Well laundry is not my favorite chore it is a part of life that I have resigned myself to. I have used several laundry baskets over the course of time and this is the Rubbermaid Hip Hugger is the one that I prefer. I received this as a gift for my bridal shower which was almost five years ago and this basket still looks like new. I like that it is curved to fit my hip because it makes going through doors easier when I have a full load of laundry. I also like the handles on this laundry basket. I own a few other baskets and I hate when they cut into my hands or are hard to grip. I have never had this problem with the Rubbermaid Hip Hugger.

As an added bonus, for those of you who have kids, this is the laundry basket that I use as a push car with my little boy. The plastic on it is durable, way more so than my other baskets. In fact it is so heavy duty, my husband has even carried my two year old up the stairs in it from time to time :)

I love this basket. I have been using these hip hugger baskets for over five years and they are as tough and sturdy as the day I bought them. I carry my laundry up and down three flights of stairs and am in the habit of dropping the baskets down pretty hard. I have tried many different styles, from wicker to plastic over the years but none compare to the durability of these rubbermaid baskets. If they ever do wear out, I know just what to replace them with....

i like using it to carry laundry to and from the washer/dryer, it also helps pick up toys that are scattered all over the house....

I have purchased many different laundry baskets, in the last few years, and none have held up like this one! I have hade the same rubbermaid hip hugger for 2 years! All of the other brands that I have tried couldn't hold it together without breaking and falling apart. This basket even holds up to my teen and my grandkids!

I have to say I love the Rubbermaid Hip Laundry basket. I live in an old Victorian home where the laundry room is tin the basement. I need to climb two flight of stairs and still be able to talk on the phone, hold a cup of coffee or whatever and this basket allows me to do just that. The initial cost was a little higher than a normal laundry basket, but it has proved it's worth over and over to me. My basket has to 8 or 9 years old and is still going strong. I am able to open doors carrying this basket, which is not a feat usually done with a basket that requires two hands to carry! I feel the cost of this basket is minimal when used over years and it will last years....

This laundry basket fits on your hip so that you can have a free arm to pick up or grab something else if you need to. It is a bit pricey but it is worth it to me as they hold alot of laundry and the convenience makes up for the price. They are well built and sturdy and look for them to last awhile....

I got my Rubbermade Hip Hugger Laundry Basket at a local discount grocery store for a very, very reasonable price, and I am glad I did. It is heavy duty, and made very well. It is large enough to hold alot, but not too large to where it is hard to store when not in use. I love the grips on the handles. They do not dig into your hands when you have a heavy load in the basket. I would recommend this basket to anyone that wants a nice sized basket which is easy to handle even when it is full of clothing. It holds it's shape and mine has been used a lot but still looks brand new. ...

I love to hang my laundry outdoors to dry! To me, the actual process of hanging my laundry on the clothesline is very relaxing and I choose to do so whenvever the weather is permitting. I really welcome this quiet, early morning time; it is so peaceful!

Unfortunately, wet laundry is very heavy. And, it is even heavier yet when the load must be carried up a whole flight of stairs from the laundry room to the main floor. Then, transported again from the main floor to the outdoors. Using a standard laundry basket was definitely becoming out of the question because it puts so much strain on my back.

A friend actually told me about the Rubbermaid Hip Hugger Laundry Basket and recommended it. I now own one and must say that I will never want to use a standard laundry basket again. The Hip Hugger rests snugly and gently against my hip. It's design means that there is much less strain on my back and on my body in general. And, it's large capacity means I can carry a load of wash all in one trip.

We have steep steps to get to the basement, with this basket I am not afraid i'll fall down the stairs as it easily balances on your hip so I can see where I am going. Other baskets you have to carry in front of you, this is also great for carrying in front, as the curve allows you to carry it closer to you in a more comfortable position....

i love the way you can carry it with one hand.but when it comes to folding clothes and putting them away you cant get much in it. if it was a little wider it would be great....
