i love all soyjoy products. Each and every bar has a unique and incredible taste. The flavor here -- with dried fruit -- happens to be a really exceptional one. It is chewy, but not overly so. It is really delicious. I have started eating them for a midday snack as well as a nighttime snack. i really do believe it is helping me to lose weight, in fact. I have been trying for awhile now to find a snack that tastes good and is low in calories. These bars fit the bill perfectly. i do love them and i highly recommend you try them for yourself.
...

I tried the apple Soy Joy bar when I was on Weight Watchers and looking for a low-points snack on the go. Nasty.

They are dry, stick to the inside of your mouth, and are hard to swallow. I needed to swish water around in my mouth to get it out of all the nooks and crannies. They are not bland, though. They smell and taste like corrugated cardboard. There are apple flecks, but no apple taste.

I was very disappointed with the Soy Joy bar. It was less expensive than the other bars, but it was also smaller. I would not suggest trying these.
...

I love all the Soy Joy Bars! They are a little smaller then granola bars. They are dense bars and have friut and or nuts depending on the flavor you pick. They taste natural and are not overly sweet. They are make with soy and lower in calories and so they are healthier. My husband and I often take them with us when we are out and about. They make a great mid morning or mid afternoon snack. It keeps us on track with our dieting and if we have the bars with us we are less likely to get fast food when we begin to get hungry. I really like the apple walnut and the mango the best.I have purchase Soy Joy Bars at Target, Publix, CVS and Walgreens. The price can be as high as $1.19 to as low as .50 cents a bar.I have noticed Publis sells them in a 6 pack now. The other places sell them single so you can mix and match the bars you want. We tend to not drink milk, so eating the Soy Joy bars adds calcium to our diet and soy is high in protein. I think eating the bars for a snack curb our appetite...
...

I have tried soy joy quite a few times and admittedly the first time I thought I had gotten a stale bar. After giving the snack another try I actually appreciated the simplicity of the taste and texture. It is not at all like your average snack or granola type bar. Although sweet you have to remember it is not trying to disguise itself as a candy bar. I don't purchase them often because of the price but when I have they have been filling. Often with other snack bars I can eat two; but with soy joy one is enough. The texture helps make it a heavy filler, I think. Overall, its a great healthy alternative to other snack foods.
...

I was always seeing the commercials for SoyJoy on TV and thought that it looked like a product I wanted to try. I'm pretty health-conscious, and am always on the lookout for healthy snacks that didn't take the joy out of snacking. I was at my friendly neighborhood Walgreen's and saw that SoyJoy was on sale 2 for $1. I purchased two bars and went on my way. I soon found out the real reason why they were on sale ...

SoyJoy is no joy at all. They are packaged attractively - wrapped in foil with bright colors - but once you open the package, the attraction ends. The bar is small and rectangular in shape, weighing only 1.06 oz. It was dark brown, burnt-looking, with a sort of cookie-like texture. There were bits of fruit in it, but it didn't in any way start to make my mouth water. The smell wasn't very appealing, either. I thought that maybe the reality of the taste had to be better than the outside, so I took my first bite. It was a little bit like eating chewy cardboard...
...

I was so excited to try this new bar i heard about called Soy Joy. I love soy products in general & am always searching for a new healthy bar with real ingredients! Unfortunately, in my opinion, this bar failed the taste test! As i mentioned, i love soy & eat/drink products containing soy regularly, but the bar i tried had a very unpleasant aftertaste, almost as if the soy was rancid. I do admit, however that the bar did have a decent ingredient list & seemed to contain real ingredients like nuts, dates, berries etc, in addition to soy protien.

My other complaint is about the texture of the bar itself. I thought from the ingredient list that the bar would be soft, but it was very firm, almost hard, but it was chewy. The spice flavor overwhelmed the fruitiness, but not that horrible soy taste.

I have found other bars that like MUCH better, that have good ingredients in them as well, such as Cliff Nectar bars, which are wonderful, although i was really hoping for a soy bar...
...

I am always looking around online for free samples. I found a sample on walmart.com for a Soyjoy Berry Bar. I thought well I'll give it a try. It's a natural product or so it says and I am not about natural or organic. Before I even bit into it I couldn't stand the smell and it was so dry. Very dry. I bit into it and right away I spit it out. It was awful. My daugher didn't like it either. Just not for us. I always wondered what a SoyJoy bar tastes like and now I know. I see them in the store and they are quite pricey so glad I didn't buy it. Was no joy in it for me. Yuck!!!...

SOYJOY Bars

I have Celiac Disease, which prevents me from eating foods with gluten and wheat in it. I found a great deal on the SOYJOY Bars at Rite-Aid a few weeks ago. I purchased a few of these bars to see how I liked them. They are yummy and the best snack bar I've tried that is Gluten-Free. Rite-Aid is having another sale on the SOYJOY Bars in a few weeks. I will definitely be purchasing more of them.

Each SOYJOY Bar is baked with whole soy and real dried fruit. It is an all-natural snack bar. There are NO Artificial Colors or Flavors, Trans Fats, Hydrogenated Oils or Gluten in these bars. Each bar has between 130-140 calories, contains four grams of protein, and three grams of fiber. There are six flavors to choose from such as the Apple Walnut, Berry, Mango Coconut, Peanut Chocolate Chip, Raisin Almond, and Strawberry. I have tried all the flavors except the Peanut Chocolate Chip bar. This must be a popular flavor because Rite-Aid is always out of them. My favorite SOYJOY Bar is the...
...

Quick View: I am a big fan of nutritional, meal replacement, energy, and fiber bars so I expected to be a big fan of SOYJOY - Soy Snack Bars with Dried Fruit. They're all natural and look great. In the package. It all went downhill when I opened the bar YUCK!

My Experience with SOYJOY - Soy Snack Bars with Dried Fruit

I have only tried the Strawberry flavor so know that the other flavors: Berry, Mango Coconut, Raisin Almond, Apple, and Peanut Chocolate Chip may taste better. Even if they do, I won't eat them because there isn't enough of anything good for me in them.

These bars come in a foil package and weigh in at a an ounce each. They're long and thin, similar to one stick of a Kit Kat in size but the similarities end there. The bar looks like a gray/brown slat of mud but there are some berries peeking through.

The texture is hard with very little moisture. The taste is...YUCK! I am VERY easy going when it comes to these types of bars but SoyJoy seems to be missing flavor. I kept waiting......

I work at a natural health food store, we carry a lot of gluten free snacks. We put out samples of snacks, both gluten free and gluten full. I have nothing against gluten free foods, in fact I really like most of them. When SoyJoy bars first came out my neighbors came into the store to request them and we soon were carrying them. They were flying out the door which made me think that they must be good so I didn't try them for a long time. A couple of months ago the grocery manager gave me some to put out for samples and so I had to try them. I love samples and working around food all day I'm always hungry too. So what did I think? Yuck is an understatement!

The taste was funny, not Ha Ha funny but more like odd funny. It was supposed to taste like fruit but I wasn't getting that flavor from what I was chewing on. Upon reading the list of ingredients I found that the one I had just tried had Parmesan cheese as an ingredient? These were not cheese flavored they were......
