensitive. I have never gotten interference with this monitor like you can with others. Never had static....

Giving this baby monitor to an expectant Mother & Father, is like giving them a little piece of mind. We received the Safety 1st Baby Monitor as a gift when my son was born, and I still have it today. And yes! It still works. In fact, I still use it even though my youngest son is seven.

With the Safety 1st Baby Monitor, you can hear EVERYTHING that is happening in the room your child is in. You put one monitor in the room with the baby and then you keep the other one with you. I always plugged in the one with the baby and used batteries for the one with me. This way I could carry it with me if I went on the front porch, or outside for a breath of fresh air. And it was like I was still in the room with my baby. If the baby sighed, I could hear it!

This particular monitor was very reliable. I never went out of range with it, and always had great reception. When the baby cried, I heard it. If the baby was sick, I heard that too. If I was trying to sleep, I'd just...

Hi I bought a Safety 1st baby montor and thought that it was good at first and then it started acting up to were it made mw go and buy another one!! I used it maybe once or twice if that!! I went out and bought a evenflow baby montor and i like the way that one works!! I can go pretty much anywhere with that one and it works any where in the house and outside the house in the yard
