Rowanta makes ironing easier by the auto shutoff feature, and also heating up quickly. It's also lightweight which is easier on your arm and wrist. Rowanta makes a dull job bearable. :-)

My Rowena Effective, which I have had just a little over a year, would turn off while I was ironing and I would have to unplug it to get it to come back on. This would happen every two to three minutes. I am very disappointed, especially for the price. It should have worked properly more than a year!!!!! Before this malfunctioning auto-off feature occurred I was happy with its performance, but...........

I have been using Rowenta irons for over 30 years and was satisfied until the last five years during which i had to replace (under warranty) four Rowentas. The latest, a DZ1900 spits water no matter what setting is used for steam. Rowenta has suggested using water four different times and I have followed their recommendations; the latest is to use bottled spring water. It takes a tank full of water to iron two shirts. As soon as I can, I will replace this iron and will trash it. I do not want anyone else putting up with all of the frustrations of using it.

I've had my Rowenta Effective for less than three years and unfortunately need to purchase another. The automatic shut off turns off while I'm ironing something and I need to fiddle with the cord to get it going again. Uh-oh. Does that sound dangerous?

I also find that the reservoir runs out before I can finish two items and I'm not even spraying. My old Sunbeam lasted for 15 years. Is it that they just don't make things the way they used to? I've been ironing for 50 years.

I've purchased three Rowenta Irons , not because they need replacement but because once a family member uses mine...a Rowenta Iron becomes the number one gift they want on thier Christmas , Birthday or any gift lists. A rowenta Iron actually makes ironing the easiest job, no a pleasure to do. With a Rowenta iron ironing is done in a third of the time it takes to do with any other brand of iron and clothes look like they are fresh from the dry cleaner. You're only regret with a Rowenta Iron is that you didn't own one sooner....

I got a new Rowenta Iron for Christmas. My policy normal holds to "if it plugs in" it's not a gift for me. But not this time. This is a wonderful iron and I don't mind ironing anymore. It is light weight, shuts off when I forget, which is most of the time. Has vertical steam which means I can hang up the shirt and then iron it, easy peasy. I HIGHLY recommend this item!...

When the new lighter irons were introduced 25 - 30 years ago I bought one. Used it for years and never realized how much longer I was spending ironing each article of clothing until I bought a Rowenta iron. Even though I was spending more than I thought necessary for an iron, the department store was demonstrating Rowentas. I was impressed as it looked as though the time to iron a blouse was shortened. Sure enough as I ironed at home I noticed quite an improvement in using a Rowenta. Shorter amount of time is needed to get excellent results. The amount of steam you want to "emit" both vertically and horizontally is adjustable.

Buying a Rowenta iron is an investment; I truly believe this iron will last me for years and years and will be "passed" on to my daughter. It is definitely a quality product.
