Rock on! With Rock Band 2 on Xbox 360, you can have a ball with all your friends. With great gameplay, a broad music library, and many other features, this game is easily the best music game out there. It's very easy to pick up, and I learned it in about a day. However, additional songs can cost $2, adding up quickly. But if you ignore that, this game is simply.... awesome!...

First, the instruments are a big improvement over the previous Rock Band. I prefer wireless to wired, which is nice since I live in a small space and storing the wires is a pain. The face of the drums is made of a different material which makes them much less noisy. This is great for those who live in apartment complexes like me. A second smaller improvement, is that the base of the drums which holds the pedal is a different shape, which means the pedal doesn't rotate when the drums are lifted and moved.

Another major improvement over the Guitar Hero series is the ability to export songs. With Rock Band 2 you are able to play most the original Rock Band songs in Rock Band 2 by storing them on your hard drive (This cost 400 MS points and requires an XBox live connection). I really like this feature.

One game play improvement in tour mode, over the original Rock Band, allows you to use your character on every instrument instead of just one. This saves a lot of time on character creation....

This game is SO FUN, especially at parties. There's something for everyone - the karaoke nerds can grab the mic, the constant toe-tappers can take the drum sticks, and the bass and rhythm guitars are pretty much accessible for anyone, as long as they have some hand eye coordination and/or a reliable inner-metronome. If you're playing with others, everyone will have something to do, and if you're playing by yourself, you'll have a diverse set of options to keep you plugging away at it, trying to get better. There is a healthy variety of genres to choose from, but new songs are released to download for a fee every week. I myself haven't purchased any new songs, but I probably will take advantage of the Track Packs in the future. My only complaint is that the game is so dang entertaining that you won't be able to stop playing. As a music lover and novice musician, the reason it's so fun for me is the sense of accomplishment you get when you get a song down pat, or when you jam to...

Rock Band 2 is a really fantastic game. You can sing, you can play drums, you can play guitar. It has it all. The song list is also one of the best so far for this type of game. There is enough variety so that everyone should at least know a few of the songs. The instruments available are also excellent. There is a choice of table top or stand alone drumsets so even if you don't have a lot of room, you can still get the tabletop drum set and rock out. The buttons on the guitar are nicely spaced. I don't have large hands and the buttons are close enough together so that they can be comfortably reached. I also really like the separate guitar solo buttons. They allow you to play really complicated solos without worrying about keeping up with the strumming when the notes are going really fast. I would recommend this game even to people who normally don't like to play games, because it's really fun and you can make it easy or complicated depending on how high you set your...

Rock Band 2 is a great social game. It's perfect for when you're having a party or just hanging out with friends. There is an in-depth training mode that is really helpful if you've never played Rock Band before. It tells you how to play each instrument and guides you through step by step. I played the first 3 Guitar Hero games before getting RB 2, and it isn't difficult to adjust. GH: World Tour peripherals are actually compatible with Rock Band 2, so don't bother getting two sets of instruments for both games! There is a wide assortment of music from indie rock to heavy metal and the selections spans across a few different decades as well.

When you're just starting out, the songs can get repetitive, and you might have trouble finding 4 people to play with. The easiest way to find more people is by going online, Once you get enough stars and fans to unlock more cities and venues, it'll pick up the pace.

If you've never played a rhythm game before but would like to try one, get Rock Band...

What can I say about Rock Band 2? It is one of the most popular franchise games out there and the never ending list of downloadable tracks keeps growing and growing every week. You can bang it out on drums, shred it on guitar or scream your lungs out on vocals with their own specially made plastic intrusments. The game itself has a huge World Tour mode, which lets one to four people play out their biggest fantasy in a rock and roll band spanding all across the globe in a battle to become a Rolling Stones Rock Immortal. Outside of the world tour mode is a sprawling online play, which lets people play others online with or against each other in 4 different competitive modes. Starting from easy tracks that will almost put you to sleep, to blistering, hand throbbing, throat burning songs that can easily get you frustrated. But fear not, it's all in good fun and anybody who is a fan of music and video games will love this one.

While more of a performance tweak than an actual sequel, Rock Band 2 is still the best music game on the market today. The game comes with over 80 songs on disk and 20 free songs with a special code in the instruction booklet. The game is also compatible with nearly all songs from the original Rock Band with the purchase of a minimal licensing fee. New songs are made available for download each week. The song selection is widely varied spanning multiple genres from country to black metal. To date there are ovr 700 songs available for download. Unfortunately, at $2 a pop downloading all the songs would be prohibitively expensive. Most songs are featured in "Track Packs" which mitigates some of the cost, but you usually end up with a few songs that you really ont like when purchasing the packs. The peripherals included with Rock Band 2 are very good, though they can be battery hogs. Buy rechargable batteries and you will save tons of money on power.

This game is so cool, my name is Kelly and I never dreamed they would come out with somethin like this. In the game Rock Band to you get to play some of your favorite songs by guitar drums and other instruments. This game is a teaching tool even though the instrument aren't actual instruments the game give kid and adult the real drive to actually try and learn how to play a real instrument. I do have the game Rock Band and the first time I played it we having a playing comperitition over sum drinks wit sum friends. This game was made for kids and believe me I'm 25 none of my friend are kids. All of my friend was all into the game. This game also has a great song selection list. I'm sorry but I got to say it this is another gamers injeanious idea. You get to learn how to play famous songs on a game with a instrument that makes you feel as if your in the game playing forreal thats jeanious

Once I played it, i notice that the controllers were very unresponsive except for the Microphone. It was very har, I got not ven 50 percent on the guitar nor the drums, I'd rather play guitar hero. All you need to do for the microphoe is say a random noise in it but it still has to be high/low.Rock Band 2 is very expensive for additinal tracks. I wouldn't waste 2 bucks just for 3-4 minutes. I would rather go on Guitar Hero 3 and download a track for only one dollar.Although, Rockband 2 has many tracks including Track packs. Overall I thnk it an OK game

Rock Band 2 is the S**T!! I adore this game... I don't personally own it, but I would love to own it myself!! Right now I just have Guitar Hero for playstation 2, but it is good practice for Rock Band ! Needless to say, I have a tendency to pick up the guitar when I play rock band with my friends, I have a great time with the drums also, but I get embarrassed when it comes to holdin the mic!! Its just a blast tho. getting together with friends havin a few cold beers and pizza, while gettin down on some rock band. Its a trip dude! So much fun... We bond and make friends with people we don't even know. Its amazing. Rock Band has so much power!! It has the power to bring even strangers together. Now that's gotta mean something, RIGHT!!! So anyway I'm sure you got the idea, right! I totally dig rock band!!

We love to play this game, but wish there were more songs on it to choose from. Its not fun to play a song you have never heard of. I was surprised by the small choice of downloadable songs also. But otherwise, it is a lot of fun. I also wish there were a way to make the words for singing larger, they can be hard to see, even on our tv which is fairly big.

When I first saw Rock Band 2 I wasn't sure I would be able to play, I am not musically talented at all. After I tried a few songs on easy, I was completely addicted. It's a great game for even the most novice gamer. It give you a chance to let loose, and try your hand at becoming a rock star! I would highly recommend this game to anyone who wants to have some fun, and have a good time with friends.

What can I say? If you enjoyed the original Rock Band, you'll like Rock Band 2. The gameplay hasn't been tampered with and a lot of improvements are made. Firstly if you can't get a group together, you can still do World Tour in single player mode. Also you can use the same character on each instrument, rather than in the previous game where you had to create a separate character for each instrument you want to play. There's also the new Battle of the Bands setting that rocks (no pun intended)
Speaking of which, I was a bit disappointed in the character customization in RB2. There was a lot of opportunity to bring in some fresh, new clothes and hairstyles for your characters. Instead it was mostly more of the same. There was some new stuff, but not a lot.

This game is the most realistic game with the best feeling of the guitar and drums. With its endless songs being added every Tuesday (which you need to purchase) you would have something to play almost every week. No matter what you system you get it for whether 360 or PS3 you will be playing it for hours and have the most fun for you and your friends.

Rock Band 2 for Xbox 360

The game is more of the same that we saw in Rock Band, but with a couple more twists. The challenges are fun, but can be a little daunting at the higher levels. You can now defeat the tour mode without stepping up to hard difficulty, which is a bonus for players who enjoy staying casual with the game. All in all, a fun experience and a nice step up for the series....
